The Pressroom Restaurant
Food and service were top-notch. Seating is a little close but not unmanageable. Will definitely visit again.
Food was excellent and the atmosphere really nice love it
Fantastic food, great service and fabulous atmosphere.
The new Fall menu is excellent. Loved the roasted squash starter plate, fresh, cooked just right and presentation top notch. Loved to see That Pressroom is sourcing locally. Nice change from previous menu, but still has some old favorites.
My wife and I along with friends went to the pressroom on Sunday night for dinner before going to the Fulton theater ahd I have to say the experience was awful. Lexi was our waitress and she did a horrible job of taking care of us. She said she had a large table that wouldn't let he go so we got no service from her. She also had to serve the owners table which was more important than a paying customer so another reason for no service. We ordered drinks that took 15 minutes to be delivered. (You have to realize that the place wasn't busy being a Sunday night.) She didn't even bring us our dinners asking another server to deliver it and then never came to see if we were happy with our meals. When she finally came to our table I said we were very unhappy with her service and she just walked away without responding. She is one of the rudest servers I have ever had at what you think is a higher quality restaurant. I still left her a 20% tip since I always have felt that a waitress job is a tough one and maybe she was having a bad day.
My wife ordered the lamb and it was very good. Our good friend ordered the beef ribs over grits. There was a tiny bit of ribs with a large bowl of grits. Not what you expect for $25.
I was hoping to have the bouillabaisse which I have had numerous times there but it was taken off the menu. Lexi said the mussels and kielbasa was a good replacement dish so I ordered it. I can definitely tell you it was not good. I got about a dozen mussels and 4 of them weren't open so they were inedible. The kielbasa pieces were ok and plentiful but I was looking for seafood tonight. I didn't eat much. Our other friend got the steak and it was very good. I'd think the chef would like to have more than half their customers enjoy their meals.
There are so many wonderful restaurants in Lancaster I can definitely say that the Pressroom will not be on our dining list in the future.
The Bloody Mary bar was amazing. The food and staff were top notch.
I went here on a Saturday night for a date and was definitely glad that we had a reservation. We arrived a few minutes early but were able to be sat very quickly, the restaurant was full but not uncomfortably so. Our service was attentive although the drinks took a very long time to arrive. I can understand that the bar was a little overwhelmed though, they had a large crowd sat at the bar and standing there drinking while I assume they were waiting for a table.
Everything we had to eat and drink was excellent. We started with the pan sauteed scallop appetizer, I had the steak frites, and my date had the lobster buccatini. Everything was prepared correctly and presented beautifully. We would definitely come back.
Wonderful evening getting together with old friends. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal.
Very nice atmosphere. Our server was sweet and attentive. My son ordered the Duck Two ways. He ate it all but didn't rave. I ordered burger well. It was Medium and my salad had a weird taste.
Every time I go here, the food is incredible and the atmosphere is so much fun. They also have great cocktails!
We were there for a luncheon celebration of my husband’s birthday. The food and service were excellent and the ambiance was relaxing.
Great food and service as usual
The Bartending is a bit suspect
The Pressroom Restaurant was a perfect place for our anniversary celebration. Our server, Jason, was very knowledgeable about the menu and attentive (without being overbearing). The Duck Two-Ways with kimchi fried rice and ginger-orange glaze was full of flavors. We are not big dessert lovers but ordered the cremebrulee to share and the most surprising part (pleasantly) was the coconut macaroons.
Our reservation was a bit early (6 PM) so we didn't realize it until later in the evening that there is a jam session in the front part of the restaurant in the evening. We are likely to return soon to enjoy the food and the music.
Great service.and food
Food was great, server was very kind. Will be returning in the future!
Needs a starter menu. Cheese tray, etc. something... the food was very good!
Nice place. Will go again
The Pressroom was an excellent choice!!! My favorites of the night included the pan seared scallops and the buttermilk chocolate cake were fantastic! Our server Morgan was so awesome! He was insightful and friendly. We will definitely be back again! Thank you...
