   Food was good as always service was very slow! Ordered 2nd drinks that never arrived not added to bill so never charged- was a shame as love the ivy and was hoping to sway my partner but sadly didn’t live up to my hype.!

   The location of the restaurante is very convenient as it is in Covent Garden. The staff was really nice and helpful. The food was tasty. The noise was too loud.

   We booked based on a theatre visit and looking for something close by. Booked The Ivy, from recommendations and we’re not disappointed. Great food and service. Because there were 2 of us we were shoehorned in, but it certainly didn’t spoil the experience. Our first time at The Ivy, and we’ll certainly be back.

   Had the special 2 course very nice shepherd pie was lovely and calamari to start drinks are expensive but was expected. restaurant in a great place for after show staff where very intentive. If you have the sough dough bread it will be enough to share for 2 Kids didn't like the kids meal but chose something else .lovely meal in a great location cost about £40-£50 each with a drink and service charge

   - It was a freezing day and the staff kept on opening the back door, allowing a cold draft through - this was not the main entrance into the venue. - The waiter was rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. Another waiter had to prompt him to take our order, the other waiter brought us water for the table and also our bill. - The food - the starter was ok, but the main was dry - no sauces were offered. - Would not come back here again!

   Visited The Ivy Market Grill for an anniversary brunch before going to a show. My husband had Eggs Benedict and I had Avocado Eggs Benedict. My husband really enjoyed his brunch dish and would definitely order again. The dishes were served very quickly and the service excellent. We were treated to lovely dessert as we were celebrating our anniversary, very nice personal touch.

   Did not get the table we asked for yet again , Small table in a noisy area Waitress was very slow but polite Waiter that served our coffees was very abrupt and rude and another table put a complaint in about him Sent emails , messages and even called the manager prior to booking insisted he would call back never did

    I enjoyed almost everything about this experience apart from the wait to be seated despite having made a reservation. Normally this doesnt bother me but i had booked that time in order to be at a show later that evening on time...ended up being seated a half hour after my reservation time.

    This was our third attempt to get into this restaurant, and we arrived a few minutes early. The hostess was not very friendly. We were told to wait at the bar as our table was not ready. At 15 minutes past our reservation time, my friend approached the hostess stand to inquire about our table. She was first questioned to prove her reservation, and then it turned out another table for two was given to others under my name, so people who came after got the table and food first. I had very low blood sugar and was starting to feel faint. We finally got a table after some scrambling. It felt like we were not even welcome there. I will say that the bar staff and our waitress were very nice. The food was decent, but my steak was bot worth the cost, and it came out medium rare instead of medium, but I was too famished to say anything. Instead of enjoying the experience, I rushed through my meal so I wouldn't faint. This dinner was supposed to be a celebration of things with my friend just as we arrived back on the train from Paris.

    Food was delicious. Our server disappeared; eventually another server brought our bill -never asked about dessert. We felt abandoned- it ruined a lovely meal.

    Lovely midweek brunch for my daughter's birthday. Service, food, atmosphere fabulous and a nice touch bringing a dessert with a candle in singing happy birthday... we shall be back.

    The restaurant was very busy but we were seated on a lovely table in the corner, the serving staff were very welcoming and made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. All the food we ordered was tasty and well presented. We have eaten in a few Ivy restaurants and all have been positive experiences where we will return to, and on this occasion Covent Garden we will visit again

    Overall a very nice evening. A little disappointed that the still water was served warm and the glass for a chilled beer was also warm. No complaints with the food and atmosphere, service were very good.

    We booked the Ivy on a recommendation , I have visited other of the chain many times. This was a birthday surprise, therefore a special occasion. The small table was directly by the bar, therefore constantly being pushed. I did state this was a special occasion on booking. The starter was fine. We sent back the house burger, it was over cooked , dry and totally unappetising, My chicken meal arrived, chicken still had the skin on, again as the meal had been sent back, with no real apologies, my meal looking not what I expected, therefore I left it we asked for the bill and left. No real table service after the complaint, gushing at first, but very noisy and waiting staff very inattentive when things are not to their liking.     This was an excellent experience from the moment I walked it to the second I left. The food was superb, and the service was excellent. I could not be happier with what I ordered (the shepherd's pie) and what the staff recommended (the broccoli). I loved the decor and will most definitely return.

    The restaurant smelled slightly rancid which was very off putting for a start. There was no privacy as the tables were quite crowded and close together. Food was delicious though and our waiter was lovely, although overstretched. Other staff hardly even made eye contact.

    We have visited other ivy restaurants and this was our least favourite. We booked months ago and was given a table by the bar. It was our anniversary celebration but was not very romantic having people continuously walking past and hitting us with bags! We asked to move but couldn’t. There was a very loud guest sat at the bar who we could barely hear ourselves over. Served warm beer which had to be sent back. Would not book this restaurant again as had much better times at other branches

    Was beautiful meal with attentive staff. Duck liver parfait was amazing, chicken mule wise was divine with truffle chips and green beans. My parents had shepherds pie and loved it. For desert we all had the chocolate bombe which was exquisite. Amazing experience and gorgeous restaurant 10/10

    Originally thought it was the Ivy in West Street but then was told I had booked the one around the corner in the Piazza, Covent Garden. The ambiance here was very different to West Street and lacked the buzz and charm of the original Ivy. Didn’t have 3 of the mock a tails I wanted but went for the 0.5% beer option instead. Overall the service was attentive and courteous and food was good but definitely will book the Ivy West street next time.

    The Ivy is usually a great chain, but have found that for someone with a nut allergy your options are limited. Whilst the menu offers a selection of classic meals, many have had nuts included into them, so there are few options left, and unfortunately, not much exciting remains without nuts. I personally would not be in a rush to go the Market Grill again.
