Our kids did not like the chicken burgers so did not eat.
Second order of drinks forgotten.
Disturbing to see mix of bubbles at all other tables. No enforcement of tier 3 restrictions at that time.
Terrible accoustics/loud volume in outside (cold) tented area...ruined any ambience.
Won't ever go back.

I found it really noisy and very slow service. It took an hour for my appetizer of ham and cheese pancakes to arrive. And then they overcharged me which I didn't realise until I got home. (I was rushing to get out with a tired baby). The food tasted ok, but not worth the wait or the price.

Just had their wild boar dumplings from the Substantial Food menu which was superb! Followed by the wild boar ravioli...again superb! The pasta is excellent! Great place & the young barman was most welcoming...look forward to our next visit. Well done The Jolly Farmer...keep up the good work!

The Pub team had worked hard to create a safe environment and it was a pleasure to support them. I met a friend for a business lunch and we. sat outside under canvas. The food was good quality and there was a large choice. I had spaghetti bolognese and my friend had Fish and Chips. They had extended the menu imaginatively in response to Lockdown rules. The beer (Marlow Roasted Nuts) was excellent.

Given the COVID restrictions the service and pub was as expected!

Had a really lovely evening with great food and service. Such a shame Lockdown 2 will mean we can’t enjoy it again for another month but will definitely be ordering their takeaways to keep us going until we can return!

Lovely dog-friendly pub. The duck in orange sauce was excellent, as were the staff.

Lunette al Tartuffo with fresh black truffles was just amazing...a real treat! A “must-try” for any food lover! The aroma was incredible and the truffle slices were super fresh! Thank you The Jolly Farmer!

Happy to know they will be providing takeaways & deliveries from Thursday after the Government announcement of the latest lockdown for November. Looking forward to still being able to enjoy their fabulous food!

Quite a few things on menu not available, no steaks at all, served on cold plates so food went cold quickly, 4 meals ordered 3 came out fairly quickly the 4th 10mins later,

Another Sunday lunch that was fantastic
We got lost in a field and were an hour late, they knew and were so flexible.
Go hungry and enjoy.
The pie was outstanding and many vegetarian options.

Despite the restrictions we sat in the main door by the fire and it was lovely, very cosy. The food was excellent and we had a great time. Highly recommend it.

A really cosy country pub with low beams and real fires, set in the beautiful village of Cookham. The beer is very well kept, I sampled the local Rebellion ale which was excellent. All the bar staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They also offer an extensive menu with loads of choice, including daily Specials. I chose the Frutti Di Mare spaghetti from their Specials board which was excellent. Definitely a place to visit if you’re after some good food!

Homophobic drunk woman [customer] ("makeup" smudged into her "hair"), tutted me and my partner and told us "seriously boys, no" in response to us looking "like we were going to kiss". "I can't believe they're allowed a one-way system and you boys can kiss!" she bleated, before she scarped herself off of the floor and dragged herself to the toilet, where she probably nested for a few days. On top of that, we're *fairly* certain the only other occupied table moved because they were uncomfortable (ironically, I think they were working out some "yellow-app" based agreement over some white wine). Took an hour to get our food and half an hour for a pint. The place was emptier than afforementioned womans skull and we were designated a corner table which might as well have been covered with a sheet the way we were avoided. Had to ask to be moved. Happy birthday to my partner!

Nice atmosphere in the marquee. Had a very nice meal and good wine. Service was prompt and very polite staff!

Just enjoyed the most delicious halibut for lunch at The Jolly Farmer! Never disappointed & really recommended!

No prior warning we would be made to sit outside in a tent. Not very warm. Shivered the entire meal. Service was good and the wood fired pizzas were tasty.

When bookings are made I feel it’s important to inform the customer they are going to be sitting outside. Luckily me and my fiancée are fit and healthy. My Dad who is in his eighties wouldn’t have been able to cope with the cold temperatures in the tent.

The food, when it finally came was quite good, although the fish and chips were overcooked and a bit dry. We booked for a friday lunch and the food took 55 mins to come, although we'd booked our table. We had to ask where our food was, and there was no real apology.

Lovely staff and delicious food!! It was quite quiet for a Saturday night, but we are in the middle of a pandemic after all. Would definitely return.

The Jolly do the best wood-fired pizzas ever! And such lovely staff! They also take the Covid19 precautions very seriously...I felt very safe! Thank you!

Fro warmer days a big garden with pods, lots of outdoor space.

Just had 1kg of super fresh squid at The Jolly Farmer to share between the two of us...it was amazing! So tender and cooked perfectly! Apparently they grill it in their wood fired oven, so impressed! All accompanied by a lovely bottle of Cote de Provence Rose...an absolutely perfect meal!

There was a very nice atmosphere in the garden with chilled music, torches and candles everywhere. Great food and very nice bar staff, so friendly and polite.

Had a really enjoyable Monday lunch. Simple meal, ciabatta filled with super fresh grilled vegetables, halloumi and roast beef. Shame they didn’t have the calamari on their specials board today as this is a personal favourite! Staff as always were professional and courteous. See you again soon

They make such an effort to make you feel so welcome at The Jolly Farmer. Very respectful staff and quick and professional service. We have never been disappointed with either the food or customer service that we have received. Great pizzas by the way! Many thanks and keep up the good work!

Having visited Bank Holiday Monday and the final day of the ETHO scheme, which was extremely busy, it was nice to visit this weekend when things had returned back to “normal”. There was a lovely atmosphere in the garden, busy but just the right amount of people. The food came out quickly and the salmon was perfect as was the mushroom stroganoff. The staff were so friendly and polite as always, it was a joy to return.

Disappointing - had heard great things. We booked a table for 4.00pm and arrived at 3.55pm only to be told told kitchen was closing in 2 minutes. We ordered 3 roast dinners without looking at menu. Chicken/Beef was hot but everything else lukewarm and tasted like 'warm ups'

It was lunchtime and there wasn't that busy. Service was good and their COVID regulations were very good.
