Tuscan Bistro Bar
Francis was our server and he was outstanding. We enjoyed the chicken wings scarpiarello, Caesar salad and a delicious pizza. We have been here many times before, never had such a delicious lunch.
We went for dinner on a Wednesday and half the dinning room was closed. They had trivia night and eventhough not many people playing trivia it was so loud you could not hear the person next to you.
Sat in the bar service was great and food was excellent
The server was excellent however, the restaurant needs improvement. The room was cold-had to keep my jacket on. The menu selection wasn’t Tuscan Italian. It has an assortment of American Cuisine & not Italian Inspired.
I believe everyone at the table was pleased with their meals. The server was courteous but not all that attentive
The food at Tuscan never disappoints. Great variety of Italian and American cuisine. The Scarpiello Wings, Italian Mac n Cheese, and Baby Back Ribs are my favorites.
Maybe is was due to the holiday, it was a lack
Luster experience. The dining room wasn’t busy, there were maybe 4 other tables with patrons. Our server was nice, he seemed to be managing all the occupied tables in the restaurant.
My salmon from the clean eating meal was very good, the ribs were reported as more spicy than usual from one of the other people in our party. Someone else stated the risotto was full of garlic but bland with no salt or other seasoning
The cannoli pizza, ordered for the table to share was honestly not very good. There was barely any cannoli toppings on it.
Great atmosphere and a nice time, but the service was slow, our food came out and no one checked on the table for 10 minutes. My son's chicken fingers and fries were served without ketchup or honey mustard and I had to grab a ketchup from an empty table nearby. Every item from the bar was also over charged, all 4 $8 wines were charged at $10 and the $6 wine was charged at $8 (not happy hour by the way these were regular menu prices that were all upped for the bill, they fixed the prices when I asked, but how many people don't check and pay the extra $10?
Every year we make it a point to visit Tuscan Grill when we are in the area for a cheerleading competition. It is by far 1 of our favorite restaurants, wish we lived closer to frequent it more.
We have never been disappointed by the food or service. Our favorite dish is the chicken wings scarpiela (not sure on spelling) and their warm baked bread to dip in the sauce!
Great service, our waiter Scott was very attentive . We ordered the 2 for 1 Rib special ribs were good but just warm as were the sweet potatoes. Scott brought us new sweet potatoes but we had already started on the ribs so we let it slide. We will go back and hope the food is hot.
No one can beat their chicken wings scarpariello style, which is exactly why I went there for lunch. Very good service. I would certainly go back again.
I’ve been to this restaurant many times. Last night was disappointing. Watch your bill because I ordered house wine and they up charged me for a more expensive wine. Also an up Charge on veggies that I didn’t notice on the menu. I would’ve said something but I had already complained about my steak that was served extremely well done. They brought me out a whole new dinner which was very nice but at that point everyone else was done eating and I was full from what I could salvage on my plate. The scarpariello wings never disappoint but overall not the best experience. Also I was not able to book on open table, I had to call ahead to get seating. The bar food here is decent, meals overall have been hit or miss. Pasta dishes are safe options.
We loved it!!! The food was excellent! Service was wonderful! Great place!
Food seems to be improving again but they got rid of the Tuscan tea. I have no idea why they would get rid of something so good. The scarpiello wings were good as always.
It was easy to get a reservation while across the street there was an hour wait. Ridiculous when this place has good food. Will go again
Sat in the bar area so naturally a bit loud. The real distraction was the air conditioning.
Everyone in the party was freezing, rediculous low temp. If they wanted to speed up the
customers leaving, it working. Food was good and service was verygood. Prompt and attentive.
Have brought many friends there for the Wednesday rib night. They all loved it and have gone back again.
Some of the best ribs in town!!
I was a little concerned when I walked in and the place was half empty while every other restaurant parking lot on Hooper avenue was overflowing. Service and food quality were good, but the menu was pretty limited.
Birthday celebration with family. Seated at a table that was so wobbly that they had to use about 10 bar coasters to level it. Next server was nice took food order and 1 person specifically said no bacon and another no mushrooms. Food was delivered by a food runner and she kept saying that the 1 item ordered with no bacon was no tomatoes, we had explained to her that it was no bacon due to an allergy. She basically said whatever and dropped the wrap in front of my guest. Kinda had to flag down my server to correct the situation, she did say she put it as no bacon but she was going to have it remade. So waiting and waiting to the point of everyone at the table was basically done eating and once again had to flag her down. She went to check and said they were working on it. Chicken wrap??? Finally a manager came out with the dish and stated he personally made it himself (little attitude going on). Then stated to another guest who ordered no mushrooms that the dish she ordered doesn't have mushrooms in it and he called corporate to makd sure of this. I then said to manager that dish does have mushrooms and it lists it on the menu. We then told him that wasn't the problem the wrap that he brought out was. Basically said with an attitude well I will comp it for you. Nice he did that but would of rather had it right to begin with and not bring it out with an attitude. I was in the business for a long time not a way to treat customers. Have knowledge of your menu and get the story straight before making statements. Funny thing was someone else at the table had the same dish the no mushroom one and theirs had mushrooms.
