Once again, Nate was a wonderful server - very personable and on top of everything!

Great little tacos! Shrimp and Beef Short Rib tacos were excellent. Sauces assortment was unique and very good (especially the verde’.) The chili relleno was filled with cheese, not ground beef as listed on the menu, but tasty. Marg’s were absolutely killer good, with in-house made fresh mix. All food menu items were fresh. Go for the food, not the ambiance. Service was good.

We had dinner reservations at 5:00 so it was not busy. Our waitress was very attentive. We had delicious drinks: the Blue Martini that I cannot remember what it's called and the orange crush drink. We both have the 8oz sirloin that came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cooked to perfection had an amazing flavor, the mashed potatoes were perfectly mashed and seasoned well and I'm not a big asparagus fan but it was pretty tasty.

Carmella’s Plates & Pints was an absolute hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. It has such a cozy, charming, cottage-inspired feel that makes it warm and inviting without being over the top. The food was outstanding. Everything was seasoned to perfection, the portions were generous, and you could tell a lot of care went into every dish. I ordered the meatloaf, and I could not stop talking about how flavorful and comforting it was. The Tuscan pasta was also incredible. Every bite was chef’s kiss! If you’re looking for a restaurant with delicious food, generous portions, and a cozy atmosphere, Carmella’s is definitely worth a visit. It’s such a wonderful find in the heart of the South Side, and we’ll absolutely be back!
