Located in Chicago's River North, Crying Tiger is a celebration of the bold, diverse flavors of Southeast Asia, and the first collaboration between James Beard Finalist Chef Thai Dang and Lettuce Entertain You Restaurants. The space, designed by David Collins Studio, merges the vibrant energy of Southeast Asian night markets with Chicago's architectural character, featuring a photo-worthy tiger rendered in hand-glazed ceramic tiles, a winter garden, and a 10-seat semi-private dining room.The menu showcases shareable dishes inspired by Chef Dang's travels across Bangkok, Vietnam, and beyond. Highlights include Prawn Toast Youtiao, Clay Pot Lobster Pad Thai, and Grilled Wagyu Beef Nam Tok, alongside curries and inventive desserts from Netflix's School of Chocolate winner, Pastry Chef Juan Gutierrez.The cocktail program from Beverage Director Kevin Beary balances craft and creativity with an equal number of cocktails and zero-proof beverages inspired by Thai and Vietnamese café culture.
