The Fireside Restaurant, Waterfront Dining

Very gracious hostess, servers and manager made us feel special while accommodating us on the beautiful covered deck at The Port Ludlow Resort. The view is lovely and the farm to fork meals are wonderful!

Birthday lunch

During these pandemic times, having the opportunity to dine safely is truly a much appreciated experience. This was our third time dining outdoors at the Fireside and I'm sure we will return again. Tables are spread apart on the outside deck, with individual heaters beside each table. When dressed warmly (winter jacket, stocking cap, etc) dining is comfortable and intimate. We were pleased to have Paula as our server for the third time. Her joyful manner and attention to detail adds to the dining experience because she truly takes pride in her job. Dinner was excellent and we were appreciative that a selection of warm beverages were available. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hot Buttered Rum and would definitely order it again. A beautiful location, a warm drink, a delicious meal and lovely company -- what could be better!

Excellent food in a beautiful surrounding, with very thoughtful COVID-19 protocols.

First of all I miss going to restaurants, it was such a delight to have lunch at the fireside. Our wait person was exceptional, she made our outdoor dining warm both with lighting the outdoor heater and her customer service. The Food was outstanding, we had the steelhead , cooked to perfection as was the risotto and beach mushrooms which graced the plate...

Thank you for making my mom’s 86th birthday special! Loved the food and the service was spectacular!

We've occasionally dined at the Fireside over the last 15 years. It was always "acceptable" with a big plus for the sunset views over the Port Ludlow marina. But I've gotta say the food has taken a huge jump in quality in the last year or so. We've been back about 4 times in the last year and it seems to get better with each visit. New chef? I don't know, but we intend to make the trip once a month now instead of once a year. Kudos! Whatever you're doing, keep it up!!

With no dine-in on Thanksgiving, had wonderful Turkey dinner in our Inn room. Staff and service also excellent! Thanks for making our Covid Thanksgiving get a way special! We got to dine in the privacy of our wonderful Inn room, while zooming with family in 4 other states!

Thanksgiving takeout. Excellent turkey meal for two. Each item was very good. To Go containers a plus as they kept the food warm for drive home. Plenty of high quality food and reasonable cost.

We loved the Catch of the day and the drink menu. The martini was amazing! Excellent service and nice views.

At this time (due to the pandemic), The Fireside is only serving meals outside, but they have nice, warm outdoor heaters, the view of the marina and Puget Sound is gorgeous, and the food is delicious.

Our server Paula was attentive and sweet. Until restrictions on indoor dining are lifted, Fireside only has five or six tables available outside, so you definitely want to make a reservation. They are only open from lunch to 6 pm, but anyone who comes in before 6 pm will be served and can stay until they’re done.

We came at 3:30 pm on a Saturday when the temperature was 47 degrees outside, but we we dressed for it (heavy coats, gloves, beanies, etc.), so it was really very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant.

And when restrictions are lifted, come back and sit inside by the fireplace. The ambiance is lovely. Oh, you will also want to come back in the summer and dine by the waterside in warm weather. It’s a special place.

Chicken pasts dish was tasteless. Disappointed! Otherwise, it was a nice dinner with great service!

We just love the Fireside. We've not felt safe dining out during Covid, but had to be out of our home for construction - we felt super safe and taken care of! Thank you!

We had a dinner reservation for Friday night for two on October 30. We were seated outside on the deck which is quite nice overlooking the marina and out onto the water. They have outside heaters but when it starts to cool down heaters don’t do much to keep you warm. Other than that this is one of our new favorite restaurants. Great restaurant anchors the boutiquish Inn. Nice spaces for each table, great deck. Food was stellar, and cocktails were varied and unique and well presented.

Went to celebrate the Wife’s Birthday, and it was a real success. Fantastic food, service, and friendliness. A perfect evening!

Truly a wonderful experience. We were seated by the actual fireplace...not too hot and great ambience! Our food was very good! The only thing was our risotto was still crunchy...but risotto is not easy to make so we understand. Our waitress suggested an entree and I ordered it...so delicious. She also made me a special non alcoholic drink since I am pregnant and was not able to partake in the lovely wine selection. She was a fantastic server.

Dinner for my wife and I was the best and I don't write like this often. The quality of the food was amazing and the best meal we have received in decades. Well worth the trip.

We ate here in the summer and it was amazing so we decided to come back for my birthday. However, this time just wasn’t the same. The halibut was extremely dry with no flavor and my husband had the flat iron steak which was not the same quality as before. It also wasn’t cooked correctly ( he asked for medium rare and it was well done). I did enjoy the wine and the dessert and the view is still beautiful! We did have lunch there the next day and it was much better. The waitress was very warm and friendly and I was happy that it was a better experience from the previous night.

We experienced an amazing Tasting Menu with Wine Pairings for our anniversary. Each course was beautifully presented and of wonderful quality. Made our evening special!

The mussels were fantastic. Plump and seasoned very well. The staff is always so attentive and friendly. Our server was Karolyn and she was awesome. Thank you for such a lovely evening.

Beautiful restaurant, excellent service. My husband and I ordered the flat steak, and the Salmon. Our dinner was so delicious. We can’t wait to go back!

Our server Nickie was excellent! We ( four in our party) thought she needed a title such as “Captain Marvel”! She accommodated our needs and wishes happily, and though she did delay a drink order, she comped it.
The food was locally sourced and good ( big fans of the bread and tapenade).
We sat by the fireplace with a great view of the marina, not having to share the room with anyone else, giving us a very relaxing experience.

We had outstanding service. We had breakfast and dinner twice while staying at the resort. The food was wonderful and all the wait staff we had exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all my family and friends when they stay in Port Ludlow. We had a wonderful time and will be back for another visit.

This was our first time at the Fireside, what a pleasant surprise, outstanding all the way around, great happy hour, very reasonable menu and wonderful setting. We will be back
