Aside from our server Alex being attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, they have a service that I’ve never experienced. My wife is highly sensitive to MSG. When we asked Alex if they used MSG, he took his IPad (ok. It wasn’t an iPad but it was some electronic device) and with it, he had every menu selection and every ingredient. He was able to single out MSG  and the device was able to show every meal that didn’t have MSG. It was miraculous. To anyone with any food allergy, this is the place to go if you want to be sure you can eat with confidence. And the food was delicious too.

The drinks were delicious. The apps were yummy. But then... The main course came and I can tell you I have never had a better pork chop in my life, and I'm not young. So much so that I asked to speak with the chef. Just absolute perfection. Thick, tender, juicy, and oh my god the flavor! The ambiance was great, as was the service, but the FOOD! Oh my god, the food. Tremendous. I couldn't recommend this place more. And PLEASE order the pork chop.

We had a great evening at YOLO celebrating my partner’s birthday. The food was excellent, drinks were well-crafted, and the short rib was a standout. We also really appreciated the birthday dessert—it was a thoughtful touch that made the night feel special. Overall, a fun, memorable experience with a great atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

The scallops are spectacular and the cocktails are spot on! Always a great meal at the Japan Inn!
