Everything was perfect. Our server, Ryan, was on point all night. Best service I’ve experienced in a while. Food was amazing and restaurant was very accommodating of my food sensitivities. Can’t wait to go back!!
The food and service was great. We went there for a special birthday dinner and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Ryan was a fantastic server and took his time walking us thru the menu, and making some great recommendations. We definitely visit again!
Outstanding everything!!! Amazing service and food. They made us feel right at home. Love love love!
Lively spot with great food and service. Only disappointment was the kitchen was out of seabass at 7 pm on a saturday.
We had reservations for 6pm on a Saturday night. There was no host for a couple minutes to greet/seat us and they were not busy so we were worried at first. Once we got seated, the service was amazing from start to finish! We tried the fried oysters and ricotta gnudi with pork. Both were delicious and good portions. I had a vodka drink with cucumber and it was so delicious. We also got the bone marrow bread pudding, which we will be back for this weekend when our friends come into town. My husband ordered the bone in pork chop; however, there was no bone and no sign of a bone missing. He specifically ordered it because it was bone it. It was still delicious, just disappointed about the missing bone. I got the triggerfish and was mot able to finish it due to the taste. It was just ok but had way too much lemon. I guess I don't like triggerfrish. We had a peanut butter and chocolate dessert that was huge and tastey as well. Although, we were slightly disappointed with our entrees, we had a great overall experience and will be back again, at least for the appetizers and bone marrow bread pudding!
Went for restaurant week and pleasantly surprised that they had vegetarian options available verses having to put together an entree from sides of other dishes. Only possible ways things could be better are that I found it to be a tad noisy and often the seating is so close that it is hard not to hear conversations at adjoining tables. I would rate the food and service as top notch.
One of the best meals I’ve had! JC in the kitchen was incredible and the service was top notch. Definitely one of Charleston’s best.
Everything was great!
We dined during restaurant week in January 2020 and enjoyed their 3 course with another vegetable instead of a dessert option. Duck confit was amazing ( I took the breast portion of the entree back to our hotel and enjoyed it for breakfast)
I would but I would tell them not to expect a meal like FIG , Ordinary, Halls or the Establishment. Our whole group argeed that it was good but not $180 for two good.
From the moment we walked into the restaurant, everyone was friendly and welcoming. Our server was excellent and knowledgeable. The ambience was very comfortable. We were there for New Year's Eve and although they had their regular menu (not a special NYE one) they served champagne to everyone in the restaurant at midnight. A very friendly and nice touch. Great place to start the New Year and new decade.
Small menu offerings. They were out of the only item we had wanted. Substituted and other and served the biscuit burned.
Food was very good, nice level of service. Restaurant is warm and inviting. A little oasis of calm for brunch in the midst of King St. chaos.
Zac is such a great waiter. He was so nice and pleasant to work with. I highly recommend!! Thanks Zac for running down King street to return the reading glasses I left on the table. 😀
Second time dining here and first time happy hour. Customer service is top notch.
A PERFECT PLACE TO CELEBRATE MY MON’S 75 BIRTHDAY!!
Your new waitress from Alabama was fantastic. Great food suggestion! The manager came by to check on us several times. She even had the chief make me a special birthday desert. That chief insisted that she being it to our table.
No denying the food was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and the service was outstanding. But, the personable nature of the staff, especially our waiter, made the entire evening one our most pleasurable dining experiences. The general manager was gracious and she went out of her way to ensure our Macintosh experience was memorable.
Food was wonderful - highly recommend the truffle fries. Drinks were amazing as well.
Amazing as always
Great food, atmosphere, and service.
It was a terrific introductory experience - food was excellent, service/bartender was helpful, responsive, & warm. Incredible value for quality of food & drink during happy hour timeframe
Ryan was absolutely delightful! The fish bologna...whoa. Don't miss it. Even the expo came out to see how everything was. Great experience on their heated patio on a Saturday night!
Michelle was amazing! She walked through the offerings with such ease and offered her advice on certain dishes. It was my husband’s 40th and they surprised him with a dessert at the end of dinner. We had so many wonderful dishes. The rabbit, gnudi and Bone Marrow Bread pudding were so delicious.
We enjoyed dinner on Thanksgiving evening with our family and had a wonderful experience! The ambiance, service and food were all fantastic!
We had our family Thanksgiving and it was fabulous! We will definitely come back and enjoy many more meals!!
Farm to table menu. Service and food top notch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Great service great food great staff really nice people
It was so good! Our waiter was awesome, food was great. Would definitely go back. Their truffle fries were off the charts!!
The Macintosh was the best place we ate while in Charleston. Drew was an outstanding waiter, who found out it was our anniversary and started us off with a glass of champagne. His recommendations helped us pick out the Ricotta Gnudi for our starter, which was unbelievable. The manager Katie sat down with us and spent some time getting to know us and answering menu questions. It was a great night! The hanger steak and fish were delicious.
The food was marvellous. The Mac Attack on the brunch menu is a must-try. For the fries, I recommend sharing because it is huge. The service was great as well. Highly recommended.
Great food and service
Just fabulous! Wonderful food, great atmosphere staff is nice pleasant helpful charming and attentive. Best meal ever!
Always a favorite stop when we're in town!!
Great meal! High quality ingredients cooked perfectly. A farm to table restaurant with several modern, innovative dishes. Service was professional, well paced, and knowledgeable (a good indicator of a well run establishment). Menu is updated daily. Easily a top pick restaurant in Charleston
The food and service were outstanding. Cannot wait to return.
Wonderful service and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, the food is nothing special.
Waited hour 1/2 to get our food came out cold. One salad option. One and done
The service was the worst part. I made the reservation, and they seat us in the worst place, next to the kitchen, they had better tables available. A couple next to us when we got into the restaurant got better seating and they didn't have a reservation. They forgot the greens that come with my dish. But the food was ok. I think in general the staff need more training in service.
With so many great restaurants in Charleston I think the MacIntosh is underated. Perfect portion sizing, quality over quantity, with amazing flavors. Even my salad was off the charts.
Great food only exceeded by the service!
Savannah, our waitress, was superb.
Knew the food, made great recommendations and surprised my wife with a birthday cake slice.
Farm to table is not just given lip service as food is fresh and imaginatively prepared.
We will be baaack!
