Need better heaters

Good service and they did a nice job with the heaters to try to keep us warm outside.

Really happy to be able to catch dinner with a friend..........yes it's cold out in the tent, but you are in Chicago in January. I feel so bad for all those in the restaurant industry who are trying to survive in the circumstances we are living in right now........ great establishment.........keep pushing

Very COVID safe and friendly. Great, hot food and excellent service. The black bean burger and cheese curds are some favs, and make sure to order a beer as well!

Wow great food and amazing service! Fresh and fast. Sat outside for brunch and the heater was sufficient. Recommend highly!

They had outdoor dining set up with heaters and a tent to make it more comfortable. The servers were friendly and made sure we had what we needed at all times. Great experience overall.

The food was delicious and so easy to order with the GF and vegan markings on the menu. Love love loved the miso cauliflower!

Two sides of the tent were open, resulting in terrible cold and winds. All 4 tent sides should be closed!

Outside dining in November, due to Covid-19. I was hesitant to go out to eat, but I felt very safe overall; plenty of space between tables, the tent was just a roof, so no air was trapped by walls and kept the airflow strong the whole time, and the overhead heater worked quite well.
Food and service was excellent as well. The staff strongly and politely encouraged everyone to keep their mask on when no one at a table was eating/drinking. Beer selection/recommendations were on point too.

Waitress was a bit cranky, but the food was good. The outdoor area is pretty comfortable, but wear a long coat or bring a blanket to sit on. The chairs a cold!

Nice atmosphere, cocktails and service was good, but the food was, sadly, not great. Shiitake mushroom risotto was very rich, but didn't taste of much and the pumpkin ravioli, while having potential for being good, were so oily that I cannot bring myself to give even four stars. Artichoke, goat cheese & pesto dip and apple cinnamon cobbler were alright, but not great.

One of our favorite neighborhood spots! We were in a rush and we had the fastest service we could've asked for, with delicious food.

Very good food. Outside on the patio on a warm fall day. Staff very attentive to COVID-19 protocol.

So safe lovely out door heated tent! Amazing cocktails and big fan of the salmon! Definitely go support this local restaurant!

I have been coming here for over 15 years. A gem! We had the cheese curds, goat cheese fondue and shared pork tacos. Our server was great too! Patio is great for dining outside!

They are doing a great job with the food and COBID precautions!

The pumpkin ravioli was so flavorful. I couldn't put my fork down. Bundle up - outdoor seating only and the heating lamp was not very helpful.

All things considered - we had a great meal and excellent service, which is normal for Uncommon Ground. What isn't "normal" was sitting outside in a tent in 40° weather. Bundle up a little and try to get a table with an overhead heating unit. Small business needs us! Happy to support these folks and they provided a great experience!

Everything was great! Great food & good social distancing. The only complaint is the over priced growlers & howler we purchased.

Great brunch place! Seasonal menu always has something for everyone. Great outdoor space, social distancing is not a problem. The waiter won't approach the table unless everyone is masked. Terrific beer selection also.

In the time of Covid, there are people who have different requirements. For me, I’m very immune compromised and could only sit outside away from any people. My partner and I were celebrating my birthday. It went very well

The food and service are always great at Uncommon Grounds. I love their organic beers. Due to COVID, all dining is outdoors, which I totally get. But they could use some more of those portable heaters ( I only saw two) or some wind screens; I was shivering by the end of dinner. I might have to wait for spring to return to this neighborhood favorite.

Surprised that they haven't opened up indoors yet...city allows 40% indoors. Sat with a heater and that was nice....the menu selections are still road and all the food was excellent.

Went for Saturday afternoon brunch and had a great time. Food was amazing, service was solid, and all Covid safety measures were well abided by! Would recommend for outdoor dining!!

Menu was great, only available online but that’s fine under circumstances. Staff seemed preoccupied and uncomfortable so I didn’t ask any questions or make special requests but that was fine too. It was nice to get out - ambiance was nice, cool fall decorations. So many good options it was hard to choose. Went with schnitzel and wasn’t disappointed. Would definitely go back.

My favorite new go -to place for outdoor lunch (3rd time this summer). Lovely layout, well spaced tables, yummy food and polite attentive, careful service. Love it there
