Excellent food and service, the best seafood around!!

First time visit and I know there will be many more. Food, service at bar and table, really everything was awesome.

I ordered the trio. Unfortunately the vegetables tasted like they were previously frozen. The shrimp were good, the scallops were chewy snd the stuffed flounder was good. Nothing was outstanding which was surprising as I enjoy going to the Shrimp Box. I guess they had an off day.

Place was packed on this first Sunday of the season. Had a 5:30 reservation for a window booth & had to wait 20min- walk-ins were told the wait time was 40min. The wait staff was hustling, yet still pleasant. We always go for the Sunset Dinner, & the broiled scallops were delicious and perfectly cooked. The absolute best place for scallops! Only disappointment was running out of carrot cake!

Food and service were excellent, Dolores went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed or wanted, great evening

We went for the Sunset menu on a Friday night. The choices were numerous. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was delicious. Two of us had the honey Salmon. It was excellent. The vegetables were also very good. My husband had stuffed shrimp which he liked very much and my friend’s husband had a seafood trio which he wolfed down I no time.
The meal included dessert and coffee as well as salad bar and was an excellent value.
Service was very good. We will be back soon.

Just love the Shrimp Box....back for another wonderful season. Had dinner there last evening, as good as ever! Food and service were wonderful! A must go to place for the summer, you won’t be disappointed!!

Excellent seafood with many choices. Sunset menu offers so many options and a price that is hard to find anywhere else. View of the water is the perfect setting for a seafood dinner at the Jersey Shore.

Shrimp Box is one of our favorite restaurants for several reasons. It has amazing views, great service, and delicious food. Sadly, it will close for 2 months a couple of weeks (for the winter season, as it does every year). We had to get in one more time before it closed. It is kind of wonderful coming here off-season, as there is virtually no wait. The food is always fresh, and the salad bar is the best! The service is professional and friendly. I asked for a drink they don't normally make, but they made it perfectly (a Hot Toddy). Go soon, or wait till the spring.

Another terrific meal, plenty of seafood choices plus salad bar and a sunset.

First time trying this place. It was our anniversary. The staff was friendly and the place was beautiful. We ordered drinks and i ordered the Prosecco which was given to me in a miniature bottle but it was barely cold. We ordered an appetizer and it was Eh. My husband got the filet mignon as his meal & i got the surf and turf which came with the filet & lobster tail. The steak had zero seasoning and was dry, vegetables seemed like the were out of a bag and super mushy. And the lobster tail was just not right, half way through eating it i actually felt like i couldnt swallow it because it didn’t awful. I said i would give this place 1 more chance but i wasn’t a fan at all.

I have been there many times. I love the summer sitting out side. The winter is great too. Food has always been good and I will be back.

One of my favorite restaurants for seafood. The service is exceptional and the food is fabulous.

We had a wonderful dining experience at The Shrimp Box. It was a special occasion and we wanted to talk over a glass of wine before ordering. Our Server was most accommodating and allowed us to dine at our leisure. Before we knew it, we were the only ones left, but the Server never hurried us or announced closing. She was absolutely terrific throughout. The food (twin lobster tails for both) was perfectly cooked and served hot. The Salad Bar could have had a few more items, but everything was fresh and crisp. The Carrot Salad was especially good.
We had a great time and are looking forward to returning. Kudos to our excellent Sever and the entire team at The Shrimp Box.

I've been here many times. They have an excellent seafood selection. I am not a seafood enthusiast, yet there is always something delicious for me on the menu. We visited during restaurant week and they had a wonderful 3 course varierty to choose from. Since we arrived early, several people from our group chose from the sunset menu, which also included soup or salad bar and dessert. Our waitress was fantastic; we were there for almost 2 hours. There was no rush to get us out.

My boyfriend has never been to The Shrimp Box. I surprised him and made reservations and reserved a table with the water view. He loved it the atmosphere was great, intergenic, our waitress Blake was amazing, great personality, attitude, attentive, we never had to wait for or want anything. Bring each course was timed perfectly. I don't know who enjoyed it more my boyfriend or myself.

This restaurant serves a good selection of choices that are well prepared and well presented. The service is always excellent and the overall experience is always terrific. I have enjoyed dining there and will continue to do so in the future.
I congratulate the management on having an excellent facility with a staff that has been well trained.

Unbelievable food the sunset dinner is the only way to go

The Shrimp Box was recommended by a co-worker. We went there for lunch. We were very pleased with our experience there. Great food and service. My husband had the crab cake sandwich, i had the flounder. Both were very tasty. Fries were perfectly done, coleslaw was creamy and delicious! We had a table by the window looking out on the water. It couldn't have been a better day!!

Service was prompt and efficient. Waitress was very informative, professional and checked on us often enough without being intrusive at all. Food was very good and presentation was quite good. Excellent salad bar. Overall a very good value.

The Shrimp Box is my favorite restaurant! The crab cakes are beyond all others and the salad bar is fabulous!

Very busy waterfront restaurant. Good value with salad bar included in meal. Average food, very loud dining room. Server was excellent as she had many tables to handle and did so very well.

WTtess was alittle dud and quick to leave. Never asked if we wanted desert on our end of table. Just have us a bill

Overall this restaurant was such great place to dine. Our server Delores was amazing. I highly recommend them and we will be back soon.

outstanding food, service, but the noise level was very unacceptable. We had to scream at each person across the table from us to be heard. Asked for the furtherest black table in the most rear. Was 2 tables from that in the main dining room. Much too noisy to enjoy our other patrons. Next time I will insist on the most realest table next to the outer wall.

Love that the Shrimp Box is on Open Table, we love the place but there is always a wait. Now I can make reservations and go even on the weekends. Yeah!

Let me start by saying that the bartenders were awesome. Our server was good, but the rest was iffy. Food was mediocre. Soup and bread was probably the only decent part of the meal. Shrimp cocktail still had the vein running through it. Sweet potato and veggies were mushy. Filet mignon wasn’t really seasoned and was dry. Overall experience for my moms birthday wasn’t that great. Also, my boyfriend and I stayed at the end till close for drinks at the bar to watch the yankee game and every server and cook from the kitchen was drinking on the floor. This was while customers were still in the restaurant. They were sitting at bar, drinking and eating dinner. From drinking on the floor, and counting tips out in the open... It wasn’t a very professional atmosphere. First and last visit to the shrimp box.

Once was our go to place for good seafood. Has gotten very commercial and cold at times. Food is okay and the service is good if you get the right waitress.
This was a birthday celebration but it seemed like just an ordinary dinner next to the wait staff trays for dirty dishes.

The view was wonderful, the food was served hot and was delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful. We definitely will return.
