The Rajdoot Indian Restaurant
Hi. Too busy downstairs, People rammed in, waiters constantly banging the back of my chair. After my starter the waiter collected the plates and put the dirty cutlery back on the clean table cloth for me to use for my main course. When the waiter came to collect the table cloth after the main course he threw another dirty table cloth in the middle of the table and then proceeded to remove ours and wrap it around it. We had booked through open table for 8.30. When we arrived they said we didn't have a reservation. I showed them our booking. I then got an email from open table to ask why we hadn't turned up. We paid at 9.30 - exactly one hour at the table, and were finishing our drinks when we were asked to move on as people were waiting. all in all an omni-shambles. The foods good but doesn't mean we will be going here again.
Last minute booking after another booking fell through. Just your average Indian restaurant. Standard fair, nothing outstanding. It's very tight downstairs. Service was good. Not exactly good value. Nothing particularly bad about the place but nothing particularly good either.
The service was slow - including taking our orders- even though the restaurant had asked us to come early.
The food was good and well priced.
Great Food, great service, place is veru small and tight hard to go to wc. I would go again
The service was really special, attentive, knowledgable, happy restaurant staff. The menu had some different and interesting options. The food was all made from great quality ingredients and had incredible flavours. The atmosphere in the restaurant was excellent. I would fully recommend if you enjoy Indian food try this place.
A great local Indian restaurant which we will most certainly visit again
Great food! Tables quite cramped / too close together.
Very disappointed. They called 40 mins before our booking to say they could only seat us outside, so we cancelled. They then phoned back to say they could seat us after all. We arrived on time and they only had a table of 6 instead of 8. 2 of our party had to stand until they made another two seats available. When they sorted this, 10/15 minutes later, we ordered. Some of our meals didn’t arrive and food was disappointing when it did arrive. It was very busy downstairs and we had to shout to have conversatsions. They overcharged us at the end and the bill was wrong.
The food was good however we felt really rushed to get out of the restaurant (it was 10pm).
The waiter removed the table cloth while we were still at the table finishing our drinks, leaving a stained table cloth that was underneath. Also the plates were removed very fast although some were not completely empty. Overall felt the staff was a bit rude and rushed even though they waved at us from the street to get us in the restaurant.
Great food , speedy service, good location, highly recommended
Food was OK. Seated at an outdoor table. The constant hawking of customers on the sidewalk was really annoying and unnecessary and made it difficult to carry on a conversation with my friend. The coming and going of the Deliveroo scooters was also unpleasant. It literally felt like we were eating on the street. I also think our quite extended wait for food was a result of delivery orders being prioritized over seated customers.
The staff were charming and exceptionally helpful. The food was absolutely amazing - slightly out of the way location wise but well worth it
Family business that treated us like family. Loved the food and the outdoor seating in a quiet neighborhood. Would go there again!
A great curry house - old school
Dining downstairs uncomfortable. It is too cramped to enjoy your meal if you are seated in chairs.
Wonderful Indian, subtle flavours, the real thing. Would highly recommend. Staff a little overly nice / PR conscious, but nothing too bad. Would never walk in from the appearance, but it has become my go-to Indian in London.
Food and service were great. Also very good value. Will definitely come back
Fabulous Indian, best I’ve had in London so far. Sophisticated curries with depth and range of taste. Good prices, and a nice staff (if a bit pushy with their self promotion - I would tone it down if I were them!!) Either way, a hidden gem.
Loved this restaurant! The food, the service were fabulous! Authentic Indian food anyone will e joy! Service was great and there was no rush to get you out! Small and intimate with upstairs and downstairs dining areas. No matter where you are seated relax and enjoy the food and ambiance
One of the servers were rude!
Had a great meal here with a client of mine. The food was fantastic full of flavours. The service was great especially Ali who was very attentive.
I would recommend the restaurant and I would definitely return again.
After reading several reviews on Open Table we decided to try The Rajdoot. We were delighted we did. We were greeted warmly and seated right away. The food was amazing and the service, top notch. We could tell this was a neighbourhood and local favourite by the steady stream of happy and and known customers that were warmly greeted and seated for their own delicious dining experience at this gem. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend The Rajdoot to anyone looking for a great meal.
We sat upstairs and it is very tight for space. The service was incredibly quick, no sooner had the poppadoms appeared then the starter arrived and as my wife finished her last mouthful, then the mains were in front of us - which is a shame as the food was excellent and very tasty and the staff are extremely friendly - they are just a little too keen and need to chill a little.
Wonderful food and service! Great location as well. Highly recommend!!
Had an amazing dinner at The Radjoot. The food and service were incredible. Always someone asking if we needed anything. Food was well prepared and brought out quickly. Highly recommended.
Loved this restaurant. Had friends visiting London from Seattle who wanted to try authentic Indian and chose this at random off the internet but so lucky. Food and service were all spot on and everyone loved it.
Lovely food. Waiters where amazing, very friend the service. Family ran business, all food cooked from scratch so able to Tailor your food to how spicy/ mild you want it.
Would definitely go again!
The food was excellent! Can't remember the last time I enjoyed diner this much. Very friendly staff.
Very good Indian food, good service. Will definitely go again
Always good food and nice staff. Recommended. Best indian food in London
Best Indian food we've had for a long time. Excellent service and the staff was so friendly. Will definitely come back!
Delicious food and a great value. We chose dinner for two and it was fabulous.
Great evening out once more. Food & service both 👌🏽
Food was delicious and seemed authentic. Unfortunately the tables are too packed and the stuff was disorganized.
Good food. Attentive service. Aim to please. Didn’t feel rushed.
Very good Indian restaurant. The food was great and the staff was very efficient and willing to help.
We've been going to The Radjoot on our visits to London for several years. We always look forward to the warm welcome, amazing food, and great service. This is a real neighborhood gem--family run for many years. Easily the best Indian food we've had.
Very nice service, excellent food, good size portions, good location.
Very enjoyable lunch with a range of different spices across the various dishes we ordered. Friendly service, too.
It is worst hotel ever i had in UK...not worth for price abd food is not tasty..
