The Capital Grille - Hartford

Food and service were excellent. First time out to eat in a very long time and it was a great experience. It was my birthday and they have complementary drinks and desert.

Ron, our waiter was incredible. He made our anniversary dinner very special. We look forward to our next visit at the Capital Grille Hartford.

Service by our waiter Jordon was top notch. We ordered 3 meals my daughter meal and my meal was very good. My wife ordered her steak med-well 1st one came out well done. They tried a 2nd time by butterflying it (for a quicker temp) this also came out well done. The 2nd steak the manager was trying to say it was med by saying see the pink. There was no pick was over cooked. We expected top level food and they only hit a homer run on two out of the three meals. They did comp the dinner but my expectation was quality food for the price. I will return hoping next time they get it right

Excellent experience for me and my nephews for a “guys dinner”. Out server, Marc, went above and beyond through the entire evening. Just a wonderful evening on all levels.

Ordered cup of lobster bisque. Received and paid for a bowl. Did not want vinegrette on the heirloom tomatoes. Had to send it back.

It was my 2 year anniversary. They had park roses and a card when we came in. It felt extremely special. They also took a picture and printed for us as a memory. It was truly an experience. I loved it! The service was professional and very kind. The food was great! They cooked my steak exactly how I wanted it. Overall an amazing restaurant!

The capital Grille is usually very special. I have to say that this visit was very pedestrian. The food was just average. My Caesar salad was less than average. The steak was OK. But for $47, it was a disappointment. I’m hoping it was just a bad night for the restaurant

I went to Capital Grille to celebrate one of my friends birthday and as usual they did not disappoint. Steaks were delicious and service impeccable.

Although Capital Grille NEVER fails, our waitress, Chelsea, was phenomenal! She was out of this world! She was very attentive, and was just so down to earth. Me and my daughters absolutely loved her! Thanks a lot for a wonderful experience yet again!

We’ve dined at Capital Grill quite a bit and have always enjoyed it. However, last night was a huge disappointment. From the service and the food preparation of our main entrees. We will be back but not right away.

Our waitress Lizbeth was amazing and very attentive, the food was very delicious! Best tenderloin and lobster ever! My only criticism is the price our portion of steak and lobster seemed meek for $55 and did not include sides. Definitely not cheap eats. But great for date night/ and splurging.

Kept hearing great things about this restaurant so four of us decided to give it a shot on my 30th birthday.

PARKING- In front of the restaurant, there is some parking but you will more than likely need to rely on the garage parking in the area.

AMBIANCE- The restaurant was very classy, up-scale with low-lighting.

SERVICE - The service we had was very good. The waitress was very friendly, communicative, and attentive. She answered all questions thoroughly and made recommendations that were excellent.

MENU - The menu had a good amount of options especially if you were looking for a steak. Everything at this restaurant is a la carte as well.

FOOD/DRINKS - The drinks were simply excellent. Two people had a standard drink and two ordered the bohemian which they loved.

For appetizers, we ordered a dozen oysters, calamari, New England Clam Chowder, & a French Onion soup. Everything tasted extremely fresh and excellent.

For dinner we had a special bone-in Filet Mignon & South African Lobster Tail, Lamb-chops, Chef Suggested Filet with Onions & mushrooms, and Bone-In Ribeye.

All of the food was cooked to perfection and tasted very good. The only thing I would have said was the Lamb although it was good, wasn't as highly impressive as the other food was.

For the table sides we ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese, Truffle Fries, and Asparagus. The lobster Mac and Cheese was amazing, the truffle fries were good, and the asparagus was good (can't really mess that up)

PRICES - The prices were fair for the quality of food and service. Obviously, it's an expensive restaurant but you get what you pay for most of the time.

OVERALL - I would return to this restaurant. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all fantastic. I also would highly recommend it to anyone whose looking for a good dinner for a special occasion.

Ribeye was fantastic. Had to try the lobster tail addition. 1st try with lobster at fancy restaurant. I’m not a lobster person, but steak and sides were well worth it. Always would recommend the Capital Grille!

We had an excellent experience. The couple who joined us had never been to Capitol Grille. And loved it so much she wanted to come back next Wednesday for her birthday.

Hartford’s go to location for high end steak and dining. Great service, perfect steak, and great atmosphere for celebrating special events. Gladly be back again and again.

We sat at the bar. And as always Jose and Justin gave us impeccable service. Drinks were wonderful food was exquisite
