The Pirates' House
She Crab Soup
A Delicious Blend of Crabmeat, Sherry and Cream. A Savannah Tradition
Shrimp and Grits
Excellent cocktails and food. Tom was so helpful. The peach cobbler a la mode is delicious. What a fantastic historical building and the stories that go with it
The Pirates House is our Favorite Restaurant in Savannah! This year, the menu had changed. I wasn’t thrilled with the new selections- still a great experience.
Food was good but not as good as other times I’ve been there.
The restaurant was cooler than was comfortable. Parking was excellent and didn’t have to pay extra
Excellent food, friendly people, cool atmosphere with a flavor of spooky. If your in Savannah, a must visit.
Historic setting with great stories from Terry ...Mango chili Glazed Salmon was excellent ... A bit dark, but that kinda adds to the ambiance!
We went for Sunday buffet with our 2 kids and we loved it! I live in GA and the Southern specialties were authentic and delicious. AMAZING biscuits and fried chicken. Of course the buildings are awesome. We dined in the oldest part....so cool!
The best food and service I've had in a very long time. Very fast friendly service. I highly recommend .
Annual getaway to Savannah - never a discussion on where to have dinner!!
This historic restaurant is great, the dinners are awesome. The history of the restaurant is fascinating and highly recommend looking it up before you go there. This isn't a Disney reproduction, this a real establishment where Pirates frequented. Rum was flowing from barrels here. Try out the Dark and Stormy Drink! Rum based of course.
We were a party of 6. the food was in my opinion, average and bland. I think I'm the only one in my group that felt that way. I had shrimp poboy. The fries were excellent and the service was pretty good. There was a buffet that looked and smelled phenomenal but we just ordered from the menu. I visit Savannah often and I will go back to The Pirate House for sure. The history around you is worth it if nothing else.
Do yourself a favor and get the honey pecan crusted fried chicken! You won't regret it! Also, our server was amazing and so nice. 10/10 would definitely recommend!
The food and service were amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great food with a unique atmosphere. I will be back again!
For my husband’s birthday I surprised him with a lunch here. Ami and Josh made sure it went off without a hitch. The food was delicious as usual. We ordered the buffet which required you to wear your mask and gloves when getting your food. There was also ample distance between our table and the next. Definitely love when we can come here for the buffet because it is by hands down the best buffet in town and the value is great.
Food was great.Front desk could have been nicer, but waiter was good.Could have used more pirate&history themed decor
While our food was good, the shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Was not our best meal in Savannah.
The food was average. Based on how quick the food came out it is precooked ans reheated which you can tell. The fried chicken with pecan sauce over sweet. The green beans were cold. The history of the place is interesting thats about it.
Top notch food! Great and energetic service! Everything was perfect.
The food was very tasty. The service was warm. It was my first dining experience in Savannah and really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it!
Food was good. Ambiance in the historic building was really cool! Service was really good and the food came out really fast. Which was great cause we had three young children with us. Overall I would highly recommend this historical landmark.
Oldest building in Savannah. Buffet had so much to offer for a very good price. Wait staff was polite. Was sat, with reservation, instantly.
Atmosphere was fantastic, food was delicious, but a little expensive.
Good service and great food. Quick service but not rushed. Fair prices like other restaurants we visited in the area. Nice easy listening music in the background and not the usual loud music you hear in most restaurants there days.
Server Terry was great. Temp was a little stuffy, but we managed.
Food was good portions, service was good, experience was good for what was expected. Not for slim budgets, equal food for less money at beachside restaurants.
Meal came out cold, they put it in microwave to reheat.
Honey pecan chicken was delicious. Really enjoyed the ambiance.
Very cool place to relax and eat a great
Meal. The service was fantastic as well.
For being an establishment based on a historical perspective, they really didn't show it. Food was really good and our waitress was great.
My wife and I ate here for lunch on our first trip to Savannah. The restaurant itself was pretty cool. The food was absolutely delicious! My wife ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, and was thoroughly impressed with the presentation as well as the mouth water bursts of flavor in every bite!!! I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich, and it was quite delectable as well. Highly recommend to any and all visitors to the Savannah area!!!
Came here for lunch a Saturday on our honeymoon. Amazing fried green tomatoes!!!! Pretty cool place but wanted to see more of the restaurant and the historic place and only heard about the tour when we had already eaten and didn’t get any further info about it. We were also not made aware of the lunch buffet by our hostess or server but heard about it from the servers going around yelling about last call. Maybe would’ve liked to check the buffet out if we would’ve known. Our server was friendly and prompt but not overly friendly (something I really appreciate as I wanted to spend time talking to my husband). I’d been here about 12 years ago and had a more fun-filled experience but I’ll give them a bit of a pass on the atmosphere end enthusiasm as COVID had put a bit of a damper on some of these experiences. Would definitely recommend for lunch but prices for dinner seemed a bit much for what it is. Overall a good lunch experience. Definitely recommend.
Shrip and Grits a must have. Get the fried green tomatoes also
The food was very good, however, it was a little overpriced.
Great Service by Sybil. Fried shrimp were delicious especially she crab soup.
Cool place to eat! Lots of history! Great burgers if you are not into shrimp.
They have the best she crab soup anywhere and the fried chicken is amazing. The service the night we visited wasn't great. Had to ask for things more then once and dessert was wrong and never got the coffee we ordered.
The shrimp was the best I have ever had. My wife had the chicken and it was great. Our waitress made our evening great. I highly recommend the Pirates House for a great meal.
My husband and I had a wonderful date night and our waitress (Abby) was wonderful. The food was delicious.
The food was good. The server was somewhat inattentive and misinformed one of our party about a menu item. The biscuits were amazing.
