We went for San Felice night. Sommelier Marco was a wealth of knowledge and a fantastic host. The wines were outstanding as was the food.
Nice ambiance, excellent food
Clean Restaurant. Service was excellent. The waiter was punctual and attentive to our needs. The food (we ordered fish) was outstanding. The desert menu was limited but what we ordered was excellent. The ambiance was quite inviting. Overall feeling is excellent.
Another great meal at Winston. Our favorite restaurant in northern Westchester.
Good food - great service!
Good food, good service, nice inside, not too loud or squished together.
We've been to Winston's before and enjoyed, so perhaps this recent visit was just an off night, but it was a disappointment. We went there for Valentine's Day, with a reservation on the later side. We found the staff to be distracted -- the hostess was busy chatting with some friends at their table, our server was so inattentive to us that he literally walked away from our table in the middle of taking our drink order (and showed back up five minutes later to finish). Our appetizers were good, but the mains were mediocre, and the quantities served were weirdly small -- my wife's fish special was nugget sized, and for $45 I would have expected my "rack of lamb" would include more than two pieces of lamb with hardly any meat on them. Worst was the "ambiance" -- Latin pop music blasted loudly hardly signaled the romance of the evening. If we'd been at a dance club, sure, but the music alone nearly spoiled our evening out. Again, we've been happy with both service and food on prior visits, so perhaps V Day is just not Winston at its best.
A truly wonderful meal. Food was delicious. Service was superb. The space is open and gracious. Noise level was minimal. Made for a very special birthday!
Always love coming here. Great food and environment.
We were given a gift certificate to Winstons and dined there last week. We were were so impressed with the food, ambiance and service. My husband especially loved the Murphys Beer on tap. Our waiter was attentive and we will definitely return to this establishment. The halibut and scallops were absolutely delicious as was the cookie plate for dessert. Winstons will definitely be our go to place from now on.
Great food. Very friendly service. Amazing wine list. Able to accommodate two Vegan members of our party. We love this restaurant.
Our second visit in a week. Absolutely outstanding!
Waiter was rude. Salmon was still frozen in center. Drinks were inconsistent. Food presentation is good but lacks any real taste. Tables upstairs are too close. Have been there twice and same both times. Would not go back.
Upscale, intimate, rustic gem in Mount Kisco! Our very best restaurant when you are looking for the best overall
The food was great, the service was good, but the noise level upstairs was out of control. It detracted from an otherwise very nice evening. Regardless, would absolutely go back.
Amazing restaurant. Great atmosphere. Wonderful service. Delicious food. Good wine. And the best part of all (in my opinion) is the fact that they named this restaurant after their adorably beautiful dog!
I love the ambiance at Winstons. Very sophisticated and the service is cohesive with it. Food was good. I had short ribs, flavors would good but I’m used to not being on bone and more tender. Muscles were just ok. Filet mignon was cooked perfectly, chicken was very good and all the accompaniments were tasty. Wine was very good. We very much enjoyed it this time and the other times we’ve been.
Always consistent food and service. One the best restaurants in Westchester.
Food was delicious and so was the wine however our first glass of wine poured was such a small amount. I hesitated to order a second glass, but did and the second pour was much better.
Winston's is a pretty trendy restaurant with a nice size bar and multi level dining. Whether sitting at the bar or eating at a table, the staff is always pleasant and friendly. Food is consistently very good. Really enjoy the Bar Snacks and Small Plates selections - I love the Spicy Tuna and Avocado Toast!
I haven’t found a pork chop in the area better. I’ve tried other things on the menu and they’re good but the pork chop is in a league of its own.
Everything was lovely, but the waiter was inept. He hovered the moment we got our drinks to immediately take our orders, poured the wine without offering a taste, and got two orders wrong. He just didn’t seem to listen - or maybe doesn’t understand English well.
I’d go back in an instant, as long as I wasn’t at his table.
Our waiter was terrible. Disappeared for most of years evening. Our reservation was for 6:30. We didn’t finish our dessert until 10pm! He didn’t show up to take our credit card so we paid the hostess. Unfortunately we left a small tip. We will no longer have dinner here and will tell our friends.
