We had a fifty dollar coupon so the meal was good value for the money. I would not have been satisfied if I had to pay the entire amount.
It appears that server Lori is not very efficient at serving. Although pleasant, she is very slow. Customers served by the other servers had much better service and were more attentive. Dinner took 1 1/2 hours, and I was alone. I waited for my bill and to go box for 20 minutes. Other people that walked in after me were already gone. That being said, the food is excellent and perfectly prepared.
Excited about my first visit to Wellington’s, I had already reviewed the menu and decided that I wanted to try the Pork Tomahawk! Too bad the pork was so over cooked I could barely cut it and couldn’t even chew/swallow it because it was too dry!! The waitress asked how things were before I had tried my pork then did not return until it was time for the bill. Upon informing her about my entree her response was “You should’ve let me know sooner, maybe I could’ve gotten you something else”! Not really an appropriate response to your customers!! The gentleman across the way also complained of his Porterhouse being way over cooked as well. My mother asked to sub her purée cauliflower for Mac n cheese, which was delicious but they also charged us $7 for it. I expect if I am going to pay $40 for an entree, it better be 100% on point as well as customer service!!
Food is always great but portions have been reduced. Staff is amazing.
From the time I was greeted by the hostess until meal was finished EVERYTHING was awesome especially our waitress Lori (Laura). Definitely a return and Hopefully be taken care of by the same waitress
We returned to this restaurant because we had food comps from the casino. Our previous experience was that of a let down with food and service. And we had no comps at that time . The service was better but still had to wait for water refills . Not to bad as I just drank my husbands til they we refilled. The food was So Much better this time . The husband had shrimp cocktail which was wonderful this time. The salad was just a salad . Not bad just nothing special. The Filet was Amazing this time . It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Overall we were extremely pleased and glad that maybe it was an off night on our previous experience.
Awesome Food as always, waitress was Amazing. And we will be going back
We were under the impression that this would be a nice place for our anniversary dinner. Read about the dress code only to be setting next to a gentleman in a backwards ball cap and hoodie. Service was less then impressive and food was not much better then what could have been gotten from the buffet. We believe we were the only people actually paying for our meal as both tables next to us had comp tickets and coupons. Needless to say we wont be going back next time we will eat down the road at Jim's pub and grub or the gas station.
We always dine at Wellington’s prior to a concert at the casino. Jane is usually our server and she is both personable and professional. The salmon we ordered was delicious and the chocolate cake for dessert was scrumptious. Wellington’s lives up to its fine dining reputation.
Food was excellent. Steak cooked just right. Roll were cooked to perfection... not to hard like most of time. Server Lori was excellent. Got everything we needed. Love eating at the Wellington. Enjoyed the cheesecake.
The food was very good. The Cesar salad was better than most around the Tri state, but that's not too difficult. Steak was cooked right. Service was fantastic. Nothing was over the top great and deserving of the superior price we paid, but maybe had we gotten something other than a steak we may have found a special gem. But it was very good, if a bit overpriced. Ambiance was nice. Just a tad too dim with the lights but still it was a Romantic setting for certain.
Great service and food was really good. Ambience could use a little help but otherwise we always enjoy our meal. Lauren was our server and she was really nice and attentive.
I realize that it's supposed to be upscale but $25 for a bottle of wine that retails for 9.99, a bit much.
I was very surprised by the menu items at Wellington's Steakhouse. The food was good but only one chicken option. If you want steak or seafood that is the place, if you prefer something else your choices are limited.
It took us 40 mins to get bread after we were seated....our server was seldom around.....my $40 steak was ordered medium well and butterflied. It came out well done and the outside was burnt. Our server was an older lady and she was rude and short. No personality at all! IMO, she shouldn’t be working with people. Will never eat there again. So glad it was a comp bill and I didn’t have to pay for the awful food.
We waited outside the restaurant at the hostess stand for 15 minutes and no one showed up. I finally went into the restaurant and into the kitchen and found the manager. He seated us and apologized and offered us 20% off our bill. After ordering drinks my wife received her wine I had to wait 15 minutes to get my Bloody Mary. The waitress said the bartender was serving food in the bar and couldn’t get to my drink. Clearly this place is understaffed. The food was okay but we won’t go back nor would we recommend to friends.
My server forgot to put the order in and it took almost 3 hours to get our food and we were celebrating our Anniversary, They did give us a free desert It was just a very long time to be waiting on our food. I just thought that they might Comp some of the bill. The bill was over a 100.
This was the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant. 1. We had a reservation, we waited a long time for a table. 2. Our salads came out very close to the entrée, I wasn't able to eat my salad. 3. My $50.00 filet was spoiled. 4. Shared my nieces steak with her. If I had to pay for this I would have been really upset, I am very thankful this was paid for with comps.