Overall food is great however the french fries are very very greasy
We arrived and were seated right away. We even given a choice of where we wanted to sit. Matt our server was very patient and attentive. We had drinks and dinner, we weren't rushed at all. Everyone enjoyed their choice of dinner.
Bread was never delivered as promised. Waiter even brought the oil said he would bring when it came out of oven, Had the sausage /broccoli rabe. Greasy/salty Broccoli rabe was so tough couldn’t even cut it with a knife. My husband only drinks o’douls (non/alcoholic) beer. Waiter said they were either out of stock or not carrying it anymore. Then when bill came we were charged for it. Waiter fixed it afterwards. Not going back
Tuscan house has always been a favorite place- it has gone downhill . The server was very nice but a bit unorganized and we had to wait a long time for food. The portions have shrunk enormously and the quality of the food is just ok. I used to look forward to my Tuscan Burger, it was my favorite in the area. The flavor was ok but the bun wasn’t what it usually gets served on and it was so soggy I had to eat it with a fork.
Always good. Food is a mix of bar food and entries. Pizza is great, mac and cheese is special. Salads are good size and taste wonderful.
Great hang out place.
While the food tasted good, the whole atmosphere of the place felt less than we expected. We had eaten here when the place first opened, and we were much more impressed. Additionally, the staff appeared to have just started that night--Had to ask for the bred and water, had to remind the server that a spoon was required for one of the meals, a shared salad was served with out serving utensils or side plates, until we asked. Nothing terrible--but takes away from the dining experience.
Great place to go for a relaxing quick Easter dinner after a long day out with family. Glad to see gluten free pasta options on the menu. Thanks!
Food is mediocre and so is service.
Food, service and drinks were excellent. Just a little expensive, but a nice treat! Server was friendly and nice. (Long blonde hair, big eyelashes, big nails.) Maybe Christy???
We went with our group for the Wednesday ribs special buy one get one free. The ribs are excellent! We will all be going back. The service was friendly and very accommodating.
Best ribs in town
I had a reservation for 7:30 to celebrate four friends birthdays in the month of April. Upon arriving and checking in with the hostess, I was informed there was an issue with the computer system and our table wasn’t ready. We didn’t get seated til almost 20 min after the reservation time. My friends and I were disappointed we weren’t seated on time. Once seated I had ordered a glass of white sangria and only to find out your restaurant only serves red sangria, which was disappointing. Our waiter Anthony was very efficient and attentive to our group. Overall, the dining experience was good and had a great night celebrating everyone’s birthday.
Our waiter was extremely slow. The 2 adult entrees came out before my 3 year old even got to make her pizza AND THEN it had to be cooked. Usually for a child their food would be out first. And even to order drinks he was no where to be found.
This restaurant has really good food. When I reserved a table for two on a Saturday though, it was in the bar area where it is super noisy and I couldn't hear one word my husband said. It was just an eat and leave dinner not very relaxing. Overall, I really like this restaurant, just not the bar area during prime dinner time. It is great when you sit in the dining area on the other side of the restaurant.
It was perfect, we were seated quickly and the food came out in a timely manner. The lemon chicken dish was very good. I would not recommend the Mac n cheese. The cheese was flavorless and it was overpowered with garlic. The wings were awesome. Appetizers are always great there.
As always, Tuscan provided a great dinner and great drinks (nuts and berries martini for me please ) Our server was a doll and was very attentive. Unfortunately our appetizer never came out but the fresh hot focaccia bread was delish so we didn’t miss it too much. The server took the app off the bill and apologized several times. We love Tuscan and will continue to make it our go to spot when we go out to dinner.
Waited over an hour for our meal fir them to tell us there where no mash potatoes. Never got our meal. We left. Waiter was very good though. Manager could seem to care less.
Date night. I’d been here before with co-workers for apps and drinks. The food is good, nothing amazing but good. In regards to the staff I’d say servers at a chain restaurant are friendlier and more attentive. The host was wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and seemed almost annoyed to be working. The server was very nice but after he took our order someone else dropped off our dishes and we ate looking around desperately hoping our server would return to replenish our drinks. When we were almost done we watched them push together tables for about 25 ppl near us. Only then did our server return to let us know he was getting sat with s big table so we “ should flag him down if needed”. Cost was fine and we still left 20% so it wasn’t a nightmare or anything. It’s fine. If you are hungry and this is what’s available than all good.
Once again, great food but below average service. Our waitress forgot to bring us bread and it took 20 minutes to get a refill of my unsweet ice tea. When I finally got it it was the wrong drink.
Always have the same problem with this place, the waiters.
My family and I love this restaurant whenever we go out it is the first place on our list. We have yet to have something on their menu to not like! They even give the kids a little dough ball! So sweet
While having appetizers it got very cold.. We had to our dinner orders and leave. It was completely unacceptable. Waiter seemed completely overwhelmed by normal Friday night crowd. Requested to have air condition turn off or down. No manager ever came over and tried to move us or adjust heat.
