    Been many times for many good experiences. This time I was very rudely treated by the waiter, Reuben, who told me that my tip was not satisfactory and they he “wipes his a—-with tips” in the amount I left. Thankfully, management is very professional and good and handled the situation.

    Tried this restaurant for the first time this week. Great food and service. We arrived shortly after opening on a Saturday. We were seated immediately. Hubby ordered the John Dory - now one of his new favorite seafood entrees. I had brick chicken. I had the empress gin cocktail and hubby paired his fish with a Grgich Chardonnay. Plus we ordered a special salad and dessert. All items were great. Tyrone was a great waiter—just personable enough and laughed at all of my husband’s jokes so a very successful evening overall. One thing I like about this place - they have resisted the industry-wide temptation to cut their menu down to a third of its original. For a steakhouse, they offer three (3), yes three, chicken menu items. Unheard of. Enough dessert items to offer a dessert menu. And a great cocktail and wine line-up. Markup is high on the wine for our taste but the whole experience is well worth it. We will be back.

    Classic old school hidden gem with excellent food and service. Just had the John Dory, which was sublime. Of course the shrimp cocktail with a martini is a must here. Tyrone provided excellent, attentive service. Def worth a visit.

    We came to celebrate my friend’s birthday. Nice selection on the menu from a burger to a pot pie to steaks and seafood. Great comfort food and excellent service. I haven’t been here in a few years and now I can’t wait to come back. Our server was outstanding and the bus boys never let our glasses go empty.

    I hold Grill on the Alley in the highest regard. One less than pleasant thing which has come up, is that twice in the past three visits, when checking the bill, I have noticed that I was being charged for items I did not order. Both times they were removed however it is a bit disheartening to find these charges on there in the first place.

    Absolutely gorgeous meal at The Grill on the Alley. We felt completely pampered because the service and ambience is just great. We had the New York steaks which were so delicious and a chocolate cake for dessert. All the food was spot on! Two very happy tourists from the UK. Thank you.

    Great establishment in Beverly Hills . It’s wonderful that it is still thriving. It’s a little expensive but worth the experience. The waiter was amazing . I suggest trying it at least once

    Wonderful atmosphere located off Rodeo Drive. Fabulous “old world” service with an attention to detail second to none. Food was delicious and our drinks were delightful. I highly recommend the Grill on the Alley.

    We had a great dinner! Fantastic appetizers! Onion soup was delicious the wedge of iceberg with blue cheese was fantastic and buffalo mozzarella with tomato sublime. Then we had a John Dori and a ribeye! So delicious! The strawberry shortcake was delectable!!! Great service!! Wonderful ambience!! We always have a great dinner here!!!

    We have the highest expectations when we go to the Grill on the Alley and more often than not these expectations are met. Last night was an example where the greeting was friendly, the atmosphere comfortable. The service was attentive and the food delicious. Cannot ask for more than that. My only complaint was that one of the diners was vacillating about ordering an appetizer of soft shell crabs or the dinner portion. The waiter kinda pushed for the dinner portion which was accepted. When the bill showed up we saw that the dinner portion was $75. Quite a bit more than an average meal. The price was never mentioned during the earlier discussion. That could have happened before the decision was made. Other than that, no complaints

    My favorite restaurant for 20 years was The Grill. I looked forward to every meal. When the original company went bankrupt, something was lost. It breaks my heart, but it’s just not that good anymore more. It’s good, not excellent. Ruth’s Chris is now my #1.

    We had not been to Grill on the alley in a long time. Which was a mistake. The food was really good. Highlights were the Cesar salad, Onion Soup! Be sure to order the garlic cheese bread on the side. Make that a fasting day it’s worth it. Lol 😂 our son had the lamb which was great! Creamed spinich. Definitely a 5/5, John Dory the best entree. The only thing we didn’t love were the lobster tails. It’s really hard with lobster. Easy to over cook we ate a third of the dish between the three of us. But not our favorite we would order John Dory and share it next time. Enough to share. With a few appetizers. Like shrimp cocktail which was also great. We really did not need even need lobster tails between the three of us. More than enough food. Good size portions. Great place for family dinner.

    Sadly, not as good as it use to be. Use to love coming here and enjoying everything from great steaks and fish to the stellar atmosphere. Excellent service staff but food was cold and lacked flavor. Not crowded either. Just not kept up to the times.

    Absolutely the Very Best. People know what there doing all the time. Food is great . All top quality ingredients. Fresh. Selection is great. If I lived here I would be here at least once a week. Love this place. But wish restrooms were on first floor. 🥰
