Food and service were excellent. Cocktails were outstanding and appetizer menu had good variety of tastes and textures. Main course options were more standard fare and would have liked more exciting offerings, but food itself was well executed and delicious. We will definitely be back. One criticism is that the background music -- heavy metal -- did not match the atmosphere or ambiance. But that is any easy change!

We had a lovely, quiet dinner! The food was delicious but the prices are just a little high. We would definitely go back.

Found this when searching for restaurants by Harper's Ferry. That, it's not....turned out to be quite a drive. And the location is lovely but the food, well, it was OK. My cobia was much as I might have cooked it at home--overcooked and dry. The curry sauce with it was fine. The rolls were tasteless, clearly heated from frozen dough. For a wine bar, the wines were not very interesting. My husband's crab cakes were good but not the best we've had. Overall, a fine meal but nothing to come back for.

We had a fabulous meal. Both the service and the food were excellent. We will definitely return.

We had the oysters on a half shelf for our appetizer and they were amazing! Such great flavor!! The prime rib special melted in our mouths, and the duck fat potato wedges were unbelievable. The creamed spinach - a different take on what we are used to - but who was it awesome! Such an awesome experience and we cannot wait to come back!

Just a great experience

We have a wonderful time. The food was excellent as well as the service.

The food that we received was good, but in my opinion over-priced. We were seated right away for our reservation and had an option of indoor or outdoor seating which was nice. When we were seated we were directed to the QR card which had the menu. Our server informed us they were serving from the brunch menu. We were not told that they were out of many items from the brunch menu before we ordered. My husband and I both placed an order and neither of the items we selected were available. We place another order, and my item was not available. I placed an order for another item, and it too was not available.

I ended up ordering something I didn't really want, and when it arrived, it was prepared well and it tasted good. My husband didn't care for his dish.

We have been West End customers since they opened, and this was our first negative experience. We will be back, but at the price point they charge I would have expected our server to inform us PRIOR to ordering that they were out of "xyz" items on the menu. It was a frustrating experience.

Our first time there and we loved it. Food and ambience was terrific.

We waited over an hour for dinner. They overextended themselves and tried to handle carry out in addition to dine-in. It was also very noisy and tables were not as spaced out as I would expect considering COVID. Very disappointing and not the usual great experience.

Best Mussels this side of the Mississippi River!!!

The staff was attentive, the service timely, and the ambience welcoming. The food was fantastic, well-seasoned, healthy portioned, and largely locally sourced. Scallops were perfectly cooked and vegetables were just tender. Orecchiette was clearly handmade and generously seasoned. The wine list draws on some of Virginia’s finest and the beer covers a fair sampling of locally produced brews.

Without hesitation, we would recommend West End Wine Bar and Pub to friends.

The food was great. We were seated by the bar and it seemed very busy . The food was fabulous and the wine selection great.

Another great meal at The West End Bar & Pub. Gillian was our server, and she was terrific. In fact every server we've ever had there has been terrific. We shared the cheese platter, tomato salad and hangar steak. All were prepared to perfection. They are doing a great job at social distancing. We strongly recommend The West End.

Great food, great service, great ambiance on the patio - what more could we want?

Facility nicely done, service was good. Food was good but boring.

We went for our anniversary and shared the steamed mussels in ramp butter (insert drooly face). My husband had the hangar steak and I had the pan seared cobia (insert much more drooly face), then we both finished dinner with a Nutty Irishman and cheesecake. Man, was it delicious and the outdoor patio was beautiful.

A great spot. We shared the cheese plate, tomato salad, hamburgers and crème brulee. All were delicious. Kate, our server, was warm and friendly, as was Jeremy, the chef. We can't wait to come back.
