Shands General is located in one of the most historic buildings on Main Street Patchogue, once owned and operated by James G. Shand and his family for nearly 100 years. Our chef-driven menu focuses on seasonality and sustainability, featuring continental cuisine ranging from freshly baked bread and local farm produce to house-made pastas. Our beverage program showcases an eclectic mix of cocktails curated by seasoned bartenders alongside a wine list sourced from around the world.Perched above Shands General on the building's second floor, The State Room offers a distinctly different experience—intimate, dimly lit, and designed as a true neighborhood speakeasy.UPDATE:Beginning June 18, The State Room returns to its original format: elevated cocktails, small plates, and a limited selection of substantial offerings, including A5 Wagyu, caviar, and our Dry Aged Burger.