I really like the atmosphere the food was yummy and well prepared and the service was great.
Wait staff very attentive to dietary restrictions
Food was delicious
Restaurant is beautiful
I minor complaint
Ordered kids meal and it said it came with a beverage and ice cream. Beverage was never offered and when the bill came we were charged for the ice cream. Of course they took the charge off when we brought it to there attention
Service was very slow but our server was a nice young man
We love Winston and have been there several times. It’s always been great - food and service. But not this time. The food was great but the service was terrible. We had to ask for stuff repeatedly and the wait staff was not attentive at all – not coming by to ask if we needed anything, not clearing dirty plates that were sitting there for a while. We weren’t ready to order our entrées yet because we didn’t want to be rushed, but the waiter made us place our entree order right when we had just gotten our appetizers. So instead of eating our appetizers, we had to take the time to order our entrées right then. They forgot our side dish despite the fact that we asked for it three times. By the time they brought it, two of the four of us were already done with our food and the other two had just a couple of bites of food left. The people next to us told us how disappointed they were with the service that night too. Not our best experience. Disappointing since we’ve been big fans. Hopefully next time it’ll be back to normal
The chef continues to impress. Salmon appetizer and beef carpaccio are to die for. Sauces on entrees are always excellent.
Great waiter, food was good buf my friends pasta dush was too spicy. Cocktails great.
1st time here.... Did not know until we got there, that Wednesday is live music day. I am not a fan of this, but there are tables not on top of the music. The band was very good good but a bit loud...
We had short ribs, and pasta... both dishes were very good. waiter was fine.....
Would likely return.
Three strikes and and my wife and I are out on any restaurant. Previous visits were underwhelming food-wise and now I'm afraid we will have to let this one go. We really like the location and decor but the menu is just not cutting it for us. This time virtually everything was undercooked. Potatoes au gratin, filet mignon and even the short rib. Short rib should be cooked long enough to melt away the majority of the fat. Mine arrived as a gelatinous blob. All fat. Not good at all. I didn't eat it and the waiter never asked if anything was wrong. Could be so much better.
We went to celebrate an anniversary & it was the perfect setting! The service was excellent & the food was delicious. There’s also a beautiful bar downstairs.
This was a great spot I had never heard of before in Mt. Kisco. The service was amazing and was the perfect place to go on a nice date night out.
Super fun night with the Brunello tasting. Happen to also enjoy the restaurant week menu. The only thing I would say is that we sometimes waited awhile for our waiter to order. Still he was friendly and kind. It’s always been a loud restaurant but the live music was nice. We had a gift card so it was a great opportunity to enjoy some special wine.
The food and service was excellent. I would definitely go back. Very impressive.
This restaurant is lovely. I went on a recent weekday night with some friends. We got there early and had a drink at the bar. The barstools are very comfortable. I has an Autumn Sangria and it was delicious! It was restaurant week and we all chose off that menu. Portions for restaurant week tend to be small, but after 3 courses I was satisfied and actually left a few bites of steak behind. I had the wedge salad, which was a riff on the classic using a red leaf or other type lettuce instead of iceberg ( which was nice). I then has the Asian hanger steak, perfectly cooked to my liking at medium rare, more on the rare side. We all got the Dirty Winston hazelnut cake for dessert - delicious! They has a nice cocktail menu and a great wine list. Wine a bit pricy, but they give a decent pour. This is a nice place for a date night , or to catch up with friends. They had live music which was nice, not too loud, but you knew it was there.
My family is visiting from overseas and we had the best time. The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly and the whole experience was glorious. The family requests for Winston each year they visit. Knowing that our family loves good food, this request is a testament to the impeccable standard at Winston.
Ordered 3 short ribs... all were dry and no bone..and no brown sauce ......disappointed. ... one order was pink inside and undercooked... not good for short ribs
This is a local gem. Cosmopolitan food & feel in a convenient and cozy town setting.
Yes, if the person was in the Mt, Kisco area, otherwise not sure
