Set within the historical parish of Hartfield famous for A.A.Milne Winnie-the-Pooh books. The Gallipot Inn lies a stones throw from Ashdown Forest and has an excellent reputation for food & drink throughout the area. Famous for our dishes including lambs' kidneys with red wine sauce, probably the best 'Smokie' (Poached haddock gratin) in Sussex or seared King scallops with crispy prosciutto & pesto.During the summer months fresh fish is our speciality and moving into autumn local game will be showing on the special board. Our wild terraced garden in summer is one of the best you'll find in Sussex and in the colder months we have roaring log fires to keep you warm and cosy.Our menu is 95% gluten free and is adaptable to any food allergens or intolerances.The Folland family warmly welcome you to our establishment.

The restaurant, voted for by Open Table diners as one of the best places to dine in East Sussex, offers seasonal menus with fresh local produce.We have a large beer garden to the rear of the pub with over 30 tables for our guests to use for both drinking and dining. The Plough is a country pub, restaurant and rooms just outside Rye, with a beer garden offering picturesque views of the Brede valley. Our food offer is pub classics made incredibly as well as creative cooking, whilst being ingredient led. We primarily use British produce and work with local suppliers to ensure we always source the very best ingredients we can get our hands on. Inside we have a warm atmosphere with log fires and friendly service.

    Service was with a smile and very tentative. Family of 5 ate for 144 with a couple of beers and starters. Filled up nicely and well worth it. Food was amazing and cannot rate it enough. Thank you so much

    Love the Gallipot Inn! Went for the first time only 2 weeks ago on a Monday night as a party of 4 and service and food was excellent! Best pub fish and chips ever! Loved it so much booked again for Sunday Roast for 5 of us, again exceptional! And lovely home made puddings too. We live 5 miles away but it's going to be our go-to pub from now on!

    We enjoyed an excellent meal at The Hatch Inn yesterday. It was surprisingly busy for a Monday but the quality of the food and friendly service was excellent given how busy it was. Well done!
