It's no surprise that Persian ingredients such as saffron, pomegranate have made their way into other cuisines! As ancient traders took their wares to the corners of the world, they traded goods, bringing back the eating habits and ingredients from Greece, Rome, Turkey, Russia and India. Today's Persian cuisine traces its roots to ancient Persian ingredients and recipes.

    We recently celebrated my wife’s birthday at Mecca Bah Hope Island and had an incredible experience. The food and service were absolutely amazing. We shared a meat platter, and it was next level, packed with flavour and beautifully cooked. The ambience is stunning, with a gorgeous waterfront setting that really adds to the overall experience. The layout of the restaurant makes it feel relaxed yet special. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the night even more enjoyable. I can’t recommend Mecca Bah Hope Island highly enough, we’ll definitely be back!

    Very happy with our meal there were lots of G/F options as I am a coeliac and staff were knowledgeable was also delighted that there were G/F options for dessert

    Excellent attentive service. Delicious, beautifully presented food. Loud coffee steamer on the night we attended - very minor quibble. Highly recommended and already planning a return to sample more of the menu.
