Typically, it’s an overall amazing experience...food, setting, etc. But this time we felt rushed-like they wanted to turn the table quickly. In my opinion, if you’re dropping $300 on dinner for 2, it should be relaxed. The food was good but the service was not 5 star like it should be for this restaurant. I also asked to sit indoors when I made the reservations, but we were put in the rotunda “outside” and we froze. Not a great experience overall :(
Perfect place for a family celebration, my wife's 70th.
Our waiter Eduardo was excellent.
We were in the main dining room on a cold night which had a roaring log fire, this made for a great ambience.
Amazing seven course fixed prix menu
Wagyu beef, lobster, striped bass
Eduardo provided exceptional service...food was amazing with beautiful presentation
Everything from the service, ambience, and food was excellent. Dining was a wonderful experience and we highly recommend 28 Atlantic.
Extremely disappointing! This was a special night for us and we decided to do the chef's tasting menu with wine parings. The food was just terrible. The service was outstanding but we will never go back.
Dear KristyandKen, Please accept our sincere apologies for the disappointing dining experience. It is regretful that we fell short with your meal and we are truly sorry that this spoiled your special evening. I would welcome the opportunity to personally apologize and may be reached at the resort at 508-430-3024. Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns and I hope to hear from you soon. My apologies, Josette C. Willis Director of Quality Assurance
Very limited menu. I was hoping to get a filet mignon, I asked if that was available and was Told that it was not an option.
Every exquisite restaurant offers an option , such as a filet, just in case.
We have loved this restaurant for some time, but this trip did not live up to the past, especially since they are now advertising they are a five-star restaurant. The main problem was the service, as the food was good. Our waiter obviously had too many tables to cover--at least six from what we could tell. He may have been new, as well. We had to ask for many of the things one automatically expects. The waiter didn't ask for a drink order, as he immediately asked what we wanted to eat, so we had to ask for for drinks; we had to ask for napkins; when our soup came, we had to ask for spoons; when oysters came, we had to ask for oyster forks. There was confusion about our soup order. It never really was clear what happened there, but my wife did not get what she thought she had ordered. When our dessert and coffee came, we had to ask for spoons. There just seemed to be confusion for much of the evening. That said, the food was great.
Dear MarkK, Thank you for your review and for bringing your concerns to our attention. It is regretful that your dining experience did not measure to previous visits. I would welcome the opportunity to personally apologize and review your feedback and may be reached at the resort at 508-430-3024. My sincere apologies, Josette Willis Director of Quality Assurance
My mother always told me growing up that you get what you pay for. Great food and service was worth the price. Thank you!
28 Atlantic has a lovely and dramatic dining room with wonderful ocean views. Our server was very good except water was never refilled, a rather obvious slight at such an upscale and pricey venue. Food was delicious.
Great restaurant and service!
I love the view and location!
The service was very good and friendly, interesting menu choices and amazing Martini! One of the best Martini actually
It was a lovely dinner and the waiters were lovely.
Great scenery for sure! Flavorful food. Staff, eh. But got better throughout the evening.
Very friendly service and beautiful view. Food was just ok. Fish was dry (cost $44) Given the cost we expected it to be cooked perfectly.
We came in for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and have one last date night before we welcome our second baby. Service was top notch, the food was exquisite, and the dining room is beautiful. The kitchen added a small “congratulations” chocolate to our dessert in regards to our new baby which I thought was an extremely thoughtful touch! We had a nice walk around the property after dinner. We will definitely be back!
Amazing atmosphere with top notch service from entering guest services to Outstanding waiter John.,Food was exceptional hats off to the Chef! We will certainly be back and tell our friends of your amazing restaraunt
This is truly a destination restaurant for someone who is passionate about creative and memorable dining. Yes, the prices are fairly high, but the chef delivers, the service is genuinely premium and the ocean view spectacular. A solid wine list adds to the lovely experience. many restaurants aspire to be top tier. In our country, few make the highest grade. Also, a positive, I didn't detect any "attitude". The staff is genuinely interested in making your evening a delight. As you would expect, there is plenty of splendid seafood, but other options are available and presumably equally satisfying.
We loved our meal! We came here after our wedding ceremony to celebrate our special day.
Great venue but the experience was unfortunately impacted by Covid restrictions. However, considering the restrictions, still an exceptional venue.
We have dined here several times and always found it to be an extraordinary experience. Last night, while we understand the required changes as a result of Covid, we were unprepared for being seated outside next to some very loud parties. While I understand there’s limited seating in the main dining room, the restaurant made no indication that virtually all seating would be outside. Furthermore, the email that was sent to me confirming my reservation had a link to a menu for the restaurant. This menu was very typical of what we’ve experienced over many dining experiences at the restaurant. However when we were seated outside we were given a menu that was completely different and was missing many items from the electronic version sent to me.
