The Pottery Restaurant
Great spot @ Blue. Not in the village so it’s a bit less busy than some other options (located at the Blue Mountain Inn). We had a lovely table right beside the fireplace. Friendly staff, and delicious meal. Also, they took extra care to accommodate an allergy, which was greatly appreciated!
Went there for my hubby’s 50th birthday and they decorated the table and prepared a special dessert for him. We really appreciated the friendly service and good food. It’s our favourite restaurant in Blue Mountain!
The service was extremely friendly and prompt. The atmosphere and food were ok but there are better options in the main village. I would bring a larger group (10+) here though just because of the service and proximity to the pub with live music right next door in the building.
We were a bachelorette party of 8, we were seated at a large table off to a private area which we greatly appreciated given we made the reservation last minute. They also decorated the table for us too! Our server was lovely, forget her name but she was Irish. She appeared to be one of the only servers working, she was very busy, but she did the best given the circumstances. It did take way too long to get our bills (20+ minutes, then we found an error) and took an additional 10 minutes to have them corrected.
Finally 2 girls who had the scallops were sick with food poi’s ending a few hours later. Disappointing for a bachelorette weekend.
Food was great. Our server was fantastic, and set us up for a great anniversary date night.
- both our meals were cold and did not taste good
- setting was great
Great service and great food! Would definitely recommend!
I’ve eaten dinner at The Pottery several times when visiting Blue Mountain. The food is surprisingly refined and consistently freshly prepared and flavourful. Prices are fair for a resort setting, and sometimes they have special promos for overnight guests. Highly recommended!
The food was outstanding. Our server, Michelle, was absolutely wonderful. Highly recommend.
Great service food was good Only issue Primerib could only be ordered medium or higher No option for rare or medium rare The restaurant was very quiet only 2 other tables They do an awesome breakfast as well Love this place
The bread was delicious but the meals were lacking. Kids burgers were a good size.
The lamb shank was very good. Our server was friendly and fun. If you like dessert, try the baked cheesecake. Yum!
While the food and service was great the ambience needs some work. This is an over-worked ski lodge and needs some serious updating for the restaurant.
Michelle was a very pleasant and professional waitress. We will return for sure.
From the food to the service. Exceptional.
While we enjoyed being seated by the fireplace that was about the only good thing about our experience. Food came out cold (fish tacos) with the tiniest bowl of side soup you’ve ever seen. $17 for 2 small dry tortillas, wilted iceberg, tiny pieces of salmon and salsa (the only decent ingredient) is highway robbery. Plus $3.25 for filter coffee! When their cappuccinos are $4.25, makes no sense. Server was pleasant and friendly. Decor is very dated and worn. Sadly we won’t be back, had hoped to like this place as we live nearby.
It took a long time to get our food. But otherwise good dinner
Staff were amazing and super helpful at accommodating our party. Food was really good and was all good value
The restaurant and meal was fantastic. There was a little mishap and it was dealt with incredibly and i would say it proved even more why its so good.
Waitress was also fabulous. Kids also loved it.
Christmas Eve dinner with the family, everything was perfect!
It was excellent!!!
Went just for the lamb. Sat down and was told there was no more lamb. With a limited menu there really wasn’t much else to choose from. I settled in and decided to get the pork. We waited must have been over an hour for the food. Which the food was cold when arrived for everyone at my table. Wine was fantastic though. Too bad the food didn’t arrive in time to enjoy with it. We finished a whole bottle slowly and the food still didn’t arrive. Waitress kept telling us it will be right out. 3 loaves of bread later it finally came out. Would not recommend this place to anyone who enjoys eating a nice meal with great company. It was my moms birthday and this was the worst experience.
Been to The Pottery a few times over the years. Always enjoyed the food but tonight we were really wowed by it. Tje food was fresh and flavorful. The pretzel bread pudding was amazing. Service was warm and friendly too.
Amazing food and friendly service
While it was a very busy night, the staff handled everything very well. It was quite enjoyable.
My experience was so lovely at The Pottery Restaurant. Our waitress was so kind and gave us an experience we will never forget. The ambience was great and the food was delicious. Will definitely come back!
The food was amazing and it was noted that it was our anniversary. The server three confetti on our table in celebration!! Nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
Food was excellent, it was a very slow night, just another table was dining the same time as us. However the server did not rush us, we had cocktails, three course meal and a bottle of wine. Music was great, seating was comfortable, just what I was looking for with easy indoor access from the hotel. (Blue Mountain Inn)
We had the breakfast buffet. There was lots of food and variety. Service was quick and got all 10 of us out for your 9 am meeting.
The restaurant was not very busy and was consequently quite quiet. There was a good breakfast buffet as well as a number of good menu options.
Girls getaway to blue mountain and after reading many online reviews chose this gem! From the hot delicious bread with homemade garlic oil to start the me to the Appetizers , it was a good beginning!
Duck was cooked wonderfully, chicken was plump and flavorful!
The most amazing and I’m still dreaming about it - phyllo wrapped cheesecake with apples and caramel sauce !! Just drooling thinking about this!!!
I told my friend i would drive all the way back there JUST for the dessert ! (And I’m not a huge cheesecake fan normally )
All in all - fantastic dinner - thank you for making my birthday extra special !!!
Incredible experience! Table was decorated for our anniversary, and the food was beyond delicious!
Had a midweek date night here. Seated next to the fire which my wife enjoyed very much. The server ( Michelle) was very pleasant throughout our meal. Provided personal suggestions on items, checked on us appropriately and was aware we were not in a rush and allowed us time to enjoy our meal and conversation. The food was well presented, enjoyable seasonal dishes and good portions. Excellent value for our evening.
We enjoyed our evening on October 12th. The service was good and we enjoy being seated in front of the fireplace. The 3 course meal was also good and excellent value. We began with a delicious squash soup. This was followed by turkey roll, potatoes, and carrots. I had hoped it would be sliced turkey breast and stuffing. But it was fine and tasty. A small pumpkin tart finished out the meal. It was all more than satisfactory. We enjoyed our holiday dinner very much.
Went for a Thanksgiving dinner while staying at Blue Mountain. Great service, delicious food and a very pleasant ambiance
Our dinner was absolutely amazing and we also had breakfast at the buffet the next morning. The food for the buffet was great also!! Would highly recommend this restaurant.
The server is excellent and she is a very friendly lady, the quality of food is excellent. And the value is great of 3 courses menu.
Best attentive server. Table of 8 we all got our dishes on time. Two had the pork special. I'd recommend the seafood linguine was in light cream sauce. Prime rib was tasty. Ceasar salad was a bit odd. Head of lettuce cut in half with dressing drizzled over. Had to cut it and mix it up.
A bachelorette dinner was held at the restaurant and a complimentary dessert was charged towards the bride's bill, the refund was made but throughout the night the staff friendly but forgetful and disorganized. I ordered the 60z AAA steak. The beef smelt odd and arrived on my plate overcooked. I will not be visiting this restaurant again.
Dawn was positively delightful and took excellent care of us! While it was a quiet evening, we had a wonderful pace to our meal. One of the highlights was an opportunity to have a Coffin Ridge wine as we missed the winery on our exploration of the area! The dessert we shared; a baked phillo-wrapped cheesecake was the standout of the evening.
Great service, good food, decent value. Pre fix menu is the best deal in the village!
