Wolfgang's Steakhouse Grill by Wolfgang Zwiener
Great. Noise level low because it was a late lunch or early dinner on Sunday. Been there for dinner when crowded and very noisy
The ambiance was great and the food was very delicious
The steak was cooked perfectly!!
This was my first time at this location having previously been to two of Wolfgang's Manhattan locations. The food was outstanding as I have always experienced at these restaurants. Service at this location began a bit rocky. We were seated, provided with water and our menus, and then ignored for quite a while until it was noticed by a member of waiter team who dispatched another team member to our table to get things started (take a drink order, offer the specials, etc.). Service improved after that but was never quite up to the level of Tribeca or Midtown. We were seated, unfortunately, adjacent to a loud table frequently using profanity (not Wolfgang's fault but it impacted the ambience). Drinks were delicious but the dessert portion size (pecan pie) was too small. This restaurant is definitely recommended especially if you like Porterhouse.
They had live music which was ok.
However, Too loud in a restaurant like this.
Service was average. Food was excellent.
The food wAs v good - service on Sat night sluggish as to be expected - but they sat us on the enclosed patio and with all the heat lamps from the.ceiling I thought my head was going to ignite. It was burning hot to the touch! My steak was v good and medium rare , but my scalp was burnt!!
Milo was awesome, delicious wine, cow and cocktails!
The food was good & the service was excellent. We celebrated my wife’s birthday & she was happy which made me felt good. We stated out with a crab cake & the Canadian bacon, which was almost a meal it’s self. Then we had a porterhouse steak for two with asparagus and a baked potato. Everything was seasoned just right & the whole time the staff was on point to were we didn’t wait long for nothing.
Excellent food as always and many choices to satisfy any diet.
My wife and I were seated in front of the wine room which is a nice view but the table was poorly lit and by the station where servers hang out. The $57.00 ribeye I ordered had more waste than meat and not worth the cost. There were no less than 5 people waiting on us with the waiter taking the order and bringing the bill. I left a note on the receipt that apparently was ignored and made a comment to the manager upon leaving relaying my disappointment in the evening. He walked away without a word said. I could have put the $250.00+ I spent for dinner for two to a much better use.
Food is always incredible. Staff is attentive. Bloody Mary's are out of this world.
This Wolfgang’s has great pasta dishes to satisfy the local clientele in addition to the standard steakhouse fare. The Rigatoni Bolognese is a must try.
While the food was good, the service was absolutely atrocious. The server never introduced himself and barely said anything to us. Never stopped by during our appetizers to see if they were ok, our food came and again he never stopped by. We felt as though we were inconveniencing him. Also where we were seated there was a large group next to us that was encroaching on our space which made it so anytime a server walked by they literally had to push the back of my chair. The music was very loud and would start and stop randomly. Overall not a pleasant experience. I would not recommend.
We are greeted upon arrival and seated, even thought the restaurant was very crowded, at reservation time. The menu offers a broad selection of appetizers, main courses, sides and desserts. Their wine list is also extensive. If you ask, as we did, they may be even able to serve you a lobster tail which was not on the main menu (it was part of a surf and turf).
Servers work as a team so there was more than one person making sure we were accommodated. At the same time we were not rushed. There is a nice bar to have an after dinner drink.
We'll be back.
Continues to be first rate. Will visit again.
A real NY steakhouse. The staff is very professional and friendly and the food is delicious. I judge a steak house by their Manhattan also and this one is great.
Best steak we've ever had. We will definitely be back.
Great night out with good friends to celebrate Valentine’s Day!
My husband and I were looking forward to eating here as we had heard good things about the restaurant. My husband had lobster bisque, which was OK. My arugula salad was very good. My husband's rib eye was cooked as he likes it, but was lacking in flavor. The steak definitely needed the steak sauce that was on the table. I had a veal chop that was very tough and chewy even though it was cooked medium and had quite a bit of fat. The best part of the meal was the chocolate mousse we took home. It was disappointing to spend $250 (with tip and drinks) for this meal . I only rated the restaurant as good overall, because the service and atmosphere were so much better than the food.
Bartendar ... he was very nice. Drinks were great!
