Lovely tea. Food very good, scones could be a bit fluffier & portion of salmon a bit larger. Service excellent, tea choice good. Decor neat, clean, tidy, but getting old (barn theme needs a re-do).

Our experience was fantastic. The White Barn Inn is truly the paragon of excellence. Every dish we tried was amazing, and our server was fantastic.

Christmas Eve

What a wonderful night. Some of the best food I've eaten in New England. The service was perfection. Almost felt like normal pre-covid evening (but with generously spaced tables and every safety procedure followed.) Can't wait to return

Atmosphere is very romantic, service was personal and attentive and our food was beautifully presented and beyond exceptional. They made our 50th Anniversary special by acknowledging it with our dessert in writing.

Went for my husbands 50th. He is vegan. I requested champagne and snacks in the room. They brought a cheese tray. For a vegan. No special dessert or acknowledgement of his birthday, waiter didn’t return to ask us if we needed anything in the lounge. It was a full in disappointment for an Auberge.

A fantastic experience with well prepared and presented serving stages. The only place you want to go if you’re looking for the ultimate experience for that special occasion.

Phenomenal is the only way to describe our evening. The service was excellent and the food was perfectly prepared. Ever expectation was met when we dined at The White Barn Inn Restaurant. Although we told them numerous times about our dietary preferences they were for the most part ignored. We do not eat meat but were served chicken skin in two different dishes. Ambiance was amazing! I would try it again but will make sure I ask about every dish before I eat it.

Food was incredible, wine pairings were somewhat less than expected for the quality overall of the wine list.

Birthday for daughter, top rate food and wine pairing in amazing ambiance

This restaurant should be Michelin star rated! ⭐️. For appetizers we had the avocado toast with caviar which was an explosion of flavors to every bite. Next up was the lobster bisque which was elegant and delightful. I had the beef tenderloin with foie gras which was amazing and my husband had the New York strip was cooked to perfection at rare plus. The final course made up of the cheese platter and red velvet cake ended this amazing dinner. Service was top notch and all of the tables were perfectly distanced. We will be back!

Wonderful place to go for a meal.

Four of us dined at White Barn Inn this past September 2020. I cannot fault the menu, interior decor nor service as all were wonderful. The evening started off with a delicious amuse bouche and starter course, but went immediately down hill there after for 3 of us. I ordered the Maine Lobster Tagliatelle, which was delicious but a little one note. Two others ordered the Peekytoe Crab Salad which was creamy and well-balanced. The worst thing we ate all night was the Lobster Bisque with espresso creme fraiche. Three of us ordered this and were much excited by the sound of it but it was not creamy or bisque-like. It was overly salty, the espresso gave it a bitter finish and the dish was poorly balanced, in retrospect all three of us should have sent it back and it is the sore point we still remember from this experience. None of us finished this dish. The mains were mediocre at best but the part we hoped to lift our spirits was the dessert, which unfortunately did not live up to expectations. Three of us ordered the much-lauded chocolate souffle with vanilla creme anglaise, promised to be a terrific chocolate-lovers choice. Whilst I am a chocolate aficionado, I seek balance in what I indulge in. A one-note chocolate dish is not exciting. This souffle was dense, the creme anglaise (by the way we were only given one little tiny sauce boat for 3 large souffles) did nothing to cut the richness of the chocolate. I have enjoyed $10 molten lava cakes more than this French classic. It badly needed either a scoop of ice cream or some fruit accompaniment to cut the richness. Only I managed to trudge through finishing the dessert. A few weeks later I tried a chocolate souffle, at an equally pricey venue (Craft NYC) and honestly the souffle was so light and airy that the ice cream wasn't even necessary. At White Barn I used most of the creme anglaise, which did not make a difference as the fault itself was in the souffle to begin with. I regret dining here, food not worth price.

They deserve the 5 star rating. Service was impeccable. Wine paring was on point. I had filet with fois gras crust. Probably the best steak I have ever had.

Anniversary stay at White Barn Inn

The food was outstanding. The wait staff made an excellent wine recommendation. The carrot ginger soup should not be missed. It was a delicious surprise. The entire experience for our anniversary was memorable.

Overall very disappointing. We’ve been before and this experience fell very short to our last visit. Server reached across another guest to deliver food, soufflé was dry and server poured out a small amount creme anglaise from the little individual pitcher and took the rest away. Bread was basic and honestly dry. The wine pairing was poor as well. To add, the server was incorrect about the type and style of grape. Servers should know the wines they are serving. We knew, because of past dining experiences that it’s pricey, but were happy to pay for a 5 Star experience. Unfortunately, we paid for a 5 star experience and didn’t receive one. Probably won’t be back.

Mercedes is the best waitress/sommelier we have ever had! Incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. Ambiance and service were outstanding. One of the best meals. Thank you!

Anniversary - amazing time and experience.

Food is perfection. Incredible meal

The meal was very good, with lots of extra touches like the wonderful butters and spread served with the fabulous breads, a tower of sweet treats at the conclusion., etc. Service was attentive. My one complaint was the noise level in the dining room. While I guess I can’t hold the restaurant accountable, it was disappointing to be seated near a foursome where both women were loudly dropping the F-bomb while the men played sports videos at full volume on their phones. Our other neighbors included a man who audibly belched multiple times during his meal ( not a medical issue, as his wife audibly chastised him.) so I guess the moral of the story is, stay away on the holiday weekends? Again, not the restaurant’s fault, but I do believe the manager (assuming there is one) could have asked them to turn down the videos.

The experience was standard not over the top. Food was good not amazing. I guess at $200 per person for food I am expecting amazing. My main meal was smaller than the appetizer. I have had much better meals at Joe Fish in N Andover for half the money. Ten years ago the experience was over the top. 2020 big let down. Guess it goes for the whole year in general. Won't be planning on coming back any time soon.
