   My friend and I use to enjoy this place before covid a couple times during covid and now we enjoy this place even after. Food is awesome and a great value, the service is above all. We will continue to enjoy this place as we have never had a bad experience here

   Our waitress was amazing, she had a great sense of humour and very friendly. I went on a Sunday for the buck a shuck but didn’t realize it was only for the lounge. They made an exception for me and gave me the deal anyway. The manager followed up with us after our meal to make sure we were satisfied. I will definitely be back with my oyster loving friends.

   This was a good location for a large group of 10 business meeting. The service was ok but a bit slow. They had a couple of larger groups in there at the same time...... All in all - it was a good experience.

   Very disappointed with prime rib dinner, caesar salad and Yorkshire pudding which tasted old and stale. Name is same but lots has changed since new management took over. Prime rib used to be slow roasted for hours in special oven and would melt in your mouth. Now, tough and covered with an unappetizing sauce , lots of fat on meat. Presention left lots to be desired. Service okay but nothing special. Will not be returning .

    Went to Vons for our 10 year Anniversary and it did not disappoint. Our server was wonderful, the food was amazing my husband had the surf and turf and I had the steak oscar and would 100 percent recommend!

    We went for a birthday dinner with myself, my partner, my brother and my kids. The service was impeccable the food was incredible. Our only complaint was a table of fellow diners who were using an immense amount of loud profanity.

    We had a fantastic meal at Vons. I haven't been here for over ten years. Nice to see that they haven't missed a beat. Arguably one Edmonton's finest restaurants. We will be back soon.

    My girlfriend and I had gone on our first date and it was truly amazing. Our waiter gave us a complimentary desert that said “our first date” he truly made our entire experience. Would highly recommend.

    We had girls night in the lounge and it was amazing. The drinks were flowing and the food was perfection. The oysters, mushroom neptune, potato puffs, and goat cheese filets with garlic mashed and side of bearnaise were completely devoured with not one bite spared.. Thanks Vons for a wonderful evening!

    My husbands chicken was under cooked, and my friends steak wasn’t cooked how she asked. When they brought her steak out again, it still was too rare. And my husband waited a long time for his chicken the second time. Thankfully they did comp the 2 meals. And the staff was apologetic. However for a steak house, they should know how to cook steak.

    Celebrated my mom’s birthday there on a Friday night. Excellent service from start to finish. Everything we ordered was delicious and prepared perfectly, from the oysters and bacon wrapped scallops to the filet mignon. All nicely finished by a warm chocolate lava cake with ice cream on the house.

    The prime rib was a very low quality, lots of grisell and fat. Had to return both meals. Ordered the filled which was much better. Service was very good and there was no problem being satisfied by end of the evening. The yorkshire pudding was also tough. Desert cream brule was excellent .

    Validated parking (in other words free in the lot beside Vons) So we reserved for Valentines day. There were 2 glasses of sparkling Rose with a cherry at the bottom and a rose for my wife waiting as soon as we entered the restaurant. We checked our coats. Were seated immediately. The set Valentine menu of 6 courses actually had multiple choices for four of them. Salmon moose tarts came strait out first. That paired very well with the 2 glasses of bubbly. Course two was appetizers. I had an awsome tangy fresh tuna carpaccio and the wife said she loved the Tandori cauliflower. Next course 3 was a choice of 4 salads. We both had the HUGE serving of wine poached pears and candied cranberries. Course 4 ... an awsome cheese plate ... with a glass of white or red wine wine came with the salads. At this point I asked for a take home box because I was already getting full and wanted to leave some space for the entrees. Course 5 was a choice of 14 oz Tbone 10 oz Waygu Surf and Turf Crown Rack of Lamb And some roasted chicken dish. My surf and turf was a delicious creation large enough for two all by itself. Half of it was added to my take home box. My wife had the Waygu. The delight on her face with every bite was worth the night out. And yes ... it was a good size plate ... so half of that also went into the take home box. And lastly ... desert ... Sherbert Creme brulee And we chose the apple cranberry crumble. Each serving was large enough for two so we split one and had the other put into a separate take out container. During the meal after our complimentary wines we also ordered a New Zealand white Cabernet .... Indivo and a Red Cabernet ... Seven Oaks. Both were awsome. And I have to give special praise to the Indivo. The bouquet was mesmerizing. Earthy, spicy ... sensual ... hahahaha ... I like my wine. Ok. So that was an awsome meal. Awsome drinks. The service by Michelle was spot on. We left full and laughing.

    Came a bit early for our Valentines dinner reservation. The staff accommodated us and found us a table in lounge. Our food order took a very long to come out. The wait staff was apologetic but did not offer bread or anything to hold us over. We sat next to a table who had a poor experience and kept swearing about it, kind of killed the vibe a bit. Once the food came out, it was great. My boyfriends steak was cooked to perfection and my espresso martini was delicious. As a vegetarian I was unwhelmed with choices but that is on me for not checking it out prior!

    It took an hour our and half for our meals to arrive and at the same time two other tables canceled their orders because they didn't get their meals after waiting over an hour and it was the Valentine's weekend. The food quality was very good and our waiter was very nice but yhe manager did not seem not seem very concerned or offer to take anything off of our bill.

    The restaurant was pretty disappointing. Considering it was valentines weekend there was no romantic vibe or willingness to embrace valentines weekend. Basically every restaurant in Edmonton had a valentines menu for the entire weekend and you chose only to do Monday - kind of stupid. Secondly, our waiter barely spoke, he didn’t say hello or welcome or any form of greeting just walked to the table and said “can I get you a drink”. Thirdly, your butter with the bread - was starting to go rancid so might want to replace it. Fourthly, we ordered 7 different types of oysters and they just brought them to the table - as an oyster house you’re supposed to explain which oysters are which to the client, what kind of sauces you’ve provided, etc. anyone who claims to be a seafood restaurant knows this. Fifthly, you were sold out of 8 oz filet?! How can you let that happen on valentines weekend or in general?! That’s just sloppy. Last but not least, your food is bland and unseasoned. You don’t salt your shrimp before cooking them, that’s very obvious. The steak was over cooked and your “truffle Mac and cheese” had zero truffle, no flavour no salt just watery cheese. It’s also customary higher end restaurants have managers who check in with their guests on how things are going (aka similar to the keg which is half the cost) you don’t do that which again, disappointment. Considering you’re supposed to be a staple restaurant in Edmonton with classic steakhouse vibes, unfortunately I wouldn’t be surprised to see you shutting your doors within the next couple years. Just a fact, not personal.
