Alicia was wonderful. The food was great. We were there for a birthday celebration, ans were very well taken care of.

From the very personable and friendly person who brought us to our table (so thoughtful and complimentary, w/an oh-so-fine manicure and dark curly hair, coupled w/a big smile!), to Ashley, our waiter, to the gal who brought our entrees... the evening was on pointe! My vesper martini had me swooning as it was dizzyingly icy cold and made. just. so! My partner had Tito's on the rocks, which was also well received. The bread could serve as holy communion; it was warm and fresh, and, when topped with the honey butter... heavenly. The watermelon-arugula-mint salad was a kaleidoscope of colors, textures, and tastes. It was a gentle explosion like a mini-Fourth of July firework to my palate. Well done, indeed! We both had the ribcap steak; no place in NYC could have prepared it better. The sprig of rosemary + the deftly sliced meat = a culinary gem for the eyes and tummy. The kitchen was able to remove the garlic from the mushrooms - they added a dash of delight to the aforementioned steaks. It was a swell-egant evening all around. It was my first time at Rare, yet it won't be the last. We will return in August for our anniversary - #47! Thank you also for the sheer beauty and vibe of your magical place.

Clearly this wissota chophouse has a top tier chef - from to bottom the menu is vast and exquisite, and the quality of the food and experience is equally matched! Best restaurant in the area.
