The Gambling Cowboy Chophouse and Saloon
Great service; very knowledgeable and informative server; paid attention to our table -- a really great experience.
We made reservations for six thirty pm. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. The server was very good and took our order, mostly on memory. Impressive. She said she had a BA from CSUF.
The food was what you´d expect for $32.00 a plate a la carte. Good.
We´ve been there before and recommend it.
Best food ever and would recommend highly to others.
Enjoyed the rib Eye and the sirloin steaks and they were great. The rib eye was very juicy and tender. The baked potato that I had with it was cooked perfectly. But the best part of the meal was our server who was both attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.
It was our anniversary. We always come to Gambling Cowboy on our special occasions. We had never been disappointed with Gambling Cowboy before, however, Sunday July 7th, was disappointing. It was noisy. I had the braised short ribs or should I say rib. $28 for one rib was a bit much, plus it tasted like a dry roast. I make better short ribs at home, so I was totally unhappy. My wife had the sirloin. Again, it was too small for what was paid. She ordered medium, and it came well done. So she sent it back. Used to be the meat took up the entire plate at GC, not anymore. Normally we spend $200 plus, thankfully we kept it to $116.00. Actually for the pitiful dinner we had, that was too much. Guess we will have to find another “go to” spot for our special occasions, because GC is not it anymore.
Awesome food and great service
Birthday. No one acknowledged.
The food was amazing and the only way i can describe every bite was Happiness. We went there my my husband and mines 1st wedding anniversary. For a random search for an upscale steakhouse that i needed to know which fork to use for salad, this was worth it. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality of food makes up for that. I am sure there is a fee to share a plate, but the food was definitely big enough to share. Not only were the steaks good, but so were the sides. I have never liked green beans, but theirs were amazing. The mac n cheese is definitely a go to to try.
Been going for many years.
Very well staffed with many fast, helpful, kind, cheerful.............people
Awesome Service was excellent
Excellent food. Excellent service. Excellent everything. Prime rib, rib eye and salmon were really fine choices. Loved it.
Everything was so awesome. The food was delicious. Our service was excellent. We will be returning.
Wife found a long hair, attached to her garlic bread. Showed our waitress. Her reply was "no one in the kitchen has long hair". It sounded as though she doubted what my wife showed her. The waitress response was insulting and embarrassing to my wife. I dont believe the incident was reported to a manager. No one else spoke with us about the incident. Thats not the kind of hygiene incident that should be dismissed. Not the response i expected from a high end restaurant in temecula. Disappointing. Maybe we'll hear from you. On the way out, my wife slipped and fell on the wood floor. Food/ambience was great, but patron care was lacking. Thursday, four days later. Still havent heard from personnel ti take a report. Corp. E MAIL next.
I always get the Bill’s Cut Filet....it was cooked perfectly as usual!!!! ....and Shelley, our server, was outstanding!
Excellent food and service! Nice place to celebrate a special occasion.
Steaks were overdone...twice..
Going away dinner for a friend
Awesome steak and sides. Only downside was a kid playing a game on a cellphone at full volume. Not necessarily the restaurant’s fault...what’s wrong with people??
Took my steady date for a romantic evening. We chose to sit outside and the table was perfect. The appetizer started us off (calamari) and was very tasty. My date had a filet and I had the country fried steak. Both were made to perfection. Our server was very attentive and had a great personality and always a smile. After dinner we went over to the bar and listened to music. 2 guys singing songs from the 60's and 70's. Perfect way to end a great date nite.
Yes, will return. Only negative is the cost of valet parking. I realize parking is at a premium in Old Town Temecula, especially on a Saturday nite. But price seemed excessive. My guess is the valet parking is handled by an independent company, not by the restaurant.
Thank you for making our evening special.
Always great food and service. No disappointments here!
The service was spectacular! The steak wasn't cooked quite long enough and the manager totally took care of the situation. The manager and server checked on us to be sure we were happy. Such great customer service!
Great food and environment. Food was excellent as always and no complaints of staff.
I LOVED this restaurant. The service, drinks, and food was fantastic. They even included a free dessert for my birthday!
My husband and I decided to celebrate our 36th wedding anniversary at The Gambling Cowboy as we have in the past and it did not disappoint.
I had the filet and my husband had the bone-in ribeye and both were delicious. We also were treated to a decadent mousse for dessert.
I had a glass of wine and would like to say that I appreciate the generous wine pour!
The menu pricing is on the higher end, but the food, ambiance, and service are fantastic and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Gambling Cowboy.
Had reservations and it was busy, but we were seated quickly. Drinks and appetizer came out fast. Meat was cooked correctly. Sides and dessert were both very good, as was our server. Looking forward to returning when we are in the area again.
Sat outside, great time. They had an issue with our order but made it right.
Went for birthday dinner...it was delicious!
I highly recommended this restaurant. The food is fabulous and I love the wine selection from the local wineries.
This is our faborite steakhouse in temecula. Food and drinks are always excellent and we love no.corkage fee on local wines. Def be back here soon
We frequently eat here. Our favorite place by far. But tonight very disappointed. Waitress was horrible in every way. Felt rushed felt unvalued. Rushed to order and the. Waited forever to get s check. Completely unacceptable. Will have to think twice before I go back.
Bone in ribeye
Enjoyed a fantastic Mother's day brunch with my wife and daughter! Service on par as always and food selection for the brunch buffet was insane...our mouths watered and eyeballs about fell out from the many choices. Everything was delicious, from the appetizers, prime rib, ham, eggs benedect and too many sides to cover, not to mention the omelettes to order... perfection! Thanks for another outstanding meal! We will be back again!
We Love the Gambling Cowboy! Decor is great, all of the staff is super friendly and the food is amazing!
Excellent way to spent quality time with your best friends. The food and service were excellent and we will definitely be back!
Seated by the patio door in the back. With all of the people coming in and out you think our service would have been a bit better... The food was excellent!
We had an early reservation and were seated on the patio overlooking downtown. The short rib dinner, the ambiance, and the service all made for a wonderful night out. This was our second visit to Gambling Cowboy and next time we will be coming with friends.
Great casual steakhouse experience. Terrific service and high quality food. Definitely try the marrow bones.
This is my favorite restaurant in town. Always the best
It was a great place! Outstanding food and not too pricey for a steakhouse. The ambiance was fun and inviting. Our waitress was fantastic. You should definitely check it out!
Best chophouse that we have experienced. After dinner we sat at the bar for an after dinner drink but the bartenders ignored us for about 5 minutes.
Three bartenders on duty that evening and not very attentive to us. The girls were to busy talking their regular customers.
