The quality of food has never been a key attraction at the Wolesley - the ambiance and style of the venue being it’s key attraction - however this time the food was verging on inedible. A real shame.
First time back since lockdown. As great as ever!
Had fun Friday lunch with a friend. Sea bass was delicious. Great atmosphere, buzzy crowd.
Never fails to please. A safe bet in one of London’s best dining rooms
Wonderful, food and cocktails both Devine as always
Sheer perfection. Faultless. As usual!
Pleasure to be back at the Wolseley after all this time and it is as good as ever.
Wonderful my clients were so impressed thank you
As a regular at the Wolseley, I was disappointed by the service I received on this visit. The waiter seemed disinterested and like he didn't want to be there. As we were celebrating a birthday, he flung the complimentary plate that the restaurant offered for the occasion on to the table. I asked that the bacon wasn't overcooked to which he told me it didn't come that way. It came very crispy. The croissant was cold. We felt rushed and people were banging into the back of my chair as they walked past depsite having ample room. I hope this is a one off especially as the rest of the staff were faultless and I've not had an experience this bad before.
Great atmosphere, lovely food. Highly recommend it!
Service problematic... not least of all because they intended to sit us at a table that another couple had seconds before just moved from... without first sanitising/ changing over a ready laid table that had been partially used.
Just one of the meals where it all works, food, conversation, drinks and the service - it was memorable
First class food and first class service. Always delivers
very busy and rowdy, the food was good but nothing out of the ordinary.
Great place for food, service and amazing building!
One of my favourite places to visit mainly due to the lovely surroundings and general buzz. Even in these strange times the atmosphere is still great. Food is always consistent. Lower rating this time as the service was not as good as usual, could just have been the waiter we had but never the less expect better from this establishment.
Always a treat... consistently delivers.
Great ambiance, good service
A wonderful dinner. The restaurant responded to the note I left indicating this was a special occasion (milestone birthday for my partner) and sat us in a lovely table in the position I had requested. Lovely food, excellent service, wonderful atmosphere and a lovely “Happy Birthday” message with my partners desert. Thank you for looking after us so well!
Great food, staff are always attentive. Great place to eat.
We had a late booking and given restaurants have to close at 10pm we were quite rushed because our table was not available immediately. This was a shame but the food and service were excellent.
Always a great place to eat. Wide variety on the menu at a range of prices and the quality of the food is excellent. We had a table upstairs in their mezzanine area and the service is never as good up there. Make sure you get a table on the floor as it never lets you down
Service and quality of food is always exceptional. Doing well at this covid time.
we were shove in a corner table next to till , so ever time the waiter took some tissue of the roll the dust went alover our breakfast, my order was wrong then when told he just rolled his eyes to the waiter delivering food , also tables were very close together near the next person no safety measures only face masks on waiters . i loved going to worsley but not been back for a year and very disappointed that the standard have dropped .
Everything you want and more. Old fashioned service I mean proper service how it used to be. Place buzzing felt like being back in normal life. Brunch fabulous Eggs Arnold Bennett toast & a lovely birthday touch. We couldn’t have asked for or expected more. Just superb experience.
Great ambience and great table on the mezzanine
These are difficult times with temperature checks on arrival and masks which detract from The Wolseley experience. Despite being on time, our table wasn’t ready so overall not a good start.
We ordered the Chateaubriand for two which is a favourite. Be warned, there is a 40 minute wait. The ends of the cut of meat were dry to the eye and taste buds but the rest perfect. I am not sure how the meat passed kitchen quality control.
As it was a birthday, a mini macaron with Happy Birthday plaque was served with dessert. Who doesn’t like a macaroon?! A nice touch and appreciated.
Overall the service was a little slow and we had to ask for service on several occasions. Not sure why bread was served without side plates? Standards did seem to slip from previous visits but ever hopeful that a return to “normal” will bring a return to perfection.
We had a wonderful time as always. Was v grateful that our table time was extended also . We got to enjoy a long and leisurely lunch .
Food was fine. We’d go back again for the atmosphere and ambiance.
