My husband and I both got the filet and they were overcooked mine was supposed to be medium his was supposed to be rare. The waitress did say she accidentally put mine in wrong. We didn't even get comped on anything very disappointed. The food was still good though. Note to self cut into steak before waitress or waiter leaves your table.
The food was great. The service was very friendly. The prices are actually quite a bit lower compared to other restaurants of this quality. I had the twin lobster tails, incredible! My wife had the filet and lobster Mac and cheese, show stopper!!! The bread basket with assortment of cheeses and butter, Great from start to finish!!! We will be back. Thanks
Great overall experience
Food was great and our server, Chris, was excellent. He was very attentive and caring.
Great experience, excellent customer service will be returning
We had a wonderful experience. The server was there making sure everything was great, and everyone was there waiting to refill and help better the experience.
Wish there was better lighting. We were sat at a table next to the kitchen and it was so dark I could barely read the menu. Food was delicious and filet was cooked to perfection!
Excellent food and service. The casino had given me some dining credits for there for my birthday so that helped to defray the cost.
Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Highly recommended.
We really hate that servers are wearing masks and that tables are not set with table service. Kills the atmosphere
We have dined here several times and have never had a bad meal or experience. One of the best steak houses in the midwest.
A breath of fresh air during this pandemic situation. William B's wined and dined us superbly, as always :) Food is so wonderful and staff a pleasure!
The food was delicious, as always! Our server was very friendly and attentive! When I told her it was my husband and my Anniversary, she surprised us with an entire cake which was complimentary! Our server offered to hold our leftovers and cake in the restaurant's location fridge while we went in the casino for a few hours. Exceptional food and service! This is one of our favorite restaurants!
We haven't been there for six months. After this virus I believe they have gotten better. The food was delicious.
There was no regular meat choice appetizer, which would have been nice. There was only seafood options and one mushroom option. My husbands favorite surf and turf with filet and stuffed shrimp not on menu. The filet and crab cake was not as good. Portions seem small for the price.
Excellent service and outstanding food. Highly recommend!
The service and food was outstanding!! Will definitely be back. 😊
Our restaurant experience was great but we won't be back because of the casino took all our reward points away. The new policy is you have to be there within 6 months to keep your points. We had a ton of points we saved up to use for dinners at William B's. We went to the front desk to express our displeasure and to let them know we were not aware of the 6 month policy. We were told we should be reading the rules on the casino's website. Seriously, who does that? It's sad because we liked gambling there and eating at William B's. We will move all of our casino business to Four Winds. We went to Four Winds after this happened and even the COVID-19 entry experience was far superior to Blue Chip. You walk right in past a guard that takes your temp as you walk by. No asking for DL or taking your pic. I would recommend people go to Copper Rock Steak House and gamble at Four Winds. Much nicer venue, etc.
Very disappointed which I hate saying that because I have always raved about this place. But the casino had a short power outage this weekend and so they decided they can't open the restaurant. OK... I get that but wouldn't it make sense to call or email all the people who had reservations and let them know you were forced to close so people who drive almost 2 hours can decide if they still want to come up if that was the main reason for their visit? I assume my husbands casino rep will reprint his certificate so that is just whatever. But we had to go out of our way to find another place that is "nice" to have a celebration dinner at. So we ended up at Hard Rock at Four Winds and played there for hours. The casino was very generous that night. So maybe I can't complain because it worked out well for us but I still can't get over my disappointment. No calls, no emails. Doesn't say much for their management.
Everything prepared to perfection. Service was top shelf.
Had a wonderful dinner our server Sally was Great. Everyone did a nice job considering what we are dealing with right now with Covid. Felt great to be able to dine out once again.
Our server was the most annoying waitress we’ve ever had. She was loud, condescending, and rude. When I asked for a wine list she said we don’t have that. I asked why. She said due to Covid duh. But at the same time we were given a menu. The manager Patrick is a moron. He proclaims to be a sommelier. He seems to know little about wine. We ordered a bottle of Caymus 2015 select for dinner. When leaving the restaurant to go to the casino floor the waitress asked if we’d like our wine poured in different glasses so we could take it with us. Mind you the glasses they serve wine in are cheap, heavy, small burgundy glasses to begin with. She poured our $300 bottle of wine in $1 Walmart glasses. When we went to enter the casino they said we had to dump out our glasses. We explained we just had dinner at the casino steak house. Security didn’t care. When we went back in to ask Patrick the general manager why he didn’t explain we couldn’t take the wine on the floor he had nothing to say. I told him I would like a refund seeing how I cant enjoy my wine. He refused. I asked him for a gift card for half of the price of the bottle he refused. This is by far the worst experience at a restaurant that we’ve had in years. The pork chop I had I ordered medium it came raw, the pepper jack potato gratin we ordered had absolutely no spice. When the Caymus was originally served it was cold. I will never return to William B’s. Go to Copper Rock at Four Winds it’s 100x better.
Chris was our waiter and he was outstanding!! Great experience. Very happy
Everything was wonderful, especially considering what moment we are in, with restrictions and all.
There is a limited menu currently, we missed not having the lobster bisque...but everything we had was delicious and prepared well.
was not open despite showing on open table was open. Crazy waste of a time to drive there.
The food is always fantastic here. The second server did a fabulous job in taking care of everything. Had enough for dinner the second night
great food and envirobment
Chef always has delivered a wide selection of great tasting menu items.
Our visit to William B's was outstanding as usual. We both ordered the filet mignon and mine was just a little too done, but not enough to send it back. My husband's was cooked to perfection. Even with the Corona virus concerns ramping up, the restaurant was doing a brisk Saturday evening business. The manager, Patrick, is always friendly and accommodating. Service was a little uneven, but overall we were well taken care of.
The food was awful, really awful
Food was very good. We sat for 30 minutes after our meal waiting for dessert menu or even a drink. Had to ask manager to get our bill. The waitress just disappeared until we talked to manager. Other than that it was a very good experience.
Wonderful restaurant, with excellent food and service. Only downfall is they allow smoking.
We celebrated our birthdays and everything was exceptional. Food, service, atmosphere made for a delightful evening. The best place to celebrate one's birthday. So much food had to bring some home to eat another time. That was also good reheated.
Really disappointed! Spouse and I both had the lobster tails. Lobster under cooked and mushy. Not to say that it was lukewarm and so was the drawn butter. Chopped salad was okay. VERY DISAPPOINTED!
It wasn’t really everyday dining, it was more of a date night. The Service is always impeccable from the hosts to the servers, friendly and knowledgeable. They discontinued the chocolate bombe dessert which was amazing, but the chocolate cake makes up for it!!! Also the steaks are perfect, normally I’m a mashed potato guy but thought I’d try the risotto this time...delicious! Every experience at William B’s is a delicious and memorable one.
Best food and ambiance of any restaurant in the Michigan City area.
Great experience as always. Only negative is people need to know it is not a smoke-free environment. Does not bother us but might to some.
The food was cooked to perfection with fabulous flavor!
The service the food and pricing is very very good. The only thing i think you need is to have a gluten free menu. I visit alot of higher class restaurants which all have the Gluten free menus. Also, Make your waiters and waitresses know what it is. A few times they looked at us as what the heck is that. Heck even Denny's has a gluten free menu.
We dined at William B's Steakhouse to celebrate a birthday while staying at Blue Chip, and were not disappointed at all! This was our first time dining here, but would definitely return. The food, service and ambiance was excellent!