Wonderful atmosphere and food. Our server had excellent food suggestions and was attentive.
My only complaint would be that I tried to change our reservation to add one person a few days before we went for dinner, and the restaurant could be accommodate our request. When we actually went for dinner — it definitely seemed like there was room for one more at our table and the restaurant was not swamped. This was disappointing for us.
Our server, Barbara, was fantastic. She made suggestions and was attentive without being intrusive.
Our meal was delicious. We shared multiple small plates. Each was better than the last! You must try the tuna carpaccio and the wings cannot be beat. The burgers are the best...heavenly! I can’t comment on dessert because we didn’t have room...maybe next time!
The food was very good but the new menu was too limited in selection. More steak or other beef options are needed.
Great selection of craft food and drink. Our server, Morgan, was very attentive and informed about the offerings. Always our go to place when in Lancaster attending the Fulton Theatre which is conveniently located right around the corner.
Service was amazing, food was delicious and ambiance was spectacular! Would absolutely go back. Perfect for a casual date night or special occasion!
My husband and I love going to the press room because it’s quiet the food is great the prices are moderate and I am this is a great place to eat Sunday brunch
I felt the last two times I was there that the portions are very small for the price.
The service was wonderful from the hostess to the waiters. All were kind and courteous. We asked for special table for a birthday and they let us see if it was adequate before choosing. It was a small thing but nice because you usually have to ask. The food was wonderful!! So flavorful and definitely worth it! We had two of the main large plates and enjoyed them. Great service awesome food. We’ll go back.
Great appetizer special. The entire meal was very good as was the service.
Not many restaurants open on Sunday night in Lancaster, but the Pressroom is. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and reasonable priced. We had a very nice waitress. It was a little on the noisy side, but nicely decorated. Portions were a nice size.
Our guests were very happy with the food. Unfortunately my pizza was extremely salty. There was too much salami. That could be improved
Great food-Great service! Great food selection from burgers/pizza to duck & fine wine!
Service was not that attentive. It was a Saturday evening and we made a reservation yet they wanted to give a small table near the bar and service station. We had to ask for a different table. The waitress was not very friendly and service was just ok. We have been here many times and this was the first time I have rated it so low.
Restaurant was so very accommodating to our group of 7
We had a family gathering and they let us catch up and enjoy each other’s company and conversation
Service was great
The restaurant inside is very comfortable, but you can also eat outside in their courtyard which is very nice & relaxing with a waterfall wall. The food was very good, but the chocolate cake was to die for! Great service, friendly & efficient. Free parking is an added bonus.
Great restaurant with good service, quality is consistent and okay
Great service!!! Food was delicious. Great cocktails as well
Lamb tenderloin was excellent as was the crepe pie.
We went to Pressroom and they were having a music event which was fine but very noisy. I think they should have told us when the reservation was made. We ordered and service was timely. However, I ordered a burger medium rare and it came well done. Another person at the table ordered chicken and got a Pizza that was not quickly changed out, but delayed to prepare it. Just not whaat I expected
Fantastic food, stellar service. Can't go wrong!
We had a delightful evening at The Pressroom. Our server, Morgan, was awesome. He had knowledge of the building, the menu and libations.
Morgan is a great ambassador for your brand.
Robert and Susan Warren
We four friends met for dinner before theater.. Server was efficient and friendly. Only surprise was that she brought single check w/o asking four older ladies if we preferred individual checks (which, of course, we did) instead of one single check. Mushroom soup and leg of lamb were excellent. Scallops were tasty but over-sauced. And market salad required pulling out wilted sprigs of mesclun before eating. Ice cream and sorbets...outstanding! We appreciate the free parking in the adjoining garage when dining at The Pressroom. We frequent this restaurant during theater season with regularity—it’s a lively, upscale eatery.
Dinner before theater. Waiter was attentive and made sure we were done in time and was responsive to our requests
