In 2017, during her long-awaited holiday in Tokyo, Anj, our Head Chef, discovered a tiny ramen shop that changed her life. The bowl of ramen she tasted was a perfect blend of comforting flavors that brightened her spirits. After returning to Canberra, she found herself craving that unforgettable broth, leading her on a mission to replicate the joy it brought her.This journey culminated over six years, resulting in the creation of Ikigai Ramen, a cozy restaurant designed by her father, Joe, where patrons can enjoy heart-warming bowls of ramen crafted with love.We invite you to experience that memorable taste with us.     We love this place!! It has such a fresh, clean and energetic vibe. The food is just wonderful. It is THE gem of Gungahlin. Once inside, you forget where you are - could be in Melbourne or some other foodie city.

    We booked for an early birthday dinner and were welcomed by wait staff busy setting up for the evening who immediately offered drinks and menus with brio. Ramen was tasty and had the long noodles symbolic of long life. The place was buzzing with families, regulars and takeout orders but we felt well served. We will come again, even without the excuse of a birthday.
