Glad to be back at The Food Market with the return of indoor dining. Enjoyed the flavor of my favorite Cream of Crab soup but, unfortunately, it was not warm. Our server, Andy, hustled the whole time we were there. The whole team was obviously pulling together to get food out and tables cleared to seat the next diners. Our other food was great though still trying to get a happy medium with the Shrimp Dinner which IMO swims in the cajun cream sauce.

This review has nothing to do with the establishment itself but more or less the app. I booked reservations for 29 Dec at 845pm. Showed up it was closed and there was another couple that had 830pm reservations in the same boat. The place closed at 8pm but I was able to make reservations a week in advance, and even got confirmation text for my reservation the day of. The hours need to be updated for hours of operation.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! The food is amazing as well as the customer service. Every dish is a well thought out blend of wonderful flavors -a party in your mouth. My go to dinner favs are the short ribs that melt in your mouth, crab cake and the wings are the perfect blend of savory with a hint of honey! Brunch never disappoints!

Loved our server! Food was superb, as always, as well. My mom and I went through just about the whole menu as we don’t make it there together enough. Our server coursed everything out perfectly. Go back and support the creative and fun menu and kind staff.

Always a great experience here. What made it better this time was the very courteous staff and how much care they take with serving drinks and food along with cleaning and sanitizing. Plus, they have the tables spaced nicely. Thanks to all that work there. BTW, burger and chix sandwiches were awesome!

Had the creamy spicy garlicky shrimp and yellowtail meatballs. Way too much pepper not enough garlic in the sauce. Yellowtail was interesting and tasty. Chose the duck parts for entree and immediately regretted it. Duck leg and thigh were over cooked and dried out. Breast was okay but very bland. Came with large helping of Brussels sprouts and I think what tasted like a piece of fried dough. Bird up cocktail was fantastic and service was fine. Overall very disappointed this trip to Food Market

All I could was shake my head while eating, it was that good!!! The waiter was very attentive and sweet. Even the other employees as we were leaving were very attentive and polite. Will be coming back every time I visit the area!

Great food & drinks. Did a great job at following Covid safety protocols, took temp upon arrival & had tables spaced out, all staff wearing masks. There are too many yummy menu items to choose just 1 or 2! Will definitely be back.

We dressed in layers ate outside. There’s no outside heaters, but we were fine. Food and service were fantastic. We will definitely be back.

Deliious salmon, tuna, popcorn!, "boring ceasar salad" and brussels. Everything was better than expected.

Love the covid standards that are being maintained. Everyone on staff was friendly and personable. I’ve been to this restaurant many times and love Chef Chad. It was a great experience and my marketing manager still hasn’t stopped talking about how amazing everything was!

Love, love, love most of their dishes. I got the fried chicken breast for the first time. Very crispy and yummy, but maybe could have used more seasoning.
They are doing a good job with Covid rules, server was in great mood about it all and table on the sidewalk was very city life like!

Freaking amazing find! As someone who searches these places out and lives in the happening Philly restaurant scene the bar is pretty high. These guys nailed it. From service to decor. But... the food!!! Great food isn’t easy to find and you can’t just go by the number of stars. Pick this place if you love excellent food. You’re welcome in advance!

Food was great. The appetizers were superb. Dining outside in Hampden is always an experience. Can’t wait to go back when things are normal and we are comfortable eating inside.

This was my fourth visit to the Food Market. I’ve always had great food and drinks and was very satisfied, but this time it was just average. Everything was too salty. The service was ok. The tables were spaced so we felt safe eating inside.

Great time! I was running a few minutes late due to the weather and it wasn’t a problem at all when I arrived! Great food! Hadn’t seen my best friend all year due to the covid so it was a great time catching up with her!

Brunch at The Food Market is one of the best! This was our second visit for brunch and we could not pass up the french toast dippers. They are a decadent treat to start off with and I highly recommend those. The pretzels with beer cheese is another favorite. For my main course, I had the short rib benedict which was out of this world amazing! My boyfriend had the Baltimore club and loved it. The brunch cocktails were great too. Our server was fantastic, very friendly and personable. Can't say enough good things about The Food Market and we can't wait to go back.

Every experience we have had at The Food Market has been outstanding. Our waiter remembered our preferred drinks after a year. Every aspect is top class there!

The Food Market always knocks it out of the park. We dined outside and in the cold and it was still absolutely worth it. Their servers are so kind and knowledgeable about the menu, and the menu is bomb. Great cocktails and wine selections. Killer small plates. You can't order the wrong thing because there is no wrong thing. 10/10 would recommend.

For $100, my family of four enjoyed a wonderful mid-day Saturday brunch. This included a perfect Bloody Mary and a Fall Mimosa.

TFM is my favorite Hamden restaurant! The food is outstanding! The spaghetti and crab meatballs is my favorite dish. The drinks are excellent. Service is friendly. Due to COVID they are closed for indoor dining but they have awesome takeout deals! Highly recommended!
