Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities. In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

The Clift’s famous and historic Redwood Room has been restored and reinvented as an exceptionally modern San Francisco bar. Suffused with glamour and Art Deco style, the interior features the original redwood paneling which, legend has it, was carved from a single 800-year-old redwood tree. The original artwork on the walls by Austrian painter Gustav Klimt was restored and re-hung.

    We had a lovely time celebrating a special day. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about how best to experience the food and made us feel so welcome. The menu features a beautiful mix of culinary influences, making for an exotic but accessible dining experience. We appreciated the offerings of beautiful Nonalcoholic cocktails. Just a wonderful experience all around.

    Haven’t had such a pleasant dining experience in a long time. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Excellent service and hospitality. The food was amazing. We had a variety of dishes. For appetizers we had falafel which were very tasty and crispy on the outside, tender on the inside. I loved the lentil soup! For entrees, the roasted salmon was perfectly roasted and had a crispy skin. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful. The other two in our family had the kefte kebabs and chicken piccata which they said were great. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse (forgot the exact name) and the date cake. Yummmmm to both. Highly recommend. We will return.
