Chef/owner Marc Cohen cooks solo in this Michelin Recommended 24-seat restaurant in the heart of Montreal's coolest neighbourhood, the Mile End. The ever evolving tasting menu is defined by the seasons and aims to showcase the best ingredients Quebec has to offer, while supporting small farms and sustainable agriculture.
The cooking is precise but unpretentious, eschewing elaborate plating in favour of bold flavours. Marc practices whole animal butchery in conjunction with Lawrence's own butcher shop a few doors over, and bread, charcuterie and preserves are all home made. The extensive wine list is devoted to the work of small natural wine producers whose practices promote soil health and diversity and who's wines reflect both terroir and tradition.
The dining room is warm, intimate and quiet enough to have an actual conversation. Lawrence can accommodate large groups.
