Zizzi - Richmond
New menu is superb. Great service, nice selection of wines and price is reasonable. Good place to get dinner with friends and family.
Staff were lovely. Service was efficient. Looked after our birthday cake. All very good.
Shown straight to table despite a queue at the door. Cosy table, good food and excellent service.
Had to wait nearly 2 hours for our food, we would have not received the food if I did not question what was taking so long. When asking why it took so long they failed to give a response. Overall not a great experience I don't intend in going back.
Upon arrival to Zizzi I was kindly greeted by a girl (which I believe is new) I think here name is Lumi . She took us to our tables and did bring the menus to us.
when she returned we mentioned that we had a voucher code for the Summer Menu. She again very kindly said let me check for you.
She then took the voucher to one waiter I believe his name is XXXXX, who immediately told her that the voucher was only available until 1700. I was actually surprised as he did not even looked at the voucher.
He then turned to her ( I think because she was new) and said. If you need to know anything about vouchers come and talk to me ( In a very abrupt/rude way)
I then went back to my table and started reading the terms and conditions of the voucher. There was no mention on the voucher o any time for the meal to be served.
I then went to talk to a lady (Maria) who I then found out was the manager. Who then looked and looked and looked at the voucher and eventually told me that I could use the voucher. And it was a misunderstanding.
I told Maria that I have been coming to Zizzi Richmond for at least the last 10 years. And I was considering changing my options because of the way you guys continue asking for vouchers when they are not needed.
1st - Why do we need to download a voucher code and present to the waiter before the order if that voucher code is not going to be used anyway?
2nd - why Zizzi staff (Like XXXXX) never offer us the set menu if the menu is actually available without the voucher.
3rd - why without even looking or having knowledge of the voucher offers Did XXXXX say it was only valid until 1700?? Do you guys have any voucher that can be used before 1700??
After I mentioned to Maria what happened and also mentioned that I would wait for my party to arrive (total of 4) I would then decide if we were going to stay or not.
The weekend set menu at Zizzi Richmond is great value, good wholesome Italian food.
Regularly visit Zizzi restaurants. Richmond is a great credit to the chain. Staff are friendly, fun and attentive without bothering you. Food was great and came quickly. Didn't feel rushed and had a great experience.
Whilst we arrived 20 minutes late after calling to let restaurant know, staff were very friendly and gave good speedy service in a packed restaurant.
Zizzi did not receive our booking through open table and a dish that was ordered came out 10minutes after the others because it was gluten free!
Relaxing atmosphere, tasty food topped off by perfect service from Abraham
We were impressed with the vegan menu at Zizzi. Most of the wine was vegan too. The service was good and food was tasty.
Our waitress was amazingly lovely, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend a visit
We had a very nice time at Zizzi, efficient, friendly service, nice food and great value for money. We particularly liked it because there was no annoying music blaring so we could talk comfortably. It's rare to find a bar or restaurant these days that doesn't have loud 'music' blaring.
Food was good but potion was very little for the price.
One rib with a tiny amount of meat. We did point this out to the manager.
Very good service and very nice food.
Will be coming back again soon!
Pre cinema dinner for two. We shared an antipasi startre and both had the pizza which was good and Montelpulciano D'Abruzzo which was mediocre.
The service was excellent.
Great place for a quick bite and an easy menu with no fuss but efficient service.
Great location in central Richmond and a stone's throw from the River for walking off your meal. Very busy on the day we went and could have done with another waiter but overall a good experience. Unfortunately they had no knowledge of my booking but we're able to give us a table anyway.
We were 8 adults and 6 children food ok but the service is not great, though friendly and child friendly too but they are a bit unorganised as if our number (14) was too much for them to handle :-) I still recommend it but just lower your expectations
My experience was hot summertime around 8pm in July.
Enjoyed the well made pasta and nice setting (decor of interior
is quite cool).
Location is quite near to riverside, so is great for the great summertime weather
Service was ok, seemed slightly slow even thou the restaurant was not ful
Overall : recommended!!!
We went to zizzi in Richmond. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a 2 year old with us. The children's good arrived quite quickly but the vegetables were over cooked. Broccoli & beans were too soft.
The bread basket was not good value for money.
The bruschetta had cooked whole soggy baby tomatoes on it, which wasn't described in the menu. It wasn't the best we had eaten.
But the rest of the meal was ok. For a quick dinner with the children it's ok. Not inspiring.
I remember when the Zizzi chain started; I liked the locations, the menu, the wine list - and the food actually tasted like basic, decent quality Italian fare.
It became a reliable place for meetings, treats between meetings - not exactly a 'special occasion' choice, but fine.
It is now SO dull. I know they were sold [along with the 'Ask' chain] to the company that owns Pret-a-Manger - but they make very lovely sandwiches, so what's gone wrong?
Since Zizzi is so often full of toddlers and children, has it become bland enough to suit very young palates? I could swear there's no garlic on the premises....................
Unfortunately when we arrived at the restaurant they had no record of our booking. Was this the fault of Open Table or Zizzi??
This is a busy buzzy zizzi, with all the right ingredients for a great night out.
It's hard to find quiet places in the school holidays; I really don't want screaming kids when I'm between meetings. Zizzi is a "child-friendly" chain, so I went for a later lunch, and found it very quiet - virtually empty, in fact!
Tiny portion of mozzarella with a huge quantity of tomatoes; a salad with chicken and avocado that was fresh and full of taste.
The [very] dry cider on the list is excellent.
Very pleasant staff - I wish there'd been more customers for them.....................
Meal was great. Open table just didn't send my booking thru in time. Luckily the staff at Zizzi sorted it out. Recommended restaurant.
The food was fine and the service was swift. The restaurant is cramped though with tables very close together.
Friendly service and very good food. Tried calzone for the first time and enjoyed it. My companion liked her meal too. Rose wine was lovely.
We had a party of 7 including kids and vegetarians. The food was very good and tasted fresh. The kids were kept pretty busy between eating and colouring.
The service was good but possibly slightly understaffed.
Good choice of food with some interesting 'specials' which was just right for the family members present.
Enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.
Right in the centre, good spot - waiting staff were good and the service was quick and efficient. No problems
Lunch with the children. Great service and food. Fast becoming our go to restaurant for lunch.
Had a lovely meal saturday night it was very loud due to rugby fans but that didnt ruin it any. Food was lovely and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Wouldnt hesitate to eat here again.
Understaffed, but quality service from the team there. The lichen pit the food out very promptly and we were there on a Sunday afternoon.
It's possible the greeter was having a bad day but I got welcomed at the door by his back and then a look that pretty much said "what are you doing here" before he switched into work mode. Not a good start. The food was up to Zizzi standard and we had a very nice pasta and risotto but, in this instance, the service was pretty sporadic and not up to Zizzi standard unfortunately.
It was ok for before a movie.
Popped to Zizzi's after work to catch up with a friend. A nice, busy restaurant which seemed to be buzzing with people. Service attentive and pleasant. Good choice of food and a 3 course meal with wine was not too pricey per person either! Welcoming decor, comfortable seating ( if not tables a little close to each other). Good central location In Richmond.
Met with a friend in the week for a good catch up. Was very busy. Service was great, very friendly. Food was tasty and hot and I can recommend the vegetarian calzone pizza. I like the way you can mix and match the pasta sauces to your fave pasta and I was impressed they do wheat free pasta too. Ice cream not too generous, but nice none the less.
Fantastic food, good service, great ambience and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
As always, an excellent meal - thanks
