Wokcano - West Hollywood
Excellent food, good service and convenient location for an event at the Director’s Guild.
We’re tourists who took a chance on this place. Warm, friendly and good food! Very happy with the restaurant.
Nice restaurant, very friendly workers and waiters, exceptional food !! Thanks for the experience, we will return without a doubt !!!
I’ve been here a couple times now and it’s been wonderful every time. The food is incredible and the prices during happy hour are pretty reasonable. I love the late night party roll with the sangria!! I would highly recommend this to anyone who is a sushi fan.
Delicious except the cocktail, which was undrinkable.
We have been many times to Burbank and Woodland Hills locations and this was the first trip to WeHo. They were understaffed. Hostess was taking phone orders on her cell phone when we walked in with a reservation. She also had to bring up both the to go orders and delivery service orders. She was actually on the mobile phone taking an order when she sat us. Where is the manager of this restaurant, how about getting off your butt and helping out.
Much better than the last time I was there.
I clearly told the hostess I had an open table reservation. Don't know why I'm indicated as a no-show. Otherwise the serving staff was great.
It was okay.
Would I recommend Wokcano to a friend? No. Would I visit again? Yes. It's convenient to much that I like to do in West Hollywood. But beware of that menu, which spans everything from tacos to sushi. It's impossible for a chef to specialize in such broad fare. I ordered Salmon that arrived so desperately overcooked that I ate one dried-out bite and realized that it was flat-out unhealthy to eat any more. I sent it back, and they promptly gave me a bowl of comforting Chow Fun. By then, we were running late for our show, so we skipped coffee and dessert. Nobody offered a complimentary anything, but they adjusted the bill to charge us for what we actually consumed.
Food was nice. Service was poor. Cocktails were awful aswell
Always love the Seabass here
I frequented this restaurant when I live nearby and had not been to it in a while. I was very disappointed in the food. First I had to send it back because it was far too spicy and then overall the dish was not good. It was almost like a non-Chinese person cooked the food. I would not recommend this restaurant which is a shame
The food was not goo at all! The drinks and service were great!
Surprisingly not busy for a Saturday night. Very convenient location, we had dinner before watching a comedy show at the Laugh Factory. The staff was attentive, the ambiance was very relaxed and the food was fantastic.
Good service and great location but the food was pretty disappointing. The orange chicken should have been called orange chicken skin. I’m not sure there was any meat in it, just chicken skin that was impossible to bite through and like chewing leather. Blech. Too bad as it is convenient to my workplace.
Food was fine. I hope our server doesn’t rely on this job as her only source of income because she was worse than awful.
We asked for several things that either never showed up or were not done correctly.
Had to ask again and remind her we wanted more ginger and wasabi.
Had to ask for a fork to go with our leftover food. Never got it.
Asked to have parking validated. She supposedly did, but ticket machine said otherwise and I had to pay for the parking.
Again, the food was fine.
Restaurant was mostly empty on a Saturday night. Even though it was not busy we literally never heard from our waitress again after ordering the app and drinks. Another person who was clearing the table took our order about 15 minutes after all the apps and drinks where gone. Our dinner lasted two hours and we had one beer. The food is ok, but way overpriced considering bad service, no music, and pretty generic mall ambiance. Definitely one of the worst overall values and nights out we've had in a long time.
Walked across the street after comedy show at 10pm for happy hour drinks and late night snack. Happy hour only for drinks that night. Restaurant is small and was not busy. good service, food brought out quickly and everything was delicious. We ordered walnut shrimp, 3 sushi rolls, and fried rice. We stayed drinking until closing 12pm.
Food was great. Overall it was fine. Odd note, they were showing a horror film and my kids found it a little disturbing.
A very nice place to eat with a varied menu covering several Asian foods. Everything we had was excellent. Waiter was good. Drinks were good. Prices were reasonable.
The only difficult thing was trying to figure out the parking garage which is confusing until you have circled around it a few times. Unfortunately we were there longer than the validation covered and the lack of labeling on the ticket exit machine leaves you wondering how to pay the balance. I include that only because it is part of the restaurant experience.
I would come back again if I was in the area.
It’s a nice place, but food was salty and oily. Still fun and quick place to go before catching a movie upstairs.
The food was delicious but the waitress was horrible. She was to busy running her mouth with the other waitress. She forgot drink and food that were ordered. Had to ask a busboy to get her for us to ask about our food and drinks that were missing.
Wokcano had been recommended to me a while back, and now I see why. Everything about the evening was great. Made Valentine's Day a success for me. I can't wait to go back.
Great asian cuisine and ambiance. Fast and efficient service.
I love the spicy tuna crispy rice and garlic edamame!!
Has become a Christmas Eve tradition with my friend. Food is always good, and it's usually pretty quiet so we can catch up.
It’s was a last minute choice near our hotel and was a bit disappointing. Food was unremarkable. I want to commend the bus person who made sure our drink order was prepared and delivered to us. That was the one bright spot.
There was hair in the salad, and all the orders came out except mine which when everyone was almost done eating.
Great place to eat. We will definitely be back for the happy hour.
Restaurant inside is dated and looking dirty, there is a weird table near the bar with a odd collection of electronics on it, looks like a hordes collection of out of date gadgets - very strange, hostess took us to our table with zero silverware, no napkins, no nothing, Waiter took drink orders and for some reason a green ice tea took 15 mins to bring over, food arrived and still no silverware, after waiting several mins he finally bought it over after being asked, had to ask again for a napkin - A Napkin, a single Napkin for 3 grown adults, food was bland, Tuna tasted fishy, rice in the room was mushy, the waiter wanted to be there as much as we did by the way he was acting, ive been to several of other Wokcano's before and they have been good, this place was empty and i know why, on top of all to this Parking at location is horrid, $15 for parking!!
Spicy tuna crispy rice was very good
The Miso Soup was good but the Pad Thai was disappointingly greasy.
I did not feel like the fish was of good quality or freshness every time I have been there.
People are nice and the ambiance is nice.
Wokcano is always a great place. Food is top notch in a city with many options. Hats off to the chefs and the team that puts it all together. Really some of the best food the city has to offer. Can’t stress it enough. I do wish the special occasion was recognized a bit more by the staff but overall experience was still kind courteous and delicious.
WOKCANO is solid choice for sushi. Not the best high-end sushi around, but always good quality.
Large portions, vegetarian and vegan options, great food and prices!
Portion sizes are large and the food is good! They have a variety of vegan options and good drink choices. We will definitely be back!
The only food worth having is your miso soup