We were greeted by server and asked if we needed more time. We did ask for a few minutes to view menu. After 30 minutes we waved our server down and said we were ready and 10 minutes later had to ask the hostess for our server to take our order. After 30 more minutes we had received our food and I had ordered a 8 Oz filet medium. What I was brought was extremely rare so I asked to possibly cook it more. Not even 5 minutes later I was brought the same steak in which I cut open again and it was almost the exact same. I finally just asked for it to be cooked more and boxed. I was not given another side to take home to replace cold one. I was not offered money off. During the meal I did ask for more sourdough twice and both times I was brought pretzel bread as if she only heard bread. I’m very fond of Wellington’s but this was a terrible experience. She said she was having a bad night but so it shouldn’t be at our expense. I was given a piece of cheesecake for the inconvenience but that obviously didn’t help me with getting a dinner I could eat.
I truly believe they are too pricy for the food quality. $50.00 for filet and $7.00 per side item is just too much for broccoli & cheese and mac & cheese (that is not enough to share).
Service was great - our waitress was wonderful!
Our bill was over $400.00 for 4 people, we dressed very nice, there were people in shorts and t-shirts and ball hats!
I won't be returning.........
We had a 7pm reservation but were not seated until 7:45pm but after the wait everything was great
My wife and I have dined there several times, we normally get the fillet which is always great. This particular time our steaks were switched (she gets well, I get medium) and both contained a lot of gristle. We did not make any complaints as we never do, just the first time of many the steak was this way. Still a very good restaurant!!
Food was good and our server was great!
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Wellington's. We had salmon, salad, and chocolate cake which were all delicious. We asked for the salmon to be well done and it was. Our server, Jane, is the consummate professional and accomplished, yet pleasant and engaging. We always ask for her, hoping that she is available for our table. Wellington's came through tonight in all facets, and proved that it is fine dining at its best.
Food and service was great! Had a wonderful experience .
Food was great, they could invest a little in ambiance though. Wish there was a bar in there. I got the filet and lobster tail and it was cooked how I like it. Wife got the filet and king crab. She loved it. Mac n Cheese was ok and mashed potatoes were bland but it’s nice that the entrees come with a side.
Service was slow. We ordered drinks from the bar before we sat down for dinner . Glad we did because it was about 10 minutes before we saw our waiter. We weren’t really in rush but may be a problem for some. Ordered the shrimp cocktail as it was dry . Also ordered the filet and it was good but under seasoned. A friend ordered the filet and half lobster tail and steak was good but lobster was rubbery. As he said not the worst he’s had but not the best either. A good meal but expected better.
Loved this place. First time we have ever been. Filet was one of the best I’ve ever had
This was not our best experience at this restaurant. A very loud customer was setting next to us which took away from our experience. Not the restaurants fault. The food was good and the service as well. We will return again in the future.
Loved the food. Service is top notch.
The service was exceptional. Food terrific. They do like their salt though.
Our waitress had either lost her mind or was on something. We arrived and got our drinks and from the very beginning our waitress had an attitude problem and not very inviting. Once we got our drinks she said the bread was still in the oven so we ordered shrimp cocktail appetizer and 30 minutes later it never came out and we asked a different waitress that got it right out for us. During that time other tables sat down that she brought bread out immediately for. Our food took almost an hour to come out and for a total price of $220 in my opinion it was not worth it. The lobster was over cooked and crunchy. The filet was not very flavorful and had to ask the waitress 2 separate times for another drink because she kept forgetting. For the prices of this restaurant I would expect better quality and certainly better service. It appeared out waitress had no issues being friendly to other tables that were possibly her reagulars. If I wouldnt have known better it seemed like our waitress looked at us as low life poor people and we were wasting her time being there.
While the service was great, the steak was below par. In other words, we were very dissapointed with the quality of the steaks. They were tough and lacking flavor. We have had much better in a $10.00 steak. If we had not had the coupon saving us $50.00, we would have been very, very disapointed.
We’ve eaten here a number of times now. Service is on the slow side, as was what is coming out of the kitchen. The food is meh.
Though the servers have always been very nice. The drinks are okay.
The food is comped so I can’t complain and is why we continue to return. However, If it was out of pocket, we would have written Wellington’s off long ago.
Great Date Night dinner!!!
Waited to long for our waitress to come to the table to begin with. Finally get waited on she was nice and friendly however didn’t come back often. Then she recommends a salad wedge and it was basically a head of lettuce cut in 4 pieces not that great! Then food came and the steak was cold the butter on top not even melting and by the time the waitress came back to check on us I was done eating my baked potato and ask if I wanted another one!!! No. My first and last coming there.
Food is not very good. Wait staff slow. Ordered medium rare, was given well done. Waited an excessive amount of time while the place was slow.
Our server Gage, not sure of the spelling was outstanding. Great attitude
Waitress was not on top of requests, continued to forget things after asking. Forgot to bring 2 salads after ordered 2 brought only one. Rolls were over cooked and hard as usual. No refills on water until our dessert came. Food was excellent.
