   Treating wife on Mother’s Day, busy but still great service start to finish, food was delicious, pate starters and lamb for mains , all beautifully cooked and presented. Definitely go again

   The food was good. It's a shame no one told us to order at the bar. We sat waiting for a member of staff and did feel ignored which was a shame. It was very busy though. Just a point to let people know.

   It was our 49th wedding anniversary we decided to go the Swan as we had been about 6 years ago and enjoyed the food. The menu was a little limited but I like sticky duck with salad and it was on your menu.. I personally do not like beefburgers or pizza or mashed potatoes, but as long as there was a dish I liked I was happy. The starter was not bad, prawns but someone went a little mad with garlic and is not subtle when adding spice to a meal. My main course the duck was awful it smelt odd and the duck was tough so I sent it back.I ended up with chips with cheese. Not my idea of a great night out.I do not want any free vouchers as I do not wish to repeat a bad experience and my anniversary is over anyway. I hope this helps. Get a new chef and look at the menu would be my advice. Mrs Lynda Wilkins.

   Overall OK, but not the best. Food wasn’t the best and pretty expensive for not great quality. The staff were all lovely and accommodating for when we had to send back a burger for still ‘mooing’. Probably wouldn’t rush to go back unfortunately.

    There needs to be clarification about where to order food! Drinks order was table service therefore we presumed that food would be the same. After a lengthy wait we eventually were served at the table.

    The Swan was very busy when we visited. Our drinks came quite quickly, it take a while for someone to come and get our order. Our food arrived piping hot, well presented and of ample proportions. Will definitely visit again.

    Enjoyed the goats cheese & bacon salad with side of chips. Friend enjoyed generous steak ciabatta. Nothing not to like. Presentation attractive. This is has always been a reliably good spot for lunch / dinner. Staff friendly & professional. Ambience & decor perfect.

    Food was great. It was a 50th bday celebration and they allowed us to bring in our own birthday cake. All the adults had the lamb Sunday roast and we were all v impressed with portion size and the amount of meat we had. The kids enjoyed their food too. The only reason why it was not a 5 overall is that the place is not really geared up for people with mobility issues and getting grandpa to the loo was an ordeal as there are lots of steps. But other than that it was great!

    Seemed to be an error with orders for our table. We're arrived at 6.30 and food arrived 8ish! We only come to you as convenient for all to meet. Music not really necessary, too loud in conservatory. Staff very pleasant, and apologetic about their oversights.

    There was a vast difference in quantity of the food. I usually order a salad starter but this was much smaller than it has ever been. We were told that there was only one of the pies left (fair enough) so the other option was a chicken and leek pie. My dad asked for this but was not allowed to order that until the one remaining chicken and chorizo pie had been ordered! Very bizarre and frustrating! My husband had sweet potato fries with his meal. My mum would have liked to have had a side of these but there was no option on the menu to order them so she had no idea they were available until they turned up with my husband's order.

    I have always loved visiting The Swan! The staff are always incredibly helpful and kind! The food was to die for and I cannot recommend the Pork belly and the loaded brownie enough!!!

    Good to return here after many years. Friendly and efficient staff. Very handy for meetings because so close to M5. But.....so noisy, large parties tend to make a lot of noise, so not too easy to chat with that background going on!

    Met up with my friend for early evening dinner, so it was quiet to begin with. We had a cosy table in the corner, and the food was lovely. Staff, as always, were very helpful and polite. 🙂

    Last minute stop in didnt dissapoint but some funny items: - all the birthday parties, listening to them sing twice as someone forgot to film - when asking a waitress what the flavours of ice cream were : response ‘all of them’

    Great atmosphere, good and varied choice of food and food was great quality. Recommend lamb burgers. No table service at all on Friday lunchtime when we went - not sure if this is every day - so all drinks and food had to be ordered at the bar. Would have preferred table service.

    Good food - when it came! A not overwhelmingly busy Sunday lunchtime, but still took 15 minutes before asked for order, and a further 35 before it arrived. Other than that, a pleasant enough time. A place I would recommend unless you’re in a hurry!