I think the Twenty Eight Atlantic should be more transparent about these changes since it’s totally out of character with all prior dining experiences we have had at this restaurant. People should be prepared for a menu that’s different than what is being represented in the confirming email from the restaurant and if you’re looking for an intimate quiet dinner in a five-star restaurant you might want to reconsider.
I made a reservation for 28 Atlantic and was not seated in the restaurant, but rather an area with a tent roof and it was open to the outside. It would have been ok had it not been a cold and rainy night. Not what I was expecting.
28 Atlantic never fails to be the best fine dining on the Cape. Everything was fabulous as always and the service impeccable...
Vivian was amazing
Food was amazing. Service was great. Restaurant was elegant. You would be hard pressed to find a better dinning experience.
We always enjoy our time at 28 Atlantic for our special occasions. Ambiance is elegant with beautiful views. Food is unique and creative. Service is usually good but our server this last visit was not attentive.
The service and food were superb, as well as the outdoor seating. We had a wonderful and relaxing dinner.
Our waitresses were so friendly and wonderful with their service. The food was very delicious and we're surprised the restaurant doesn't have a Michelin star because the food and experience were impeccable. The hostess and manager were also very friendly and thoughtful; ouyt first night at the restaurant was a celebration of our anniversary and what would have been our wedding night. They expressed their condolences about our postponed wedding and gave us chocolates and our card for our celebration. This sincere and thoughtful gesture was a great beginning to our experience at Twenty-eight Atlantic. We want to visit Cape Cod again sheerly for this restaurant.
Words can not describe the most amazing experience we enjoyed at twenty eight. From the minute we walked in, we were greeted with beautiful card and chocolates to celebrate my husbands birthday. Our server, Eme was outstanding! Each course was beautiful and delicious. We even booked the Wequassett Resort and it was magnificent! The service was outstanding!
Wonderful place - highly recommend!
We celebrated our 32 anniversary there and despite all the COVID regulations and protocols, they went out of their way to make it a special occasion for us. We sat on the terrace overlooking the water. Service and food was top notch and the personalized card and chocolates were a sweet touch. I would highly recommend dining with them!
Outstanding atmosphere and amazing service.
Our first time at this restaurant was excellent. The food was well prepared and fresh; the service was top class too. This second time, the food was a real disappointment. Our waiter tried very hard and clearly knew something was amiss. For the price, this restaurant needs to do much better in the kitchen. automatically adding an 18% tip to the bill was a not particularly nice surprise either.
We love Twenty Eight Atlantic and come at least a couple of times a summer, plus also like Thoreau's and the Outer Bar. We knew it would be a lot different this year and were happy just to be able to dine out. But it was a VERY different experience. The prices were the same (we ordered 28 Atlantic dishes from what is now a combined menu) but no longer include bread service or any extras. It seemed more like casual hotel dining, albeit one with a beautiful view. The food is still excellent. I feel like at those prices they should at least bring back bread service.
They are clearly short on staff - which again I understand given the visa restrictions in place. The servers were well meaning but there were long lags in service, they didn't know who had ordered what, no one refilled our wine glasses (maybe that's no longer allowed?).
Hopefully these changes aren't permanent - I look forward to next summer.
Wonderful experience; highly recommend
Food was delicious but portions were VERY small. I can appreciate the certain gourmet vibe but my meal was missing a vegetable and I wasn’t even substituted something else. No bread course either. Also, the children’s menu was bigger than the regular adult menu which was odd. Very few options. Food was certainly tasty but was just lacking that something extra you expect for that price tag. Service was good and the ambience was wonderful. We would love to go back someday to try the regular full menu as this was the “post Covid” version. This is a very special spot but the food fell just short of expectations unfortunately.
The service and view are exceptional. The place where they drop the ball, big time, is the quality of the food. The hamburger was premade and overcooked. The fries were soggy. At $25 for a burger that’s not acceptable. The chicken at$37 was bland.
Very nice experience. Beautiful resort on water.
As expected from a resort of this level, prices are at higher end.
Great escape from crowded Chatham restaurants and only 15 minutes away.
Food was on the cool side temp wise. Scallops and lobster were overcooked though. Drinks were great. Service excellent. Very nice ambiance. Unfortunately for the price I expect my food hot and cooked appropriately and would not go back.
Limited menu due to Covid-19, so the experience was not up to standards.
