Daróg Wine Bar (Irish: small oak tree) opened its doors in July 2023 in the heart of Galway city. Daróg is a place built around sharing good wine, food, and conversation. Brought to life by husband-and-wife team Zsolt and Edel Lukács, it’s a space shaped by shared passions — for wine, food, and art. In 2025, Daróg received a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, while Zsolt was named MICHELIN Sommelier of the Year for Great Britain & Ireland. The bar was also recognised by Wine Spectator with an Award of Excellence, and named Wine Experience of the Year by Georgina Campbell.
