Villa Capri Ristorante
Villa Capri never disappoints! Excellent artichoke/parmesan salad, spaghetti with meatballs and manicotti!
I planned to celebrate a birthday on July 5th afternoon and after scheduling a table for 8 at 1pm I show up and the restaurant was closed! I WAS SUPER MAD!! This is the second time we come in the afternoon and it’s closed! Why do they show on Google that it’s open? MANAGMENT correct this big mistake!!!
We reserved a large table to celebrate graduation, and despite being a few minutes late the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The food was excellent, and our server was engaging. Amazing experience!
The food was amazing!! Great caesar salad and lasagna lunch. Also couldn’t resist having a latte with the tiramisu. Amazing! We will be back.
While not grand gourmet, Villa Capri uses quality ingredients and serves good food. Our waitress was kind enough to tell us that one salad would be plenty for two people to share. Serving red wine in a tumbler style wine glass made the serving size look small but that's just a minor point. I'm not sure I'd drive a long distance to dine at Villa Capri but it's close to our home and provides a convenient and enjoyable dining experience.
The food is very good and price is reasonable. One of my favorite local restaurants.
We had our Easter dinner there and the pastas were expertly prepared and delicious. The service was very courteous and attentive. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
This used to be one of my regular restaurants BUT no longer! First they tried to trick us into buying some Italian Spring Water by simply pouring it into our glasses without asking. Then they served my entree to another guest by mistake but by the time they realized it the other guest had cut the entree in half, asked them to add parmigiana cheese to the entree and pasta, and began, but did not eat it! About 5-10 minutes later they attempted to serve it to me, and when I questioned why it was already covered in cheese and cut in half, I got no reply! Thankfully I saw them dealing with the other customer. When I questioned the server, he seemed upset by having to ask the chef to make a 'fresh one', but did. When the entree finally came out it was overcooked and not that good, but I was done with this restaurant and did not make an issue. They should be ashamed of this form of service!
This is a neighborhood gem. Food is excellent. Service is outstanding. Don't let the shopping center fool you.
The service was extremely poor. Even with few diners, it took them forever to take our orders and then they got one of them wrong. The owner sits in a corner table sipping on a glass of wine, completing ignoring her guests. We have no intention of returning.
Our favorite restaurant for Italian food in the Del Mar and Carmel Valley area. Laura the owner is always very accommodating, outgoing and a true hospitality star. Sonny, our waiter, has the ability to anticipate our needs, no matter how small. Our evening started with the Artichoke appetizer and the meat balls, with a bottle of Daou Cabernet. My wife's main course was the Villa Capri pasta with sausage, bell peppers and artichokes and I ordered the special Veal Ravioli that was served with Bone Marrow. Two very flavorful and enjoyable choices.
Perfect food,service and ambience
Dinner out with 5 friends before the theater. Hadn’t been there in a long time. Remembered it as being rather quiet-maybe there used to be carpet rather than hardwood? Now just as noisy as all the other noisy restaurants we 60 somethings are desperately trying to avoid. But the food & service was excellent!
Outstanding service and delicious dinner!!
The woman server was not our favorite. She does not have much information about menu and misinformed the price. She is somewhat cold side.
Great service and the food is excellent!!
Sonny always treats us like royalty
Everytime I visit Villa Capri I do not leave disappointed. The food is delicious (never had a bad meal) and the service is gracious. This is a local spot for us, and on a recent Saturday night, they were rocking an Earth Wind and Fire music station - so much fun! We will definitely be back!
I ordered Veal very tough. Poor meat quality.
We had the greatest waiter, can't remember his name (from The middle East). He was fun and made our dining experience the right choice. Thank you. Solange
The food and service were great. The noise level inside was way too much for us. W wae ended up eating on the patio and that was much better.
Always a wonderful experience at Cilla Capri...
It’s one of our favorite restaurants.
Go early befo6 if you do t like noise
Oso buco special was fantastic!
This is a neighborhood gem that I go to often. It recently changed hands and the new owners are lovely and do their best to please. I was pleasantly surprised and will be returning.
Special was rack of lamb - they forgot to heat it - had to be sent back.
Saltimbocca is made with sage - if it was there, I did not notice it.
Always worth the wait, food is delish every time. I have no complaints anytime I go. we make it a point to come here after mass all the time!
The food was wonderful yet the service had big gaps-most likely the kitchen being backed up as food came hot to table. In long waits no one checked in to offer us another glass of wine or explain it just let us know they were still thinking about us.
It was Christmas Eve, but I had read this as other’s experience as well. Again- fantastic meal, just poor service (yet nice people!). I really want to love this place!
The food was ok but not great. The salad portions were large and easily shared. The eggplant oarmiagiano was excellent, the veal saltimbaca was tough and the sauce tasted more like a mushroom sauce out of a can. Service is good. Good prices.
There were six of us and we needed to leave for the theater at a specific time. The wait staff was very good about serving times and giving us time to make our play time. The food is always good!
Good. I dd not like the bill where the tip was filled in and then when the final bill was presented the tip was included in the final bill and then the tip line was left blank. I would have actually left a bigger tip than what was filled in but not going to tip twice on the same bill.
We celebrated a friend's birthday - her favorite is Elena's pasta salmon which she always orders. The carrot-ginger soup and vegetarian ravioli were also very delicious. Excellent service.
The waiter was inexperienced. He asked me to go to the back and help him divide our bill in 2. My sister and I split the check. She has 3 kids and I have 2. He forgot a meal and said it was over cooked and that they were making a new one! Not sure we’ll ever go back to our neighbourhood restaurant.
I've eaten here frequently for lunch and highly recommend it! Great values on their lunch menu - special lighter fare. Dinner is also amazing - The Artichoke appetizer is the BEST! Both times I've eaten here for dinner I had the Shrimp and Scallops pasta and its really very good ... My husband has a flatbread and he really enjoyed it. Great bread is included with marinara dipping sauce.
Food so so service about the same
Owner seems to have no interest in her customer
Excellent experience: great service, good selection on the menu and tasty food. The hostess, Laura took good care of my wife and I.
I tried their brunch this past Sunday. It's exactly what you want for a brunch with a $12 all you can drink Mimosa with freshly squeezed orange juice. It's intimate, relaxing and a beautiful way to enjoy a Sunday Brunch! Bravo!
Lourdes was attentive, the food was superb and we would return for lunch or dinner.
great as always. the branzino special was superb, and the lasagne is fantastic.
We arrived at the restaurant and were informed
