The Olive Grove came to fruition when two Italian travellers who were childhood friends became stranded after their car broke down just outside the city, and after falling in love with the place the friends decided to stay put and together created this authentic Italian eatery that has become a hit on the local dining scene. Filled with wooden furniture, terra cotta coloured walls and potted plants, the Olive Grove has a unique, down-to-earth atmosphere, and star dishes include the Fiorentina pizza and the scalloppine al limone – veal in a lemon butter and white wine sauce served with roast potatoes.

    The entire vibe of the restaurant was so welcoming, and the staff were so incredibly friendly. It felt like we were on holiday! The food was amazing - to the point where my partner said his pizza was better than one he had in Rome! They were not shy on the portion sizes either which is a nice change. We went on a Sunday evening and were the only customers in there. There was a lady (possibly the manager) who gave us the option of choosing our own music to play in there, which was really sweet. I have already recommended this restaurant to multiple people since we left, and will absolutely be coming back again.
