The Lazy Goat
Fried Goat Cheese
pistachio dust, vanilla honey drizzle
Braised Shank, Flat Bread, Cucumber Yogurt
Jamon Serrano, Shaved Manchego, Sherry Glace
Food was first rate, especially the Moroccan lamb, service was professional and friendly, and felt very safe.
The downstairs was beautifully done, and the view was beautiful. The service was good and the food was delicious. The dishes were a little small for the price, however. What we noticed the most however, was the noise. It was extremely loud. We were uncertain if it was due to no dividers between any of the tables, or the type of ceiling, or what, but it was difficult to hear the one person sitting across from me.
We stopped for brunch here on our way to Asheville, and it was a treat! The brussels were amazing and we enjoyed all of the entrees too.
Matthew was a terrific server- the heaters outside were a big hit. Food was excellent. Definitely be back!
We sat outside in the courtyard area and it was truly a beautiful spot. Food was amazing. Service was excellent! Loved it!
Amazing ambiance, super service but above all - great food!
We have really enjoyed the lazy goat. We have been 3 times in the last 3 months since we have first tried it. Our family really loves the fried goat cheese and charcuterie board as a family appetizer.
Every meal we have tried has been nothing short of delicious! It a calm quiet place, we do bring our kids - but if you have wild child’s I’d refrain from bringing them lol. It’s very chill.
Great service, beautiful patio seating, really interesting menu. Loved it!
Food was very good. Service was slow with minimal attention given to our table. This can be forgiven given the current COVID environment. Main problem was with the drinks. I ordered a Stone Sour and Mediterranean Mule. Both tasted like they had been topped off with water, with little to no favor. I always thought that The Lazy Goat delivered the a full dining experience but this night they missed the mark.
Service was exceptional!! Our waiter was very attentive and informative.
The ravioli with added shrimp was outstanding, and the service was top level
We had a great meal to celebrate my son's birthday.
Great food and friendly service with beautiful river view
We went on recommendation of an employee at Sobys. The food was great but service was unfortunately subpar.
I was frankly appalled at the service this evening. My steak was brought out without a steak knife, rendering it impossible to eat (a butter knife simply won’t do for a steak). This would not have been a problem, but the server did not check back in for more than half an hour. During that time we asked another passing server for a steak knife, which still was not forthcoming. When finally our server curled back to ask how everything was, I let him know I couldn’t say as I hadn’t had a bite of my meal yet. He looked horrified, and stated he would bring a knife. I let him know that the steak was now cold, and I would not pay for it. He did remove the steak, but no further effort was made to correct the situation (comp an app, comp a drink, have the manager check in, etc).
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about the opportunity. My sincerest apology that we did not resolve the matter before you left. There certainly was an opportunity for the server to have corrected the situation and he should have made me aware of the issue. I will be addressing this with my team. I would cherish the opportunity to speak with you personally, if you are open to it. You may reach me at 864-679-5299. Thank you, Ken Preston
Will return! The Brussels and goat cheese apps were fantastic.
I love the menu is unique and the food is delicious. Our server (Jessica) could not have been sweeter and we felt very comfortable eating inside even with the virus. The friend goat cheese balls are a must! The margherita pizza was also a great way to start our meal. I can't say enough good things.
Great place. Excellent food.
Birthday weekend. First time visit. Loved it!
The fried goat cheese was beyond outstanding and the beef dish was extraordinary. Waitress was new to the restaurant but delightful!
Excellent outdoor dining experience . Delicious food
Great spot for a casual or fancy dinner. Perfect location. Food and Service was great and I would love to go back and try some of their other fancy dishes.
Brussels sprouts were amazing. Best I have ever had.
Absolutely incredible. Carl hooked us up for sure. Great people, great service, great food, and great views. All around awesome!! 10/10 would recommend.
Goat cheese appetizer is one of the best appetizers I have ever had !!
Always enjoyable, date night or share with friends and family. Appreciate our window table, great service (Audrey!!) and cuisine (Lazy Paella, pizza, dipping trio and, of course, brussels sprouts. See you soon, LG!! Thank you.
The restaurant have a nice environment and the staff is very friendly. Based on my experience i think is very expensive in what they gave me, when I arrived back to my house I needed to prepare something else for me and the people I went through, the flavors are fine but the plate was more decoration than food, even the appetizer was something insignificant in a little pot, they could be better
Always an amazing time at Lazy Goat! The new manager is so accommodating even when it was packed! Food and service was excellent! We will continue to come back!
This is one of our favorite places downtown Greenville. We are never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. The price is also very reasonable considering the location and quality. Highly recommend.
We loved it! All the recommendations were 100% and I wanted to go back the next morning to do it all over again!
Great experience at the Lazy Goat. The food was delicious and the service was very good. Will definitely go back.
Took awhile to get seated on patio, but they were very nice about it! Food was very good. Patio is beautiful. Bring a sweater. Price is high due to location. Goat cheese was good but not what I expected (fried little balls instead of breaded chunk of creamy cheese). Roasted brussel sprouts are fantastic. Mediterranean fried chicken was good but only got dark pieces of chicken.
We went for lunch and ate outside. Service was ok...didn't seem like they were staffed for the level of patrons they had. We went on Saturday, Oct 3rd.
Lovely menu, lovely outdoor patio with beautiful views. Fried goat cheese is out of this world!
Fantastic food. Great service. Order was mistaken but they made up for it with dessert.
The Lazy Goat is my wife’s favorite restaurant in Greenville. We drive over at least once a month to dine there. They chefs and staff wonderfully accommodate her severe celiac disease. The menu is always fresh, local and delicious.
The Lazy Goat always delivers tasty food with fine ambience and a great view.
Sat by the window on the river. Watched the sun set on the town. Lots of people watching. No appetizers, shrimp agnolotti, grilled pork tenderloin with jasmine rice and corn, dessert was passion fruit creme brûlée. LG is quickly moving to the top of our list!
I enjoyed the Paella with a nice glass of Sangria. The meal made me feel like I was back in Spain!
I would highly recommend this place. The view of the river and the ambience is excellent!
I enjoy taking clients here with LetUsBuyYourHouseUpstate
The ambient, view and staff are great. The food was a little disappointing The paella was a mushy spicy rice with some chouriço,chicken and shrimp, not exactly what I know as a paella. The steak was salty and the duck was missing salt 😕. Was my friends and I first time at Lazy Goat.
