Enjoyed the new ambiance with music to compliment the fine food . My wife had the mushrooms, I had the Char . Waitress was great can’t wait to come back.

The food was great. Husband and I shared an app - oyster Rockefeller - was excellent. Husband had the shrimp with cauliflower and I had scallops with baby carrots - both were wonderful. Topped it off with a shared lemon cheesecake and coffees- wonderful experience. It was our 50th anniversary and couldn’t have made a better choice!!!

Unusual combinations of ingredients created excellent surprises for both of us! The menu focuses on fish and vegetables; interior has just been re-decorated. The kitchen and wait staff added a couple of extras and clearly are both talented and eager to please - wonderful meal and evening!

Rather different menu, mostly fish. Several extra mini courses were a nice touch. Friendly good service. Small seating size. Adds to Cape May restaurant list. Would go back.

Overall a nice little restaurant. Music was a bit too loud and the food could have been hotter.

We found YB randomly using the Open Table App. Best decision ever! Our server was Matthew, who was great. Loved the food, it seemed like each new dish was better than the one before it. We will be back the next time we are in Cape May!

We were surprised by the complimentary appetizer samplers. The food served was outstanding, very flavorful and fresh. The only suggestion is to improve the lighting as we could not even read the menu.

A great place for foodies!

Food was delicious! Not gonna lie though, the bathroom stole the show.

Everything had changed since our last visit. I liked some of the changes but I don’t eat seafood or pork so the new menu was very restrictive for my meal. What I did order was delicious and too bad I didn’t have room for dessert: it sounded awesome! The music was a very good choice but needed to be just a few notches lower to have a conversation. Looking forward to the summer menu.

The meal was fabulous! Our waiter knew the menu very well and made us feel welcomed. We were given 2 pallet cleansers that were amazing. We ordered the cannoli cake, but it was unfortunately (or fortunately) out and we were then offered an amazing assortment of deserts to make up for it. Wonderful meal and would always recommend for a special occasion.

This was a great food experience! We shared the pork belly, Chilean sea bass and scallops with samples of white and green asparagus soup and braised pork! All was delicious! Had a nice conversation with the Chef...and even snapped a photo with him! Will definitely visit again when we’re in town!

Surprised by the Menu, but our server was great in explaining the different dishes. Food was outstanding!!

We went for the lobster brunch, and I can't say enough good things! Everything we tried was fantastic, especially the lobster benedict and lobster flatbread. We forgot it was byob, but wasn't a problem. We will definitely return!

The restaurant was comfortable, cozy, and interestingly decorated. The food courses were outstanding with the waitress very attentive. Our main courses were warm rather than as hot as we would have liked but we did not think it was enough to ask to have them reheated. The menu is somewhat limited but everything is wonderfully prepared and delicious. The cheesecake desserts are the best that I have had from a restaurant anywhere. I would highly recommend this restaurant and we can't wait to go back!

Some excellent doors, but a couple of the dishes were a bit bland.

These people have skills. Move over Peter Shields. Portions are generous. Pork Bellies melt in your mouth. Top notch. We shall return.

Best dinner in cape May!

Not only a huge thanks to YB for being open in the early season during our troubled times, but it is easily discerned that even in normal times this is an excellent restaurant. Our service was perfect and the plates were equally well prepared. Really good vibe and music within the restaurant. Do not hesitate, if you miss YB, you are missing the best in Cape May.

This was our first time at YB ans it was fantastic. From the quaint chic, casual French vibe, decor and music to the excellent service by Sophia and the delicious culinary experience. The flavors and presentation of the food were wonderful. Thank you Yanni, we will be back.

Went for brunch, accidentally. Thought we had signed up on Open Table to a different establishment around the corner only to find out when we arrived they don’t take open table reservations. Luckily YB didn’t mind we were a few minutes late. Loved the ambiance and food was very good. Waiter was quite nice.

Very good food, fair prices, nice ambiance. Music is somewhat loud in case this is an issue for you. We didn't mind though. Would recommend.

Debra was our waitress. She was entirely awesome! Food was remarkable and the service even better. If I had to pick something to improve, which I cannot, I would just say the noise level was slightly more elevated than I’d like

Can’t say enough about how good everything was. The staff is so friendly and the flavors in the food were amazing. Have always enjoyed YB for years and the new menu is a refreshing change.

Definitely a new format at YB's in terms of ambiance and menu. And from our perspective, well done on both counts!

On special occasions, my wife and I love to treat ourselves to restaurants that share their love for food and presentation through their culinary artistry. My wife is a celiac and the menu fare was occomodating, so I planned a date night. From beginning to end we felt as if our night was a special one, the staff, food, and ambience were exceptional. We both agreed it’s one of our new fav spots are planning on going again in the summer when we’re back in our summer home. Thanks Y.B.! stay cool

Innovative food executed very well.
Not your average menu but that’s a good thing.

We have been to YB several times and loved it. Unfortunately this time they changed their concept and entire menu. It seems they are going for a different vibe and the choices are limited to vegetable and fish one chicken at $36 and pork belly which that is the only meat..and very expensive. What we had tasted good it was just not very appealing to return. We are very disappointed because we loved the “old” YB...I hope they can keep it going for their sake, in a beach town it may be too “fancy”

I am not one to typically write long-winded reviews for OpenTable or anywhere else for that matter, but YB is an exception.....

We had an incredible experience at YB. As vacation home owners in Cape May we are always looking for something new. On our Feb. 20 visit we were advised that this was YB's second weekend following their renovation and launch of a modified menu. This is not your average Jersey Shore restaurant. YB is high-end/NYC worthy. The food and service was outstanding. The staff was attentive from the moment we walked-in. The restaurant was at allowable capacity. Seated promptly and our BYO bottle opened, the server reviewed the menu with us. Once the orders were placed and before our appetizer arrived we were treated to a complimentary chef's soup preparation. On this particular night it was Romanesco broccoli and asiago and was on point. A treat! Appetizers were served followed by amuse bouche - fried goat cheese and roasted yellow pepper. Entrees followed and they did not disappoint.

There is no doubt we will be returning to YB on our next trip!!

Really liked the atmosphere and our server. Beautiful presentation, nicely cooked fish, and a few compliments of the chef dishes that were very interesting. One of the best salads I’ve ever had also. Our only complaint was that the Chilean Seabass was too buttery and rich that it was not possible to finish it.

What a great night out, from service , vibe and food. The whole rhythm of the meal was perfect. No rush great music low key and elevated food. What I loved was that the food was the star the flavors were not over done but really showcased the actual dish. From apps scallops and kale and Brussels sprout Caesar to sea bass and halibut mains the flavors and presentation were delightfully colorful and tasty. Chocolate cake for dessert which was just sweet enough light and deep flavor with a hint of fruit. Lovely night out with thoughtful service. Thanks will be back when in Cape May.
