I am writing to share my recent dining experience, hoping my detailed observations can contribute constructively to your operational improvements. Unfortunately, my visit was marked by significant systemic challenges that greatly impacted the quality of service. From the outset, it was apparent that the team was severely understaffed, and regrettably, the existing personnel did not appear to be effectively coordinated. For instance, despite the restaurant not appearing particularly busy, I observed two hostesses at the front desk. One of them remained largely unengaged and idle while servers visibly struggled to manage their sections and attend to patrons. This presented a clear, missed opportunity for resource reallocation or cross-training that could have significantly alleviated pressure on the floor staff. The kitchen operations also presented considerable difficulties. Food preparation was notably protracted, leading to lengthy waits between courses and, more critically, dishes arriving at our table with significant inconsistencies in timing. This often resulted in some members of our party beginning their meals while others waited substantial periods for theirs, significantly detracting from the communal dining experience. Such disarray typically points to a lack of effective expediting and timing oversight within the kitchen management. Compounding these issues was a noticeable absence of management presence on the floor. Throughout our meal, I did not observe a single manager actively supervising or intervening to address the visible inefficiencies. Similarly, the bar service was exceptionally slow, with the bartender frequently absent from their post for extended periods, leading to considerable delays in receiving drinks. As a proprietor of three businesses myself, I understand the complexities inherent in hospitality and generally prefer to offer commendations. However, the operational inefficiencies witnessed during this visit were so pronounced that

When True Food Kitchen first opened, I thought the food was great and innovative given the health-conscious concept. I very much appreciated the calorie counts that appear in the menu. However, I think the restaurant has become complacent in recent years; there doesn’t seem to be much effort or creativity put into the dishes. The dishes have become meh.

The food at True Food was very good, as it always is. But our service yesterday was terrible! We had to flag down our server to take our order and then again (the second time involving one of us having to get up and go search for her) to get our checks. We weren’t in a hurry; the service was just almost nonexistent. We were also there after the lunch rush, so it wasn’t a question of them being busy with other tables. Very disappointing!

The restaurant was completely dead and yet they were sold out of the impossible burger. They also no longer have the kale quac and gf pita. portions were small and yet prices were super high.

I often eat at True Foods, and generally have a solid experience. Last night's meal wasn't great: the food presentation was good, yet the qualify of the food wasn't great, it wasn't spiced as I was hoping. We went on the early side for a Saturday night--545p--so there were few people eating, which accounted for the lower noise level than on previous visits. I think last night was just an abnormal experience, or this is what I am hoping.
