Welcome to Down the Hatch - EDINBURGH!We are a diner focusing on diner style food with big flavour, fresh ingredients, huge taste and all things Canadian!! Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted from 8pm onwards. We have a 10 minute grace period for your booking. Please give us a call if you are running late for your booking.Your table will be booked for 1 hour 15 minutes for bookings of up to 6 people; and 1 hour 45 minutes for bookings of 7+.We have a limited number of outside tables. These are not bookable at the moment and are on a first come, first served basis.Last bookings are 9.15pm as our kitchen closes at 9.45pm, 7 days a week. Please call for any more information.

Situated at 4 Newhalls Road, the restaurant also offers seperate breakfast, dessert and children's menus. As the name would suggest, The Railbridge Bistro is located near to the Firth of Forth railway bridge, and offers excellent views. Edinburgh Waverley Station is a twenty nine minute drive and Arthur's Seat is a thirty four minute journey by car.

Meals are served from midday onward until late, every day of the week. Live entertainment is featured as well as simple 'street food'. Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. Mimi’s Bakehouse has become one of Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries and an award-winning brand which is a well-known “feel good” place to visit, while remaining small enough to go the extra mile and try new things.
