The Greek By Anatoli - Yaletown
Great food and good service at a fantastic price! Great spot post events at BC Stadium.
music had too much bass too loud
service slow, not enough staff for number of tables, lots of takeout for kitchen to deal with in tables
Favourite restaurant in Yaletown! LOVE the food! Highly recommend it!
Great service. Rachel took good care of us
Food quality was not good
Great food. Great place to have dinner with friends or family . We will be back
Great food. Quick service. Never been disappointed.
Excellent food. Service was fine but certainly not exceptional.
We had made a reservation, which was good because it filled up quickly. Service, food and atmosphere were all good! The shared souvlaki platter was a good choice and delicious. The only complaint we would have was that it got extremely noisy because the DJ seemed to have no concept of noise level. We were there with friends and would have liked to not have to shout to be heard.
Generous portions. Took my beautiful date K out here for lumch.
Delicious chicken & Greek salad!!
some of the best Greek food we have found for a while. Excellent appetizers and like the family style serving if the main dishes.
Noise level could be muted more (maybe some sound absorbing materials on the walls and music at lower level so people can converse easily.
Food was ok, nothing special. The most off-putting thing was the load RAP MUSIC, playing the entire time. So probably should have given a zero for ambiance.
As always the food was excellent, service and ambiance good.
Always a pleasure and a joy to visit here!!!
I’ve never had a bad experience and I’ve nothing bad to say. They are always so gracious and accurate with my food allergy modification. The food is so satisfying and DELICIOUS. Best Greek in the lower mainland bar none! Highly recommend it!
The country lamb was very good as usual. I like that they have now added more veggies to the dish and it is as delicious as ever. I felt the tables were too small and squeezed into the space which made it difficult to enjoy the meal.
Music was too loud. More like a bar or nightclub than a restaurant.
Good food but took over 30 minutes to arrive
We are from San Francisco and grew up eating Greek food. The food at The Greek tasted just like home! Will be back on my next visit to Vancouver.
VENUE WAS FINE, BUT TO OUR LIKING IT WAS VERY NOISY.
Always a pleasure to dine at The Greek. Love their new Happy Hour menu and sitting on the seated patio which is quieter than inside. Service and staff always friendly and helpful. Love their food.
Great food the entrees are huge enough to share appetizers are tasty be careful not to over order
We loved the atmosphere, service outstanding and food was on point, we will be back again!
LOVE this restaurant! Cute and cozy with some of the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten! Highly recommend a visit :)
Great place to hang out and have your favourite Greek dishes. Very friendly staff, excellent service, good location and from our vantage point (we sat up top)...really good vibe from the crowd that was coming and going
Absolutely divine! It was my first time trying Greek food and I wish I hadn’t waited so long. The Greek by Anatoli was perfect. I’m already planning my next visit.
Fantastic food but music was too loud in addition to the room clatter. They should turn down the music a bit.
Was great. Only concerns were, tables were a little close and the bathroom outside the establishment with a code lock on the door was a bit inhospitable
We went here for a birthday dinner. The service was great.
Amazing food and ambience ! My favorite Greek restaurant and will definitely keep coming back .
Fun downtown Yaletown vibe with great food and service. Patio is nice in the warm weather however we were inside this visit and I'd recommend asking for a table against the wall or railing.
Food was great. Not excellent because we found the chicken souvlakia sort of dry and seemed deep fried or something. Not juicy chunks of marinated chicken, instead dry small pieces squished onto the skewer. Wasn’t awful but different than expected.
Good food, good service. Nothing spectacular but we would go back.
It was amazing, the food was great and our waiter was super nice!! I recommend the chicken gyro. It’s so good!!!
Good intentions but cooking quality was just not there. Meat was overcooked, which resulted in dryness. Feels like it's an "OK restaurant" from the 1990's. In 2019 or 2020, I expect much higher quality, cooking-skills wise. That restaurant could be extremely successful if it paid much more attention to the quality of cooking. Why? Because there are not so many Greek restaurants in Yaletown. So, if you get it right, you can be really awesome. Let me know if you get there, then I'll happily come back. Otherwise I'll keep away.
A fun place to eat. The Lamb platter is excellent. We had great service and really enjoyed our meal. We have eaten in the Yaletown location and in the Gastown location and both were great.
Excellent lunch. Thankfully, we were able to sit out on the patio as the music indoors was much too loud for us.
Reservation was made for 5:45 and had drinks at the bar previous to this. Told the front we were all here at 5:45 and were seated. After which for 20 minutes no one came one came around, we went back to the bar to get drinks and then had to go back to tell the front we are looking for service. Aside from that it was a good meal, ambiance and atmosphere.
Good food but one my guests received a rabbit dish which did not contain the ingredients advertised on the menu. The service was friendly but got less efficient as the evening wore on. The noise level from the DJ rendered conversation impossible without shouting although I was told the DJ did not feature earlier in the evening or at all on Monday to Wednesday.
We've read the reviews before going. The recommended choices, such as dried zucchinis as the starter and the lamb main course were great. The other two, calamari and spanakopita, were both below average (I really love spanakopita and can distinguish between good, average, and below average). Overall it's a mixed bag. You will fully enjoy it if selecting from the recommended items, but I would not recommend going beyond that list...
