Pizza dough undercoked
Fish undercooked and floppy
Other Zizzi restaurants in Central London are not that bad - maybe just an exception
Pizza could have done with being cooked through more, and a crispier base. Wasn’t great. Lovely venue though!
Zizi’s food as always was amazing , the ambience unfortunately was very loud & difficult to have a conversation without raising my voice. Surprising as well our reservation wasn’t known to the staff when we arrived but a table was still available, would defiantly recommend this Zizi’s restaurant just not on a Friday night.
Had a really great night will defo be going there again 👍🏼
Family meal out - good service food ok
just what we needed, prior to Hampton court concert
They couldn't find my reservation that I had made a couple days earlier through Opentable, but luckily the restaurant wasn't too busy so I got a table straightaway.
Nice pizza and friendly service, what else do you need ?
Amended our booking to an earlier time slot using open table, however on arrival the restaurant weren't aware of either the original or amended booking. However, despite being extremely busy we were seated within 5 minutes and had a lovely meal. The staff were very attentive and the food excellent, well worth a visit and top marks to Zizzi for honouring our booking so quickly and with minimal fuss.
I'm not a pizza kind of person but this place has the best and only pizzas that i will eat.
Not our first visit to this restaurant and it lived up to it's previous experience. Great food, great ambience and GREAT staff who were attentive but not pushy. Great selection of food and prices most satisfactory. A reliable venue to revisit and not be dissapointed.
I popped in for lunch. Sat on outside table in the shade. The waitress was very pkeasnt. Many years ago in that site was a pub called The Streets of Lindon. It is better now as Zizzi. I had a good main course and ice cream dessert. I would go again.
I made an online booking as this was for a special occasion. We waited 15 minutes to be welcomed at which point we discovered they had lost all record of our reservation. However, thereafter the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was good and we had a great time. The restaurant design amplifies noise and so it was for some at my table irritating and caused another a bad headache.
had sunday lunch here with a friend recently, nice pizza, friendly service, reasonable value
We had a sharing platter between four of us to start, we then each had a main course and a desert, we didn't drink as we had all driven but the cost was only £20 per head. Good service and a lovely atmosphere.
We had a very enjoyable lunch at Zizzi near Hampton Court. The location was perfect, just a little walk from Hampton Court Palace. We had the Classic Pepperoni Campagna pizza and the Chicken and Prosciutto salad which arrived very soon after we ordered and both dishes were very good. Together with a glass of wine and a beer for my guest, it was a very nice lunch. The service was friendly, professional and efficient.
Went to Zizzi's for lunch with my mum before the Hampton Court Palace Flower show. Situated by the river, the restaurant had good service and food was nice. We enjoyed lunch there very much
An enjoyable evening meal for 4 of us including our 7 year old daughter, The food and services were very good and children have own menu colouring pencils etc which make for an enjoyable experience
prior to the concert at Hampton Court we had a nice meal at Zizzi's, waitress was lovely, attentive and informative, unfortunately the pesce risotto that I had chosen had a few mussel shell pieces in it and made it quite unpleasant to eat. I mentioned this to the waitress and she suggested to ask for it without mussels next time.....had I had more time I would probably asked for her to replace me meal, but this is the first time I have ever had a complaint to make at Zizzi's
Disappointing. Booked a table on Friday evening for the Sunday (I am aware very last minute, especially as it was for mothers day). But the time I requested was mentioned on top table as available. Get a call sunday morning saying they no longer take bookings from Top table and that I could not have that table. Zizi's did how ever leave me a message that they had a table available at 3:30 but then received another saying that it had gone.
We live in the area and so have gone eating here several times before. We always enjoy dinner here and so we keep coming back. The restaurant is not amazingly unique or different but the service is always really friendly and while the food is just simple Italian it's always good. This time the food was as tasty as ever and the waitress that served us was particularly friendly and cheerful.
It's Zizzi's. You know what you're getting and they deliver consistently. It doesn't blow you away but it's a good chain that's easy and the food is quite good.
Hampton Court's Zizzi has a great location, with views of the river and bridge. The calzone is always very good, and chicken with prosciutto was expertly prepared. We even stayed for some excellent desserts - though wished we hand't when the 'buggy brigade' arrived. It's a shame that restaurants don't consider diners when seating families with several children - when the venue is a long, oblong room, and you have couples at one end, the solution is obvious!
Not brilliant. Garlic cheese bread starter arrived late and with no cheese (but at least they deducted it off the bill - shame we had to wait ages for it!!). No pasta I liked the sound of (how about some carbonara or bolognaise - you are supposed to be an italian chain?) so we both resorted to a pizza which was okay but definitely no gold star. Would hesitate to return and only went because going to an event at Hampton Court and it was the nearest place I could book.
An ideal stop for a quick meal
Zizzi was simple and enjoyable. Good pizza at a reasonable price with deceent service.
My team attended Zizzi in Hitchin for a team meal. We waited 90 minutes to get food. The wait was far too long. There was no apology at all. My selection was alright but my colleagues complained that the pasta was too greasy. The presentation of the desserts was very poor. The cheesecake tasted bad and would not recommend. However, the party planner called Car was excellent and fantastic customer service via telephone and email. I was very disappointed overall. Zizzi cannot handle large groups.
Booked this Italian restaurant for a pre-Hampton Court tour lunch. A starter of bite-sized gnocchi in cheese sauce followed by a light risotto filled up fine for the long walk ahead. If you can get a window seat this venue has a nice view of the bridge and river.
First thing to point out is that it's at Hitchin, not Baldock. Service was efficient and very friendly without being in your face. Food was well presented
Lovely food but not a great experience
Zizzi in Hampton Court is a great location by the river and the palace & the restaurant is a reliable and good value place for a quick dinner - reliably decent food, friendly service.
Nice food and certainly very convenient for concert at Hampton Court straight after as only 5 minutes away.
The place was busy and alive at Sunday Lunch time. The service was polite and efficient. The food was generally good but there were a couple of issues. The starter ANTIPASTO SICILIANO was very good. The Calamari was tender but a bit too salty and once we mention this to our waitress(not complaining just wanted the chef to know), she came back and said the manager says that this is how we make it, which is a bit arrogant. The Main course was OK, but bread & butter pudding was burnt.
Had a great meal at the newly refurbished Zizzi at Hampton Court. Good value with the 25% off food offer. Good service considering they were very busy, our waitress was friendly & helpful & the food arrived quickly. Love the new decor, but slightly overcrowded with tightly packed tables.
Only minor problem was they didn't have a record of our booking, but they still gave us the 25% off.
Restaurant has been recently refurbished
Of all the Zizzi 'make-overs', the Hampton Court one is by far the best. Reflecting the riverside location, it's bright & full of great memorabilia. My pizza was disappointing but maybe I shouldn't order chicken there - it's always bland. Never mind, that's what chilli oil is for. My asparagus starter was abuse to veg, though - grilled out of all recognition, it was greasy & almost inedible. Service is a strong point - warm & friendly & very efficient. I'll be back - & order my usual calzone!
I always enjoy eating at Zizzi's, East Molsey. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the food is always good. And it's excellent value for money.
Zizi Hitchin. Buzzin. Food great. Service good well recomend
Zizzi, East Molesey. Busy Friday evening, good food, service fine. Noisy, but low ceilings don't help. Overall a good, positive experience.
Zizzi's in Hitchin was busy and vibrant on a monday evening. Staff were friendly but insufficient for the number of diners, making the service slow. significantly the menu offered gluten free pasta as an alternative for their dishes which is most welcome.
