The Dime

We went to the Dime before a hockey game. It was very pleasant, with good food and reasonably priced. Would recommend it and will certainly return again soon.

We were there to celebrate Birthdays with friends. The entire evening was wonderful. Everyone we encountered from the hostess, servers were very helpful. Had a late dinner then stayed for the entertainment in the bar - Ginger and the Schnapps - love them! We will be back.

Really nice place and good food. We’d go again!

My wife and I enjoyed our date night at The Dime. The food is very good as was the service. The atmosphere was terrific and aided by eclectic diners. We will definitely go back as a couple or with a group of friends.

We went to see Emmitt Harris and band member play. Super great!

We had plans to go to the Phantoms game and wanted to eat before the game so we discovered The Dime, somewhere new for us. The atmosphere was wonderful, with live music and the decor was beautiful! We went for the Sunday brunch and it was AMAZING!!!!!! Food was quickly delivered, delicious, the build your own bloody mary bar was fabulous! We loved it there and will surely return!

All good, wrong order came out, quickly fixed, no harm done

Beautiful restaurant, great location. Relaxing atmosphere. Good staff. Problem is the food. Severely overdressed salad under done vegetables and overpriced. The proteins were cooked well but everything else was note noteworthy in any respect. Would not recommend as you can get a much better meal at a better price nearby.

We had the brunch buffet. Everything was great! I have never had such delicious breakfast potatoes. Great selection with tasty berries, oatmeal (which even my mom loved!) Omelettes made to order were great too!

Went for New Year’s Eve dinner prefix menu not worth the $85 per person. Need a better selection of food forget the presentation concentrate more on quality of food left feeling still hungry.

We had the XMAS Buffet - it was a perfect blend of hot and cold dishes - we enjoyed the experience - we will definitely go back for dinner - Nice ambiance

The Dime has excellent ginger beer which makes for great Moscow Mules. The rest of the food was not on par for a fine dining restaurant. And the service was extremely slow. Took 45 min from the time we arrived to get our apps and then we wait 10 min after finishing our apps for our entrees. The restaurant was not busy. We had planned 2-1/2 for dinner before Christmas eve service and ended up having the desserts packed in order to get to the service on time. With so many find dining options in the Lehigh Valley, we probably won't be going to The Dime again.

The view from our table was amazing- the service was impeccable- the food was delicious-but even tho you had high chairs - so you must expect babies or toddlers at some point - you do not have a changing table in the restroom - even though the restroom is very large and could easily accommodate one installed that flips down from the wall - give it some thought!

Food was overcooked and menu was limited. Service took really long considering his few people were in the restaurant. First time here. Probably won’t return.

Beautiful Atmosphere....... Exceptional services

My husband and I went to The Dime for the first time. Great food! I had lamb shank and he had strip steak. I also had a great cocktail, the strawberry shuffle. Will definitely go back.

The Dime has a chic atmosphere, friendly staff, and well prepared food. Went there for a special occasion , and the manager sent us complementary desserts for the table. Very thoughtful, and completely unexpected. When I’m next in Allentown, The Dime will be my go-to spot.

Service was pitiful. It was a buffet but the server never came to refill our water. We had to seek her out after almost an hour and then had to wait an additional 20 minutes for her to pick up our check.

Excellent food and service from Brandy. We have never been disappointed.

It was a limited event menu. Check on this before you go.

Went to see TSO and stopped over for dinner. I believe they had a special menu- “an event menu”. It’s a very small menu with limited selection but it is understandable as it is geared for quicker service. I had a crab cake burger. It was okay. Nothing special. My husband had a hamburger with $2 cheese add-on. Did not try any appetizer or desert.

Good food but limited menu and a bit expensive. Service is great and facility is clean and modern.

The drinks were good, the food was good but not worth the price.

We were seated quickly upon arrival. The restaurant did not appear busy at all. There were 4-5 servers working the floor. We waited 15 minutes and no one approached our table to take a drink order. At that point we left and told the hostess about the issue.

Small portions but outstanding food and atmosphere!

While the happy hour was moderately attended, the 1/2 off apps were delicious. I had the crispy brussel sprouts and the turkish beef skewers. The sauce on the sprouts was killer and positively addictive. They could have been a bit more crispy but i would absolutely order them again. The beef skewers had a nice spice and dipping sauce with a small marinated veg salad containing, split cherry tomatoes, diced cuke, red onion and green pepper on a bed of bib lettuce. They were very filling and I was happy for both as my entree. I wasn't a fan of the Sycamore Lane chard as their house wine on 1/2 off, however, I'm sure it will appeal to many. I would return to try a the chicken sliders and the house-made hummus.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. The meals were high priced because you’re paying for presentation. The drinks were pretty good. The bar area had a DJ and a nightclub atmosphere which was cool. It was separate from the restaurant but easily accessible if you wanted to go there after your meal.

Lovely greeting from the hostess and warm table service. Food was simple , fresh, Delicious and perfectly prepared and seasoned. The only call out would be that the atmosphere felt a bit corporate (think Marriott hotel restaurant) and warm
And inviting ....

Generally ok meal, except my tuna (which I asked for medium rare per my own preference as well as the server’s indication that the chef recommended same) came out with barely a hint of pink inside, completely over cooked. Also the offered mocktails were very sweet: those of us who choose not to drink would like something more interesting to whet our appetites than a club soda or, in this case, a martini glass of dissolved sugar. Other than that, soups, pasta and burgers were good; ambiance very nice.

The food was great, the service very good and the restaurant was beautiful.

We had stopped going to the DIME b/c I felt it's food & service were lacking. We thought we'd give it a try again and were so glad we did. Obviously someone turned it around and it was a really great dinner! We'll for sure go again.

Stopped in for quick appetizers. The location is perfect. Drinks were the best we’ve had in Allentown.

I actually was a little worried because even though the food reviews were great some people complained about the service they received during their dinner. I have to be honest food is great and quality. Our server was great, attentive, nice and accommodating. I have nothing bad to say about her. It was my husband’s birthday and she was so nice to us and made sure he got a special treatment for his birthday even though we really did not ask for anything special. The decor of the place is beautiful and the view is great!!!! Highly recommend!

Food was very good. Ambience incredible...view was beautiful, decor very swanky and tasteful. Service? Not so much. We repeatedly waited for the server to check in on us throughout our meal - AND WE WERE LITERALLY THE ONLY OCCUPIED TABLE IN THE RESTAURANT! I also had provided a heads-up note to them through OT that it was my wife’s birthday...a week ago when I made the reservation. Upon our arrival, I pulled the hostess aside privately and mentioned the note in the reservation and got “Oh, well, I don’t even read the notes” What?! Anyway, she assured me that now that they were aware, they’d handle it. I was good with it. Dinner happens. Dinner ends. Server brings the check and announces “A little bird told us it was your birthday today and, well, we were gonna get you a cake and stuff but, ummm, we gave you your first drink on the house instead.” And walked away. That is not how a $175 birthday dinner ends well. It was our first time there and, sadly, likely our last unless they get a more polished and prepared floor staff. They did not represent the elegance of the establishment at all. Give me The Shelby instead ANYTIME.
