We were celebrating my Father's 80th birthday; we were welcomed personally and delighted to see 80th bday decorations on the table along with a personalised menu. The food was absolutely delicious and the service impeccable. We will come more often, as we enjoy it so much.

Chez Bruce never disappoints! The wonder of the food is matched by the invisible attentiveness of staff.

Delightful staff make you feel like valued customers. Restaurant was absolutely full, but the service was still impeccable.  We ate from the set lunch menu, available on Wednesdays and Thursdays, three courses of brilliant value at £37.50. Recommend always ordering the bread and garlic butter, which is just gorgeous. (You actually need this to go with the soup, but it is not included, so it doubles as an appetiser with a glass of wine from their superb wine list whilst you are waiting).  The tomato gazpacho was piquant and delicious, followed by a combination of surprising notes with the aubergine and artichoke quiche, in particular the cider gel. The side orders of triple cooked chips and seasonal vegetables were simply quite perfect. Our red chocolate ganache, creme  fraiche and cherries desserts were a bit on the small side - but that’s because they were SO good!. I like to dine here in a party of three or four, because I do find that some, not all, of the tables for two are really too close together.  However, that does have an upside in that I have made two new friends!  Romilly, Fiona and Joy who run front of house are amazing examples of what the best in the hospitality industry should be. I have also eaten several times from the à la carte menu in this gem of a restaurant, with its open kitchen, simple styling and very comfortable seating, and it has always been superb. They are closed on a Monday and Tuesday, but open for Sunday lunch, which I am yet to try. There is an added bonus of a large car park behind the restaurant, and there are disabled spaces even closer to the rear, with only a short flat walk. Level facilities inside.

Great option for breakfast especially if you stay at Brooklands.
