Excellent lunch. Shared the meat platter with a side of sweet potato fries & smoked mackerel pate. Was all delicious. Service was excellent & covid compliant. Felt very safe.

A great venue and a lovely meal - especially welcome in this stage COVID times.

Service was excellent, but adults Sunday lunch ( beef ) was not great as only one slice and lots of fat . Children’s steak over cooked

Superb pub with excellent food and service. Lovely atmosphere and the outdoor marquee with blankets was absolutely perfect for meeting friends from another household.

The team have thought of everything to keep everyone safe and still able to socialise and have fun.

Warm welcome as always. The food was delicious we both opted for belly pork with black pudding ate every morsel ! pork was mouth watering good and everything on the plate complimented each other. Love this place great food great staff and great prices always spoilt for choice with the menu. I am a frequent visitor!!

We had Sunday Lunch which was Beef Wellington for the meat eater and Veggie Sunday Lunch for me. The Beef Wellington was excellent. The Veggie "roast" is bland but the veg, gravy and Yorkshire pud were all tasty. Service was perfect and friendly. We are happy to support and recommend this venue.

Lovely food. We had the Sunday roast. The staff confirmed that they could provide a Vegan Sunday lunch, but as it turned out this amounted to the non vegan food just being removed from the plate, no substitutes given, leaving the plate a bit bare and smaller portions than everyone else. A good vegan option would be appreciated.

Meal was absolutely excellent and the beer fantastic! I would highly recommend the Sun Inn!

Fantastic food and great staff. First time we’ve been for brunch, and will go again. Had to be in outside setting due to covid restrictions as two families but it was lovely and warm with blankets, and lovely decorations. Like the idea of artificial grass as makes it warmer and not cold and wet under foot. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Also managed to get some Christmas shopping done in the chocolate shop!!

What a absolutely wonderful place. The food is outstanding. The service is remarkable. It was very ‘Covid-safe’. We were able to meet outside but with blankets and a heater. It was just what we needed. It won’t be long before we return. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately due to COVID, the restaurant was not serving a Sunday roast at 4.30 on a Sunday.....it was pizza or nothing else. This was not communicated when booking via open table and the restaurant continued to bring roast dinners out to others who had ordered it 5 mins before we arrived. The info is not clearly available on the website and open table gave responsibility to make these things clear upon booking.

Had our visit here originally planned in March but then lockdown happened. 7 months later, thankfully this fabulous place has survived. Check in was great! A good pub doing absolutely the right thing in terms of tier checks of its punters to ensure they are placed in the right areas, legally! Thankfully, it was dry as we were ‘sent’ into the front garden under an umbrella. Food as ever, excellent and staff very attentive. With yet another lockdown looming, I wish the owners well in the coming weeks and months and just hope they and many others can still make a living and stay afloat.

Kelly and the staff at the Sun Inn, were as usual, welcoming and produced excellent food and drink.

Service right from the start was excellent. Covid precautions clearly explained and are very sensible. Food was fabulous, with the veggie starter and fish and chips particularly good. Would definitely return in the future.

Popped in here over the weekend with my wife for food. Great food and the pub is situated within a nice village.

Will definitely pop by next time.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and chose to sit in the outside marquee. We felt very safe for covid precautions. Food was very good as usual.
