This is one of our go to restaurants when we want to step it up a notch. The service is always good and the ambience can't be beat. We were fortunate to get a seat by the window. Even at night, it is a lovely tranquil view of the water.
This one time, my beef wasn't cooked to my request (I asked for medium rare and got medium well). It was still quite tasty
One last thing...during these times of Covid, they have done an excellent job in spacing the patrons apart. I had no concern about social distancing at all..

A beautiful setting along with gorgeous presentation made for a terrific saturday night dinner with close friends. The food was exceptional. The service was top notch.

Great restaurant

This was my first time eating at View and after my experience I'll definitely be returning again. The restaurant is beautiful and I can only imagine what it's like during the summertime. The food was delicious and the service was top notch!

Nice XMAS Eve dinner at the view. Great food, a tad pricey, but good overall.

Had Christmas Eve dinner there. We were seated too close to the kitchen area so there was high wait staff traffic. Our server was very nice and our meal was fine. Not impressed with the short rib dinner. The meat was a little dry and bland.

Not only was the food phenomenal (my whole family of 5), but our service could not have been better. Our server, Spencer, introduced himself and was the perfect balance between attentive and discreet. If there's one positive out of COVID it's that we may have found a new Christmas Eve tradition.

Had a nice quiet meal ... lobster bisque and lobster pasta espresso martini and dirty martini ... was nice an pleasant food always good everyone was very kind .

Very quiet due to COVID. Service was good and the food was excellent. Had to ask for the wait staff to bring bread after they said it was on the way and must have forgotten.

Service was a little slow our waitress would disappear for a while but overall food was amazing

The scallops were lovely- sweet. The rum punch took me on a temporary vacation.

I'm totally disappointed with the service at the view. I have been here many times before the covid19 and it was amazing. the restaurant still has an amazing View. My sever Blanca was horrible she sat us down took our order and never came back. I had to get up and ask another server for a box to wrap my food. and then I had to go to the front desk to ask for my bill.

Usually one of our go to places....
Maybe an off night...
Give them the benefit of the doubt this time....

Another great experience at the View for an early dinner so we could enjoy the water view. The price fixed menu is a real value with many excellent choices and service was attentive and top notch.

Service was great!! Food was good and served promptly. I’m not sure if it was the air freshener or the spray that they used to clean the table, but it had A VERY STRONG SMELL!! It reminded me of air freshener that they use in public bathrooms.
Not the kind of atmosphere you’re comfortable to eat in.

Wonderful time food excellent, service cheerful and on time Tables well spaced.

We had a wonderful time.

Upon entering the restaurant there was a strong odor that I attributed to disinfectant but really smelled bad. Another member of our party later mentioned the same thing to me. The initial seating and order taking was fine but after that there was no follow up for additional drinks unless we flagged down a server. The salads were served without any dressing and required waiting to locate a server. After appetizers had been finished, they tried to put down the main course before removing the previous dishes. What really was annoying about the hold thing is that we were the only people dining and we were outnumbered by the staff by a ratio of 2 for 1.
We had dined at the View before and never had a problem.
I hope they get their act together soon.

We went here for an anniversary dinner, and ultimately decided that we need a do over.

We were seated in a booth that didn't really have a great "view" but were more than willing to put that past us.

After waiting a few minutes to put in our drink order, we received our drinks. We then placed our appetizer order, and waiting almost 1 hour to get the appetizer. We actually had to make eye contact with the manager, to let him know it has been almost an hour. On top of that, no visits from our waitress during that time period.

We then received our appetizer which was "ok".

Our main course came, and that was just icing on top of the cake. The food was very bland. I ordered a steak, medium rare, and it tasted rough and certainly was "not" medium rare.

The waitress came by after we received our food to let us know that the delays weren't her fault.

Overall, I felt it was overpriced and service was poor.

We will not be returning. There are many places in the near vicinity with better quality food and service.

Have always enjoyed this restaurant, absolutely gorgeous views and since it’s gotten a little chilly in the evenings and indoor dining has opened up can still enjoy the sunset through the expansive windows.
The food here has always been a cut above the competition and that hasn’t changed, the roasted Brussels sprouts appetizer should not be missed, so good it’s addictive, the short ribs were falling off bone delicious.
The only thing I miss are the popovers they used to serve in the bread basket, I hope they choose to bring them back.

The view is known primarily for the beautiful water view on the south shore of Long Island. Always so peaceful dining in the beautiful dining room, overlooking the water. Even better when you get to sit on the deck when the weather is warmer, whether for a cocktail in the seating area or to dine. It was very lively at the bar, Friday Happy Hour, but very quiet in the dining room. Currently, there is a pre-fixe dinner during the week for $30. Great value. Most of what we had was great including the wedge salad, mussels warm rolls with flavored butter great, and the dessert wonderful, but the chicken was rubbery, the staff couldn't have been more accommodating in offering a change and the salmon also a hit.

Want to thank the staff for their hospitality.

The food was excellent. The service was great and the price was very good. We had a great time and can't wait to come back and sit at an outside table whe the weather warms up. Great experience highly recommend The View

Great dining experience- beautiful decor and views with impeccable service - 1st class dining experience

Sushi was great. Duck taco shells were a little too oily. Scallop entree came out warm, not hot. Swordfish was undercooked. Staff was very attentive.

Good quality menu selection. The food is always consistently of very good. The lobster pasta and Scallops entrees we had were excellent. One of our favorite restaurants.

2nd valentines day dinner there. Service and food both phenomenal! The GM/ sommelier was extremely kind attentive and lead his staff incredibly.

The worst dinner I never had. Got there at 7 o'clock, didn't get our appetizers until 45 minutes later. Never saw a waiter again Waited another 45 minutes for are entries then told manager we were leaving. Got up went to Manninos had a nice dinner.

Love the ambiance here. We go back again and again. This time I chose the linguini and clam sauce pasta, it was good but I’m partial to my own recipe. My appetizer was delicious! Wine was perfect and our waitress was very kind and attentive. We will be back.

We went to the view because it usually does not disappoint. However service was slow. Getting a drink was nearly impossible.