Food had to be brought back and still didn’t fix the problem. Was our first time there... was very disappointed
Valentines dinner with my wife. We arrived about 15 minutes early and they were nice enough to sit us. But when we made the reservation we requested a booth. The guy was in such a hurry to sit us that he failed to read the notes. Then we had 5 different waiters come to our table. It was not busy so we could not understand why so many different people waited on us.
We did not get the quality of service we were told the service was known for. I was a bit confused and disappointed because the restaurant was recommended to us. We drove 45 minutes for this dinner to be disappointed about the service.
Awesome meal and awesome service. This is a gem, although very pricey in the heart of Somerville's Main St.
Great place for a birthday date! The baked potato was very dry - I couldn’t eat it - but the seafood tower, the steaks, and the mashed potatoes were terrific. The cocktails were excellent as well.
All great l! Been there many times
The bar was more than overwhelmed and as a result we decided not to have that second drink at the bar.
At 9 PM they started blasting music throughout the dining room. The service was terrible and the waiter rushed us
Unfortunately, I did not have a good first experience at Wolfgang's. We were one of the first customers on an early Sunday afternoon/evening reservation.
Two of our rib-eyes were way undercooked (very rare) when I ordered it medium (the little indicator on the steak was medium rare), the grilled asparagus was overcooked, while tasty the german potatoes were slightly burnt. The service was inconsistent because at least 4-5 people came to our table, but never the same person twice in a row.
The hostess was very pleasant and gave us a good table, the bartender changed the TV station on our request. The steak did taste good and was a good size.
My wife’s birthday everything was amazing service was great thanks iojani.. steaks were delicious .. as usual.. we will be back!!!!
Never disappointed. The service and food are excellent. Best restaurant in the world.
A great place to take clients, friends, or family members. High class stake house with a large wine list to pair with your meal. The ambiance was nice, and very well decorated.
The food was amazing! Every dish was well prepared, nicely plated, and the flavors were divine. The beef was very tender and aged properly. The lamb was done perfectly.
Very recommend to a special occasion, but well priced for just a casual night out.
Wolfgang's in Somerville as usual knocks of out of the park. With the sparse offerings of high end steakhouses in Central NJ Wolfgang's could back their game down and still be the best in the area. Nope... keeping their game tight. Good work Wolfgang's.
The food was amazing. The staff was friendly and attentive. Love Wolfgang’s.
Try it. I find that the price is well worth it. Staff is efficient and will go beyond expectations to make sure you're happy. The same can be said about the bar. And the steaks are fabulous.
The service is very underwhelming. It makes the experience of dining out much less than it should be. I hope management makes an effort to ask customers about how they feel. We dine out frequently and though there were no glaring mistakes in service, it was definitely not welcoming or friendly. Silverware was dropped on the table - not placed. Dishes were not placed in front of the person who ordered them but rather just put down in front of whoever. It was a bit bizarre. I expect much more from a fine dining establishment and I will choose to spend my Sunday night dinners with my family elsewhere. There are too many good places to eat and we’ve had so many servers who were great. This staff needs to show some appreciation for their customers.
Been here many times and have had an excellent meal. Not this time though.
The sides of spinach and onion rings were not hot...barely beyond cold.
The bottle of wine was served way too cold.
The steak was ok but not as good as I’ve had on other occasions.
I wouldn’t go there again on a Saturday evening
The service and food was not good
The food was very good but also very salty. If we went back, I would definitely ask them to go easy on teh salt. The noise level was off the charts. Also, I don't quite understand why they (the owners) *want* the cheese factor. The hostesses should have/could have been wearing clothing. There were a lot of little kids in the restaurant. People were celebrating. They really didn't have to be dressed like it was a gentleman's club.
We have eaten at Wolfgang's in Somerville many times and have always been happy. However, this time was not great. The service was slow (1 hour for the mains to appear) and the quality of the Porterhouse for 4 was mediocre. While it was cooked perfectly it was not nearly as tender as we are used to. Both sections of the steak were far from the usual tenderness and were disappointing. If we didn't have children with us, we would have sent it back, but didn't want to wait for another steak.
We'll certainly give them another try, as this seemed to be an exception to their usual fine quality.
Great environment made for a very successful business meal for very good clients of mine from KC. KC people claim they have the best steaks yet my clients were very impressed with the steaks at Wolfgang’s
